Doesn’t take cans or any bottles. Only takes Scrap metal. No CRV per man who thought I was begging for money. They only have credit cards there so not a good place to go and sell ur scrap metal. Also new in town. Just bought the place.
I went in today to recycle some metal i had laying around the casa. I had an egr cooler from a semi that weigh at least 40 lbs. I had a few other small piece of scrap steal that probably weighed around 20 lbs total and then I had a transmission out of a f150. My total weight came out to 160 lbs. If my math was right then that transmission only weighed 100lbs? I call b.s. that tranny weigh at least 300lbs. I took two people to pick the thing up and load it in the back of my truck. I'm going with thw rest of the reviews and going to say the are a rip off. Won't go back again. Better to drive the extra distance and go to fontana.
I had been here. At that time I received $25.
Today I stopped again. I loaded much heavier than before.
Because I loaded a washing machine, I estimated to get about $50.
But this time is $5. I was shocked at $5. I stayed about 10 minutes there with saying nothing. Maybe something was wrong with weight or unit price.
The old reviews describe the old management. The new management gives you prices that are more than fair. When in doubt about the quality of the metal, the weighmaster has always given me the benefit, and given me the better price. In January, I had two loads of steel. I took one to Grand Terrace, and was disappointed. I wish I had taken both loads to Central Metal, as I got a better evaluation and a better price. Beware! Some places give you a price per ton--but they are measuring by the metric ton, or "long ton" which is 1000 Kg, or about 2200 lbs. Make sure you are getting a price per pound for accurate comparison. They don't pay CRV on containers.
