This place is a scam. I took my cans and bottles there. They kept 5 percent of the money I had paid for the deposits and should have gotten back. Actually, that looks much better than a lot of the reviews here. I complained. The rude guy with the reddish beard blamed me! He said I should have told them I had wanted them to count my cans and bottles. I rebutted that nobody asked me. I go there maybe once every 3 or 4 years. Never again. And they have a freaking tip can! It's like if someone robs you on the street and then asks you for a tip for that. Absurd. Don't go to this place ever.
I’ve always taken my cans there for a few years. I usually go twice a year and get about 50 some odd dollars for four or five bags of bottles and a big bag of crushed cans. The last time I went there a few months back I got around $25 for the same amount. Something‘s going on there for sure.
For years I've been coming here 3 or 4 times a month. Almost always with about the same amount of recycling, consistently getting about the same amount of money in return. A few weeks ago I was told not to come back because they will not serve the homeless anymore. Despite the fact I do not have a car and walk over to Ponce, I do have a home. This was very frustrating to say the least as I tried to plead with them that im not homeless. Ive made attempts to reach an owner to no avail. If someone from Ponce will contact me that would be great.
So after a few weeks I took my recycling over to Apple. It was my usual sized recyling load and to my surprise the payment was about 25 percent higher than I received at Ponce for the same amount of recyclable goods. Ive gone back three times since to the same result.
PAY ATTENTION!!! I never leave here feeling like I got paid for 100% of my stuff. The guys seem to intentionally move extra fast when it’s time to weigh. It almost feels like a giant game of game of 3 card monte. Today I had 8 bags of compressed plastic & 2 large bags of squashed cans. 2 more bags of plastic plus an extra bag of aluminum- more than my usual 7 bags which average about $65-$70. This trip was only worth $76. I can’t prove anything but it feels light by $10-$15…
Everyone it's very helpful and and it does get busy, and they do the guys do get everybody weighed and paid as quickly as possible. People need to get some patience, remember, we're only there a short time. They have to be out there all day long and it's hot..
If you want to Leave pissed off this is your place They ignore you if you dont speak spanish they tell you to move wherever your standing Some lady said Good Morning and they said move!
Please someone call the Authorities on them. They maltreat people specially older ladies. They played dumb they don’t speak Spanish with a broken English, really! Plus they do steal weight to pay little to nothing close of what it is. This place has to close.
They were all quick to steal some of our heavy cans and bottles then played the English card like they didn’t know what we were saying when we questioned it. At that point though it just wasn’t worth the stress it’s not gonna be my karma.
Please weigh you plastic and aluminum at home, they ripped me off, my mistake was that I didn’t let them know that I knew the weight, they pay me less then half from what I had, please be aware
There is a new younger guy who appears to be taking the recycling and not paying the customer for the recycling and he tries to act like he doesn't speak English but I know for a fact that he does I have seen this several times I don't think this is good something is going to happen or maybe they need to be closed down if they can't be honest with the people of this community
I take my recycles in once a year. I have always received over $100 ea time. Went to Prince the guys took my bags said they weighted everything and gave me $44! Ripped me off will never return to this place. WARNING WARNINGplace and don’t let those guys steal your
They pocket cash…Have friends/family write bogus 5 star reviews because nobody likes to be there, especially them.They’re annoyed from the actual work, they have to perform to rob you with an unsophisticated hussle that even a child would be wise to.They’ve been doing it for years.
I drive over 25 minutes to get there before they closed. Showed up 10 minutes before 5 but they refused to take my cans even though their business hours say they close at 5. If they are going to stop taking cans before 5, they should state that in their business hours.
Don't take alot....shorting people...smh...didn't want me to see what he typed for the weight..on the screen...smh...#City of PalmSprings...Needs to get rid of the Theft...
These people steal from you. I had TEN full bins of recycling. They were still dumping my recycling into the bin when they handed me my ticket with the refund. They tried telling me CRV for California is not 5 cents and 10 cents per container although that is what is stated on the bottles and per California law. I had a truck of recycling! The last time I brought less stuff and made 140. They were still emptying my cans into bins when giving me my ticket. Complete theft. They also did not include the bin of glass beer bottles as you can see on my receipt!!!
Terrible directions to this place and when I finally found them buried behind a grocery store some guy with a big grin clearly enjoying the tiny bit of pathetic power he had over me said that they were closed even though it was 5 minutes min till. So rude, would have taken not a minute to help me especially since I had my recycling separated and I took all that time to find them. I will drive twice as far to turn my cans in next time.

are very efficient, helpful and courteous people.
They are so organized that you are out of there in a jiffy!
And now you’ve got cash in your hand that feels like it’s FREE!! ?.
?Of course, its not free… You paid the CRV on all those bottles!- Which is all the more reason to start collecting on them!!?
NOW, you can top off your gas tank!!?
Or maybe get the kids some ice cream!!????
In fact, you should bring the kids along with you! It may help them to better recognize the value of the things around them… Like TRASH?
(Then, all of a sudden one of your kids announces: “Ive changed my mind about becoming a Rocket Scientist, Dad…. I can make a lot more money with trash!!”)

My initial experience with recycling, was to just make sure that recyclables went into the correct bin like you’re supposed to do.
Then it dawned on me one day to give a recycling plant a try! - It was after a party and I had too many bottles to fit in the bin!!
It was so fast and easy, and they even handed me cash?!!
Just enough money to buy the gas to get home… But still a good thing!
You pay all those CRV’s fees whenever you buy a drink… SO GO GET EM BACK!??
Make sure you watch the weight scales, they will bounce it and give you the wrong amount. Also, it's best to weigh your bags and see if you get the right amount of money. They have cheated someone and myself before.DO NOT SIGN the receipt until you are 100% sure you have the right amount you deserve. They are scammers. BEWARE.
I have been going there for awhile already and the workers there are really nice and helpful yes it very clean and organized I would recommend everyone that needs to recycle to go there you will be surprised.
They are relatively helpful but you have to watch them closely. They often exclude some things in the count of the white water jugs. And be sure to count your money before you leave. They’ve left out $5 of $10 once in awhile
The employee on duty did not offer to help me unload my car (pre-sorted bags). After he told me to move my car, he did assist a young (20’s) in sorting his recycling. While he did that, I (a 78-year old woman) dumped my pre-sorted bags into barrels. I then had to wait for the young customer, who got there after I did, to finish sorting his recycling. I’m grateful for the assistance of an elderly male customer in getting my car emptied. The employees never even acknowledged me or spoke to me.
All three employees watched me struggle to separate the barrels that were stacked up. The money I received seemed very low for the amount of recycling I brought in.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Pulled up to the facility was immediately greeted by a recycling employee who offered to help me unload my truck that was very awesome the place was extremely clean nice place to recycle. The only thing that was a little troubling was a homeless man that was trying to be helpful by standing in line with me, he told me his name was Dune and he insisted that I look at something on one of his testicles, I offered him a dollar not to see them and he took the dollar and left. When I was done and driving away I saw that same man deficating in front of the ace hardware store. All in all I had a great time doing my part to recycle
I just found this place a month ago area behind smoke tree business Center plenty of parking staff was friendly . Since Covid glad to see there’s a place to make a few bucks to pay for my golfing.
Yesterday I used the Ponce Recycling facility in Palm Springs, CA. It was easy to find, close to where I live, efficient, clean and it was staffed with friendly, helpful people. The key to recycling is to make it simple, I will continue to use this facility and I would encourage others to do the same.
