This company is dirty. In order to keep your loan and incredibly high finance charges, they will keep from sending a 10 day payoff to a new lender. This affects your trade in deal and causes issues for you to move on. My son is going through this now. What company doesn’t have an email address now a days, unless they are trying to hide something? I would avoid this company at all cost.

Can’t get ahold of this place. Got a car a few years ago. It was a shit car from the DEALER.(not newport’s fault) I no longer wanted the car, so I let them repossess it… Ok so current day… I’m working on Re establishing my credit and this is one of the bridges I need to cross to make it there. But this is where things get weird. WHEN I was looking into my credit they have the car listed on my credit report as CNL MEANING they have stayed they NEVER repossessed it. And cannot locate the car. But they came banging at the door begging for keys and let us grab our belongings. Like 2am. Which ok I get it but I literally called them and told them to come get the piece of crap……. Anyways…….And it’s showing two different company’s with the same balance of what was owed….. So when trying to contact them I’ve had no luck and I’ve talked to a few places and they stated there must be some weird fraud going on within this company. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company. unless you plan to actually keep the car and pay it off. I never had any issues with payment or anything else just this is unbelievable.

I just paid off my car loan last month. Never had an issue with this company. Only issue was not being able to pay my payment online. Customer service was always great when I had to call in.

Hello everyone, I wasn’t going to leave a review until I read this,and this came from the “OWNER” of the company..THE OWNER!!! 🤣 Newport Acceptance Corporation (Owner) a month ago Most satisfied customers don't go to the effort to post a Google review, and we don't make any requests that they do so. We're busy enough trying to take care of our customers, and don't feel the effort to request online reviews is a priority. So what you see here is typically from people who are lashing out after they fail to honor their contract and are frustrated that their car was repossessed, or the few who are frustrated that we can't take credit cards or take their payment over the phone. Let’s break this down shall we. The OWNER said. “Most satisfied customers don’t leave google reviews “ 🤷♂️ what?? Are you kidding me?? You have it the wrong way around. A satisfied customer is more likely to leave a google review on a business,than a unsatisfied customer. You have to really have messed up or have done something wrong to receive multiple One star reviews. The OWNER said “ We're busy enough trying to take care of our customers, and don't feel the effort to request online reviews is a priority.” We’re busy enough as it is!! We don’t care about Google reviews, yet the one lone 5 star review that was given came from someone who was paid to do so.. That person left a 1 star on Carmax of all places 4 months ago,yet 6 months ago they magically left a 5 star review for NAC and not only that,they mentioned that they were about to pay off the car in which they bought 6 months ago 😂 yeah right. If things were so awesome at NAC why go to Carmax???? On to my favorite part the OWNER said and I quote “ So what you see here is typically from people who are lashing out after they fail to honor their contract and are frustrated that their car was repossessed, or the few who are frustrated that we can't take credit cards or take their payment over the phone.”😂😂😂😂 Since when does the owner of a company,unless it’s a small business and I mean very small. Take the time out of their day to reply to complaints with a complaint 🤣 “Oh these reviews in which we are too busy to care about because we’re so busy taking care of our customers.Are from people who got repossessed,or people mad that they can’t pay over the phone. Or from people who couldn’t HONOR Their contract..😂 and you guys wonder why the customer service is terrible..look at their leadership. I’ve read just about all the reviews,and throughly did my homework before I made this post. 92% of these complaints are about customer service,bad and or misleading information or just bad communication skills from people at NAC..and I know I know ..they all work within a earshot of a manager..so therefore they wouldn’t dare give horrible information along with rude customer service. The other 7% comes from people like me who have done everything right and still have issues with customer service and or the “policies” that you guys decide to make up.. as the other customer who left a review about the insurance..you guys are trying to run that same game on me. My car note is $330 I send them $340 every month and have not missed a payment. As I explained to them I bought my 2018 Camaro in 2020 paid it off and did nothing with my credit which made it go back to N/A. So I needed a little cheap car to get my credit back to where it was 670-700 ish.. I also have AAA full coverage,500 deductible and NAC as lien holder. Remember you can’t even leave the car lot without full coverage.. I bought the car in April and found out today after checking my credit that they have been saying I’ve been making all my payments late,and guess what as of APRIL THEY ADDED $1800 of their own insurance..so the day I got the car they added their own insurance..and every payment even though I’ve been paying a little more than I owe, they have marked as late because now my payments are magically $510. Don’t let these guys play games with you. Lawyer up. They think that everyone on a subprime loan is broke..not me😁👍

I think it’s ridiculous how many bad reviews they got. Aside of that this company doesn’t have over the phone payments online payments only mail and the stupid scanning barcode. Some people don’t got time for that. When is this going to upgrade…..

We only took their loan because of our credit. They are a predatory loan company. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE IS RUDE. I wish I could give negative starts. Horrible company. Never doing business with them again, and definitely never ever recommend to anyone, or my worst enemy.

Couldn't have gone to a better place for my car loan. Everyone I've spoken to over the phone has been helpful, kind, and quick to call me back if I leave a message 😊 Editing to add- I'm close to Pay off and this company has worked with me so well the whole time! I got the car to help me get on my feet and get away from a domestic violence situation, and it worked thank you guys for helping me to do that!!!

Worse company to work with. They are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. They are a hack. I was 1400 from paying my car off. I had my car in the shop, during which time I was having surgery. I called and told them that $1000, would be sent. The NXT few days they repo my car. I got out the recovery the next week. I called and got no answer for two days. I called again finally someone got the Jesse person and he said no money had been received. I checked the tracking and it had been received by there company. This place is a call center and a fluke. Stay far away from this company.. You can't make payments here either

I was shocked by how rude, and inconsiderate the service reps that work here are. Never In my life have I ever been spoken too the way that a guy named Jessie spoke to me. He tried accusing me of “asking for a hand out” when I did no such thing, he tried telling me that I didn’t communicate when I was behind on my payment, which I in fact called NUMEROUS of times, and he in no way even tried to understand my situation when I told him I was dealing with someone who stole my identity, and cleaned out my bank account, he just kept telling me that I should have made my payment, and I kept asking him “how do you expect me to make my payment when someone stole my identity and cleaned out my bank account?” To which he responded saying “that’s not my problem” and then proceeded to accuse me of lying. They have the most UNPROFESSIONAL people working here. I’ve been in customer service for over 10 years, and have worked in call centers, and NEVER would I have spoken to a customer the way Jessie spoke to me. Then when I was trying to get my car back after it was repoed, I was trying to get it all done the Friday before Christmas weekend, and the first time I called around 4.50, someone answered and then just hung up, and then the 2nd time Jessie answered and said “yes ms. Haws were all getting ready to leave for the day how can I help you?” Is that a joke? I think it’s obvious I’m trying to get my car back before Christmas weekend so I wouldn’t have to pay for anymore days then I needed too, but to have someone answer the phone like that is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Then when I finally got my car back today (December 27th) I called to ask if I could possibly change my due date because I previously spoke to another rep who told me that once I paid the amount I owed them then he could change the due date for me to give me a little bit of time before my next payment was due, so after paying the amount, and getting my car back I called to change my due date, and Jessie responded saying “you’re asking for a lot ms. Haws” are you kidding me?! That’s asking for a lot? First of all another rep was the one that told me about that, and second of all, I don’t understand how asking to change my due date so I wouldn’t be late again and go through this again is asking for too much?! Then when he asked me what date I wanted to change it too, I said let me see when my next payday is and he responds saying “you need to have this information ready before you call” ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND UNNECESSARY!!! It would take me 5 seconds to look up my next payday, and to tell a customer that was outrageous. I was so taken back by Jessie’s attitude, his unprofessionalism, and his lack of effort. He was not helpful, understanding, or tried to work with me in anyway! I don’t know who gave this man a job, but I would be HORRIFIED to have this man working for my business or my company. He makes NAC look bad. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They will not work with you, help you, and you will be spoken too so rudely, and unprofessionally, and talked down too. There are far better finance companies out there! Seriously stay as far away as you can. And they need to fire Jessie ASAP! I would be embarrassed having that man work for me or my company!!

I thought this Finance Company would help out there clients times are hard and things happen suddenly that changes all of our finances.I spoke to a rep and explained that I'm a mother of the client and I am trying to help to make payments on the account.So the Rep spoke to There Client which is my young adult child informed him that the payments will be extended now because we made that payment.We thought evereything was going good I just went to make a payment and it was suspended I spoke to a Rep and it was horrible all of a sudden now the payment is doubled and now client is qualified for a extention and to fund out that one rep never pushed out the payment to the end of the contract this is very unprofessional also keep in mind threats do not help the Rep was acting as if we were hiding the vehicle and acting so unprofessional now we cannot make that payment it's suspended I do finances I would never suspend any account especially in these times what ends up happening to finace company's on the end is they go on to furlough they lose buissness cliental that helps them succeed and the reason bad happens is because finance companys need to help there clients because once a vehicle is sold once they go to court and the client has proof txt they can not affordxhuge payments the Judge will grant $25 are $50 dollar payments because theres laws that passed to help out citizens with financial issues i hope NAC WAKES UP TO HELP THERE CLIENTS they are not helpful and once they sell the vehicle they try to get there clientele to pay off the balance but now there are laws that help all citizens.THE REPS ARE SO UNPROFESIONAL AND THEYCTRY SO HARD TO GET THERE 200 BONUS BY NOTVHELPING OUTVTHERE CLIENTS AND TRYING TO USE HORRIBLE SCAREXTACTICS THAT NEVERCWORK I WOULD ADVIZE EVEREYONE YOU NEED TO NOT GO THREW NAC.THERE IS ONE REALLY GOOD FINACE COMPANY OUT THETE AND YHEY WORK WITH YOU EVEN IF YOU ARE BEHIND 2 TO 3 PAYMENTS ITS CALLED TIME FINANCE PLEASE LOOK THEM UP THEY ARE GREAT!ALL I WANT TO SAY NAC HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE!

Wow I thought I was wrong on what I was thinking about this corporation but after I read the reviews I figure it out I’m not the only one, after they keep requesting me for a insurance proof I send them every email my insurance send me proving that the car has insurance they keep asking and asking for probably 7 months, ohhh they said after they get what they want they are going to remove the extra charge on my payment guess what today they told me that I have to pay the extra charge even that they have everything to prove that the car was always under insurance, also they told me they don’t record the calls so they don’t know who told me they are going to remove the extra charges on my payment, so bad corporation. Oh by the way the car I’m paying is on my daughter name in case you don’t find my name as a customer.

Also the worker Daniel talks very rude he cuts u off and antagonize people he has multiple complaints against him and this company I encourage everyone to contact better bureau of automotive and report all your problems with this company

This "company" is unbelievable. I seriously do not know where to begin. Talking over the phone to them will drive you mad, instead of giving you a dollar amount they want to chastise you ... Then when they cannot provide an answer they are ready to end the conversation. I have found a MAJOR discrepancy on the paperwork they provided. I asked for a.detailed payment history and they gave me what looks like a generic template, with partial information. I put down 2500 when i purchased the car in June. For some odd reason they have no payments made for that month ... In fact they have the wrong asking price and they didn't have the correct balance i had when i drove off the car lot. I've been trying to contact them and they literally have been ignoring me. Can't speak about an extension, ... No mail corespondents or emails noting my insurance , ... Address change or an explanation on why my 2500 down payment is missing. They refuse to call me back or answer all they are doing is having repo dudes follow me so they can take my car. I complied with everything they have asked and they won't even extend professional courtesy of discussing THEIR mistakes. Those guys are bullies ... Plain and simple.

Absolutely horrible. I've been dealing with the same problem over and over every couple of months. I have full coverage obviously and have the deductible they require and all. Yet I still get letters threatening that if I fail to send them proof that they are lienholder and the insurance is what they want, they will add to my balance. They have added to my balance every single time. I provide proof each time and the balance doesn't go back down always. I'm so tired of this. I literally just got a letter today. I have also never missed a payment. I'm so tired of the constant hassle for no reason. My insurance has also never changed. It's really frustrating and I feel as if they do this to get more money out of you. Just be careful with this company.

Well I'm a payment or 2 away from pay off. I have been late a few times even forgetting a month by accident. With all that I have no complaints there not bad to work with if they'd finance another car I'll be ready over the summer. And having had a stroke they made sure I didn't stress over payment told wife to get it in ASAP n keep them posted. If you do what your suppose to I'm sure you'll have no issues.

These guys are real dirt bags. Ya of course their rates are through the roof as predatory lenders. We're forced to used them because our credit isn't good enough for better rates and companies. That's our fault and they seize the opportunity to prey on us. The problem is that when you talk to them, deal with them in any way you feel like you are dealing dirt bags that only have two things in mind: A) getting as much money from you in any way they can and B) to get. you off the phone so they can go back to swindling other people for their money. They make me sick.

I must say I see a lot of the negative comments about the poor customer service. Speaking for my self I have never had a bad experience with any of the representative. Even when I thought there was a issue I was able to get it resolved with a phone call very quickly. And one thing you MUST DO is read your contract From front to back before you sign it. And for myself I'm looking forward to working with them again.

These guys are bad. I mean if your dealing with these guys then most likely your credit isn’t great and you need a car desperately so go for it I guess. Just keep in mind their interest rates are basically criminal. I gave them 2 stars because at least they sent the proper documentation when I paid off the loan. Avoid if possible there are other banks that will approve you. Bare minimum ask your dealership what other options are available.

It's sad how the customer is treated when the customer is the one who pays your bills without customers your finance company wouldn't exist. I bought a 2007 subaru wrx limited, 2 owner super clean car, I had a problem, finding out the engine it had, it was advertised as 2.5 but it had a 2.0 (EJ20X). Well it's non of their business to handle that situation since they're just a loaning company, they contacted the dealer and spoke to him and tried to solve the issue, well the dealer had no clue it had a different engine, which I think its BS, mainly because of smog check, anyways they discounted the original price of the car and I paid to get the corresponding engine (ej255). I always make my payments on time either on or a day before, they never give me a hard time with payments or questions I have, in my experience with this company, if you're professional to them they'll give professional service to you. Been with them for 1 year now.

Not only do the repo on the first missed payments , they are very mischievous secretly working with the dealers to re sell and re take cars & not land any ownership to its customers. Furthermore , they there only have hidden fees , from payments , to car tows , they find a way to charge 100 any any late fee . Worst part is it’s mostly not on paper , I don’t know if it’s Even legal or Not . I speak from experience & currently experiencing.

I had no problem with this company. I made all my payments on time through Western Union. They were great! Plus my credit score jumped tremendously. This is a good finance company for beginners... I have ran across really bad finance company's, like Westlake finance co. They repossessed my car for being late on my last payment after getting into with the Latino manager that was out to make the company a extra buck for his Christmas bonus. After getting my Porsche back, two months later. I received a check in the mail apologizing for the inconvenience and he was fired . Newport is the worst scumbags on face of this earth. After two years of paying on time with a very high interest rate. I'm trying to figure out if this Latino manager is the same one from Westlake. when he talked to me over the phone, he made me so angry and upset, I just hung up in his face. I was 7 days late on my payment they repossessed my car. I haven't heard from them yet. they wont take my call and I haven't received anything in the mail. I'm done with Newport !!! ill see them in small claims court. for all my possessions that was in my car. They broke the law and no fancy attorney can help you in small claims court . to be continued....

Please don't do business with them they don't care nothing about their customers... I got in an accident on Friday and damn near lost my life so I called to let them know the car was damaged and I had been in an accident first thing the guy George ask me was I making my balance up to date which was 51 dollars (are you serious dude) , I almost died and all you can ask for was 51 dollars!! My point if you put your money towards a company and your going to be making payments for a while at least make sure their customer service is up to part and their customers come first regardless the circumstances

I don't like this company, I am 3 month behind got laid off, I just recently got hired I called them to let them know, and I guy said why don't I just give the car back, I said no I don't want my credit messed up, he said it's already messed up with 3 months behind I let him know I have enough for one payment he said no you owe too much money, I TRY to help if you had two car payments I told him I don't have it , so I said ok I'll call you back. I was not denying that I owe the money, they just don't want or care about ppl only money.

The worst company in the history of auto financing companies. They just want your money and rip you off as much as they can. I started with a loan of $7,000 and now it turn out i owe them over $10,000. They have horrible customer service and do not care about costumers. Avoid this company at all cost.

I have used this company for almost 2 years! I have not had any problems with them. The only thing that ever happened was I was getting married so money was tight, and I wasn't able to pay them ONCE on time. I did get a late fee... But it was my own fault. It wasn't a huge late fee, about $12.00 or so. I am so grateful they financed my car... My credit isn't the greatest! I feel very lucky to have them. My last payment will be December of 2013! I so cannot wait!
