Was I lucky for a Saturday morning perhaps? Plenty of parking and they brought a bin over to my truck to dispose of scrap metal from various projects, disassemblies, and repairs. I wasn't looking for cash so the whole process was less than ten minutes.
Be sure to count your money after it comes out of the machine! Before you walk away. There is a sign saying to do so. I grabbed the money I saw and didn't count till I was pulling out. The rest of my money must of been caught up inside the machine? I guess I donated it to the person after me. Went back and saw the sign and they said there was nothing they could do.
I called first. I asked them if they take small engines, I have 2 pressure washer engines. They said yes. When I got there the guy said he could give me 3 cent a pound. He could only give me the price of metal because there was lots of metal inside. Then he said they have a 300 lb min. My 2 little engines couldn't add up to that. So then he said I could just leave them there if I wanted to get rid of them. I said no thank you. I drove over to All WAYS METSL RECYCLING AT 1425 Magnolia. They took them and gave me 7 dollars.

DONT GO TO THIS PLACE TO RECYCLE COPPER. THERE PRICES ARE NOT GREAT. 2.50 FOR COPPER. YOU CAN GET BETTER SOME PLACE ELSE. ALSO, THEY DIDNT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ROMEX AND 30%. PRETTY SAD BECUASE HONEST COPPER RECYCLING IS HARD TO FIND IN SAN DIEGO.

Poor customer service, they were being lazy and had horrible customer service. So I made in before they closed. Once I’m in there I put my scrap metal in weight box container. Then thay told to remove a big half half car size of junk because it had a little piece of plastic, so then they weight and didn’t want to pay me because it was under 300 pounds. Then I tell them to add the other item since I removed the plastic from metal immediately, and they start saying that they can’t pay me because the register was closed and they wanted to go home. By then I was over and I should have made them give my scrap metal back, but they could shove that money up there you know what. That’ is kind of like taking advantage of people. I’ve been there before and the service sucked. Will not be going back and I really need to go put a complaint to the BBB. I know this is not going to solve anything so will not be returning ever at all.
Came here as fast as I could right after work since I know they close around 4:50 PM and I made it in time. A car next to me was in the middle of sorting, so I picked up how they were doing things and followed after them.
The wire bins are for cans and bottles and I asked a worker which one for glass and he helped me grab some of the gray trash cans. I asked him if I needed to separate the brown from clear and he said no worries just to throw them all together.
He helped me with them over to the scale and once you are at that part, you just wait for them to weigh everything you have and the worker behind the computer will print you a ticket that you sign and then hand you your copy .
Take the smaller ticket and turn to your right to the ATM and scan the barcode where it says to on the left-hand side it’ll take a few moments for it to process it but then it should start dispensing your money. I’ve never seen an ATM used at a recycling center but honestly it’s so efficient!!
They have a very clean facility and the prices for each item listed at the register. I highly recommend them and I will be coming back to them for all my recycling needs in the future!!
I have never seen rude and unprofessional service specially Juan who accepts metals. I was close to this area and decided go cycle the old furnace. He said it supposed to be more than 300 pounds to get paid. lol I did many times even dishwasher and other light metal appliances in different but they are making money by fooling people. Do not recommend!
Honest working man, they made me feel like i was stealiing the copper i was trying to sell them. Never going back to sell them my shiny bright, they are plastic an aluminum approved , sad.
I called so many places yesterday trying to find a recycle center that would take 4 refrigerators that I wanted to throw away. Then I would find some and they would charge me. Then I found this place and they took them no problem! Customer service was great. A gentleman man and took the fridge off from my truck and I was all set to go. So just wanted to give a shout out to this place for the help and great service.
This is hands down the best recycling center around East County.
I’ve been coming here for years and the customer service is beyond exceptional.
They’re always friendly, helpful and fair in pricing.
One year during a major heatwave
I brought the crew a bunch of waters and Gatorade and yes, they were still working with a smile.

First time here today, and I must say I have never been to a recycling center with this kind of customer service!!! I didn't catch his name but the forklift operator is just a great guy!!! We had convos and he even helped me grab extra bins. He answered all the questions I had and smiled the whole time! Prices were great as well I'm definitely bringing my recycling here from now on!!!
10/10 I would recommend this place is very nice and offer help. Especially the worker named Danny he is very nice and very helpful! They buy almost everything and very good deal!
Well I’m a little disappointed… that I didn’t find this place sooner! They pay better than other recycling centers so of course it gets busy. That’s not the fault of the business, rather the patrons. I have not had any issues here. The staff was helpful and friendly, but most of all they have integrity. It’s nice to have the peace of mind knowing you’re working with an honest business and that you won’t be taken advantage of no matter how much, or how little, you know about the process. I give it a 10/10. Highly recommended.
Been here two times, once when they first opened and once just yesterday(9/29/22). Both times the place is a madhouse, busy,busy, busy. Difficult to get in and out of and both times the line was 5-10 people deep. Surprising because just a block away is another recycler that gives more money for aluminum.
Some are helpful, others are not. It is not organized very well. There is NO place to wash your hands afterwards. Yes, I brought wipes but still, you gotta have some place for folks to rinse their hands. Only good thing about this place is they print out a ticket and you take that ticket to a little ATM machine on sight that dispenses your money to you.
Redemption process is straightforward. Clean and well-run. Small parking lot. This business is very popular and gets very crowded with lines of cars waiting to enter. The staff is helpful and professional. They do a great job getting everyone in and out safely and quickly.
This was a good place to go easy to find. The work is there for helpful and friendly asked me if I needed anything. When I cashed on my cans and plastic bottles and just ask you to sign and they give you a slip. Now you take that slip you scan it on a ATM type machine. It's very coronavirus protected because you don't have to touch the money from them machine.
All the workers there are so very helpful with whatever you need! Whether it's getting in there to park, or taking bags away or helping you with strolling your baskets across the driveway, and they are always so pleasant!
Good place to collect your cash for those cans and bottles you've been hoarding. Price dropped since the last time I visited but they have their act together. Plenty of tall wire baskets available with wheels that work. Friendly staff to assist and an ATM to collect your $ after scanning a bar code on the receipt.
This is my favorite recycling place in San Diego. It's easy to sort your recycling and get out quickly. Juan is my favorite worker. He comes and helps me if he has time. Currently I'm a little over nine months pregnant and wanted to get my recycling done before baby got here and was having some difficulty bending down and he helped me get through my three bags quickly. I would definitely recommend this recycling center.
I have always came here to do my recycling and will continue to do so. They are very helpful and have great customer service. They are always working hard to help the community and the earth by keeping it clean of trash and stuff to harm the environment. I have always been treated with respect and always asked if I need any help. They even go as far as having a conversation with their customers. Not like other places.
