I didn't expect an inland city with nothing to show for it being capable of charging nearly double for an extraction, compared to a beach city where they have people and things worth losing.
Extortionists and honest jokes of service providers.
Purposefully towed to a yard almost 20 miles from the pickup site that "requires" an extra $250 weekend services fees on top of adding ~$80 or more per day as of the exact second they pass the gate.
Multiple items were also stolen out of my vehicle amounting to over $200 in losses on top of the pathetic excuse of business practices.
Even though they towed my RV, for the police department. The service from michell and John was the best. They were very helpful. Ask for michell when you go she's cool, and very helpful also. But their tow prices suck.
I had a breakdown with my driver on the I-10 East. CHP called PEPES Towing, and initially, I was a bit frustrated that a towing company was dispatched without our approval, as I was in the process of coordinating with another provider.
At first, their driver mentioned a rate of $600 per hour, which I found quite high. However, I stayed calm—especially since we're based out of Houston, TX—and was eventually able to speak with Chris, a manager at PEPES. We had a productive conversation about our situation and were able to come to a mutual understanding.
The truck was towed to a nearby mechanic, and the final charge we agreed on was reasonable.
This experience reminded me that sometimes, staying calm, collected, and having a respectful dialogue with another business owner can lead to a fair and honest resolution.
We went to the Colton location to pick up my husband's stolen truck. They were very brusque. We were told 'only one person can go see the truck' and as my husband walked through, they shut the gate in my face.
Prices are ridiculous, had to pay over $700 to get my car which I get was on the weekend but hadn’t even been a full day, distance wasn’t that far
either but it was after hours, I understand it would cost extra but it’s still ridiculous pricing, not only that but I also made an appointment to pick it up, I even showed up early to the place but the person who was supposed to show up hadn’t shown their face, luckily one of the drivers showed up and was able to help me out but by the time I left it had almost been an hour and the person whom I had the appointment with was barely going to leave their house apparently, didn’t show up by the time I left, I was lucky one of the drivers was barely getting there and was nice enough to help me out otherwise I don’t know how long I would’ve had to wait
I called in the morning for a tow and dispatch said 1-2 hours I waited after two hours had past waited a little longer so I called and dispatch said sorry we won’t be able to get to you so I asked why didn’t you call me you had my number she said we got busy . I asked for a manager and when he came to the phone no hi hello how can I help you he straight out said we can’t help you I can refer you to someone else so I asked him the same question why didn’t any one call to let me know he said he didn’t know and nothing else . Terrible terrible terrible service
They charge a arm and leg if you get your car towed by the police. It's very sad they u already going through whatever u going through with the police and they break u off with outrageous tow fee like $450 for tow and $70 a day terrible. No wonder how they can make a good living .
At 2:00pm my car was tooken by this company for no reason at all when I asked my manager why my car was token they told me because my parking permit was not up today in which they manger also said that they are up today so I called the company and they tell me that my tags are expired in which they are still coming in the mail when I informed the manager George about the situation he told me that my apartment signed off on it but both had two different stories
Just another tow company that scams people with exuberant fees. They towed my elderly family members car because it was parked on the street & had not been registered for several months. After having to pay the police traffic department $340 to have the car released, we get to this scam tow company to pickup the car & was charged over $600 (because the car was there for 4 days). I understand penalties, but this should be totally illegal. There's just no way of justifying charging that kind of money for towing a 75 year old ladies car (or anyone else for that matter). Nothing but pure greed!
Very shady towing company. Multiple times I’ve dealt with them in my life. They have lied about people’s vehicles being abandoned if they are only parked for a couple hours. After pulling this stunt on me, they attempted to steal an expensive gbx150 Noco jump box out of my back seat that I paid $400 for. They had left with the Noco when they towed my vehicle and I raised hell about it. They ended up bringing it back to me. I also had personal belongings within my vehicle that I needed to recover, and they told me I need my registration to prove I’m the registered owner. I the. Told them the registration was in my car that they took and that they could retrieve it so I could gather my social security card, my title to my other vehicle, and other very important things. They then denied me and said I’d have to get a copy from the dmv. They also said that there is a fee of 150 dollars to do anything there on the weekend. Absolutely disgusting and crooked business.
Had my car towed from the Target parking lot. We were only gone for about an hour. When we returned, it was missing with no indications about who towed it or where it was taken. I initially feared it was stolen. After much effort, I found out who towed it and was charged $660 for its release from the impound. It seems they made a huge profit, having towed hundreds of cars.
Dirty scam artists... I'm sure they made at least 50k in one night towing all the cars from the target parking lot after hours. No posted signage for 1 hour parking and no posted signage for no event parking. We have parked there in the past after hours with no issues. In this economy I think it's scandalous to charge so much. Sad sad days. I'm sure they sleep well at night knowing how many people they hurt financially.
Towing company is a scam artist there was people parked often on all day where I parked and they even have my truck up in the air when I asked him to release it he said he would charge me $143 just to just to release my truck. I told him people are parked here all day they didn’t care to less I do not recommend this company to anybody place is a scam artist. I repeat, do not use this business. They are a joke.
Predatory towing company that will tow even when the entrance to the lot lacks proper signage (one entrance even had no signage at all). No express reason for the towing needed (not blocking traffic or disrupting business) but simply setting up a situation to charge people. Also did not abide by California law in terms of how to release the vehicle to it's owner (both in timing, access to personal belongings/medicine, and not accepting a legal title as proof of ownership).

Without any prior warning and nothing left on my vehicle telling me that I have to move the vehicle or it was parked improperly or not in a designated area and parking it there for a month straight with no incident or warning prior to that day

They towed my car when it parked in my Designated parking and left a car that was parking the grass with expired plates and has been there for wks. Just wonder why they took my 2019 and left the 1995 Honda that parked Illegally with expired tags there untouched?

Got in a horrible crash last night, and they won't let me into my car, because only my husband is on the registration. They don't let you drive back to your car to collect things either... So bring your own bags or a wagon if your like me and keep provisions in your car! I won't use this company again!

Woke up sat morning and my car was gone I thought it was stolen no note or nothing called police department and they said it was towed I called pepes and they said my car was past the red lines at my house. I ask to see the pictures they wouldn't show me they have to show me Its the law.and my manager said if one of the tires was past the line it was ok..so I wanna see if both of my tires were past th line..I'm not working my wife is the only one right now we're low income and I had to pick up my 5 year old twins later that day..they charged me 525 just for 1 day this is unbelievable.....and my uncle Benjamin barazza worked for pepes towing for 20years and knows the ower and his brother and still screwed me over
Customer service ok.. But it needs more yard personnel. My business car was impounded For No Reason by the San Bernardino Sheriff's From the city of Highland Ca.. How can the city of Highland can collect money from me such a police release fees of $215 if the car was impounded in the city of San Bernardino?. This is a scam from the city of Highland and the Sheriff's police station in highland ca... They are collecting money that belongs to the city of San Bernardino... My car was not impounded on the city of Highland?
I am definitely disappointed with them not being able to help in anyway possible and so greedy to their money. I understand it's a job, but I got my car towed from my house's parking lots because i was "blocking" in a parking lot.They just took my car no message, no warning; not anything. I just got a letter January 31,2020 in the mail saying I owe around $900. Why couldn't they tell me right then and there when they towed it, by calling me or something. This really is poor service. I'm disappointed with them not even trying to do more. Your customers are what makes your service resourceful. By making your customers feel happy in a terrible situation is what counts, and this is not it.

We arrived to a strip mall to shop. Pepe's Tow Truck driver was standing outside one of the businesses helping one of the employees threaten customers. He had his truck on and ready to tow anyone that exited their vehicle. So unprofessional. Laughing at people . He was doing anything the young lady told him to do. DON'T USE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS.

This place is completely unprofessional. Drew on the phone was rude called me an “idiot” was and condescending. Was lied to about the price 2x, and they were uncooperative when told about the discrepancy in policy. I never write reviews and I am a reasonably and calm person, but DO NOT COME HERE!!!. Horrible service and poor professionalism.
My daughter was in a minor accident but her car was not drivable. I called this place because it was closest to where we were and they told me it would be 40 min to an hour wait time. They did not show up until 2 1/2 hours later. We called them and all they said was sorry they were busy. Not only are they over priced but service is terrible.
