My battery died jumped it and went to Autozone, big Bear lake. I was greeted by Kirin C. He was very polite and tested my battery. Battery failed test. He walked me over to the battery section and sold me the best one for cold weather. He was very knowledgeable and kind. He removed my bad battery and installed new battery. I am so very pleased with this gentleman. He provided me with top notch customer service and was just awesome. Kirwin is an asset to your company and deserves a raise. Thank you Kirwin, so very much.
I came in for a car battery around 545pm on 2/7. The employee who helped me went out to my car to see what kind of battery I had, showed me my options, and then installed the battery for me which I greatly appreciated! Both employees I saw while there were very genuinely friendly and helpful to me and to all of the customers who came in while I was there.
As a local shop manager i would like to point out that Stacy is an outstanding commercial account store manager. She’s knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely cares about making sure everything runs smoothly. She takes the time to understand our business needs, offers helpful solutions, and follows through every time. There have been several occasions where Stacy has gone out of her way on and off the clock to make sure our shop has what we need to completea vehicle repair. The times I have been in autozone I've observed how helpful stacy is with assisting her fellow employees and customers with a bright smile on her face. Stacy is constantly trying to familiarize her self with the parts so she can gain more knowledge to be better at her job. Employees like her are hard to find.
I've told Stacy multiple times that if she wasnt there we wouldn't use Autozone.
This review is written to warn the Big Bear Lake community and local businesses about serious leadership issues at the AutoZone commercial department.
Stacey, the Commercial Manager at this location, represents AutoZone extremely poorly. My direct interaction with her was disrespectful, hostile, and unprofessional. Her demeanor alone is enough to drive customers away.
Beyond my own experience, multiple business owners in Big Bear have voiced long-standing concerns about her conduct, lack of professionalism, and poor judgment. As a result, several local businesses have already chosen to stop using AutoZone altogether.
In a small community like Big Bear, leadership matters. When a commercial manager damages trust instead of building it, the company suffers. Unfortunately, that is exactly what is happening here.
AutoZone should take the concerns of the local business community seriously before further damage is done to its reputation.
I've got to mention an amazing gentlemen by the name of Thomas R. I wasn't able to tip him for his kind service and seriously needed a suggestion regarding a purchase that I was making and just desperately needed everything to be kept simple and to the point which he was able to do professionally.
I had a lot going on and it was clear he could perceive that and went with the flow of things to help me just get in and get out. I'm sad that I can't give him 6 stars so I'll just have to stick with 5!

Amazing service, my cars battery died and was corroded very badly. It was a difficult fix but Tyler V did it with a positive attitude. Helped me decide which battery to purchase and even figured out which terminal accessories needed to be replaced for me.
Located on Big Bear Boulevard, this convenient location was a life saver for us during our last trip to Big Bear Lake. Needed a gas funnel, since I forgot to pack it and the kind staff of the were very helpful in finding the right one for my needs. The store is very well stocked, clean and the staff members were absolutely the very best, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. There is plenty of free parking in front of the store.
We stayed at big Bear Lake for a week and just as we are about to head down the hill and back to Arizona. The check engine light came on. It’s Sunday. No shops are open so we went to AutoZone to have them do a diagnostic check real quick. The staff was amazing. Turns out there’s an issue with the gas cap that was it so thankfully were able to head down to the bottom of the hill with no issues. Thank you so very much to the staff. Really appreciate you guys.
Came in to dump some used motor oil. A young man took my oil drain container from me right when I walked in the door. Excellent service and much appreciated. The store is clean and well stocked. It’s my first time visiting since I’ve lived in Big Bear. I would not hesitate to return.
Had a great experience yesterday. Was visiting my daughter in Big Bear and needed a new battery. Kirin was very professional, personable and helpful as he replaced my battery for us. Also the female assistant there was also kind and considerate. Many thanks 😊
So far they have always had what I need. I really like being able to shop for what I want, pay for it and then they send me an email when the order is ready, I walk in, say my name, I get my stuff and I'm gone, 2 minutes, in and out. Friendly employees for the most part.
Had good service experiences both times. Good people. BUT...The quality of their house brand parts is not great. First Camry alternator only lasted 2 years. The replacement for it had stripped threads so the threads had to be repaired before it could be installed. Have also received poor quality Toyota Matrix cv axles that fit and worked but required a massive effort (slide hammer) to remove (when it was time for another repair) because the machined c clip tolerance to clip into the transmission was incorrect.
Nick, the sales manager was very helpful in guiding me as to what kind of electric switch I needed for my battery in my jeep. He was kind, professional and very knowledgeable. This was by far the best Auto Zone I have ever been to and will be the only one I go to...thank you Nick!!
I needed a new battery and Santiago was amazing!!! He helped me get the battery I needed and even installed it in my car. The bolts were kinda sized and it was not an easy job but Santiago was able to do it. I would highly suggest this store.
Gave me a bottle of map gas that was rusted and said that's just how they get them I'm going to go to DIY and see if they get them like that now.....DIY was not rusted and cheaper.
I purchased snow chains from here online. They said the ones that I bought were no good so they upsold me to better ones. Spent $240. Just to find out that it doesn't fit. We took it back not even an hour later and was told that all sales are final.
I called just now and reached out to a manager of the store (named Jared I think). I thought maybe he would even try to empathize with my situation but he basically said he gets thousands of people like me calling him every year. Must be good business scamming thousands of people at this store.
When I asked what I should do, he told me to contact corporate customer service. I asked for the number and he told me to Google it. Now that's customer service at its finest!
Daniel provided excellent customer service! He was super helpful, communicative, and kind when he assisted my husband with our car battery. Thank you for making our visit to auto zone in big bear such a great experience.
I have to let the manager know that Daniel is an excellent employee and I am so impressed by his customer service. Being on vacation with a dead battery and AAA with no replacement available led me to this Autozone. Daniel helped with everything from battery replacement, starter and alternator testing. He is very courteous as well. Give him a raise and pay him in gold please!
I love autozone! I've been a going to these store for over a decade and I've never been disappointed with them. When I heard we were getting one up here i was so excited! I just got a new marina battery for a boat and couldn't be happier with it. The staff are very professional and happy to make suggestions for discount and sales. Sure you could call it "up selling" but if I want then I want to know. Will be going back tomorrow for something no doubt.
Santiago was super duper helpful in helping us find the correct snow chains. He explained to us the differences & assisted us on putting them on. Every company needs a Santiago because he is the most knowledgeable and nicest person of autozone.
The shop was 20 minutes from closing and I had an emergency sensor replacement due. We were very happy to meet Santiago who answered all our questions, and helped determine the problem, with patience and kindness. He even stayed minutes after closing, and went above and beyond to assist us. Thanks to him I did not miss my flight! Best customer service experience ever! They also had everything we needed in stock which was convenient!
I just needed to exchange an item, Santiago was very helpful. However he needed a manager to okay it. Which is where the trouble started. The manager, Nick, lied about being on the clock and had us wait for someone else to okay it.
Then he continued to ask the employee that was helping me to do something for him. I guess I was wasting his time, since he said he busy with his customers after another manager help me. I will be going off the hill for my auto parts from now on. Really expected more out of a new autozone.

They still have problems ordering parts and connecting with other stores to do so. That should be worked out in a week or two i was told.

They actually have prices on each and every type of oil, quart and 5 quart container. Very helpful.
Best experience with these guys drew and his crew were great help. I had to do an emergency alternator replacement (with my family in the truck) in front of the shop they lent me tools and even lent a hand . This is a new store with great customer service
