I was sent to the wrong location by Airbnb thank god for James assisting us so we didn’t have to drive an additional 16 miles round trip. Blessings! Love the big bear community.

The employees at this facility provide the best service with great attitudes. This location makes it extremely easy to drop off all your household trash, from small items to large furniture. The employees here make you feel welcome every time and are extremely helpful with assisting you with heavier items. Thank you guys 🙌

It's really unfortunate that the city decided it would be a good idea to use these sites for essentially vacation rental trash only. I've thrown the collected trash from fishing and hiking trips away here for years. Along with recycling my water bottles and tons of cardboard. Or trash I find in the woods at camping spots or on the side of the road. Now they want to see an i.d for me to throw away a grocery bag of fishing line and random trash from a walk along the lake? Or to recycle ♻️. And they want me to pay to drop off stuff at the big dump. Even if it's from cleaning up someone else's mess.. I could understand if I was loading up a pickup truck with trash. But they really shouldn't bug people about throwing away a small bag of trash. This is part of the reason why the forest lake and all the sledding spots are full of trash. They make it so difficult to get red of trash and then claim to be "clean bear" Major fail on the cities part but what's new. Asking of Identification like it's 1940 Germany. Zeigen Sie mir Ihre Papiere!

Was a good place to bring trash but now only usable by residents of big Bear Lake city and none of the surrounding areas. Per their website starting December 1st, 2022: "Clean Bear Sites are only available for the City of Big Bear Lake residents with the ZIP code 92315. Proof of residency is required."

The workers here were some of the most friendly people I have ever met, they helped my group with separating the trash we had while also showing us where to put each pile.
