Probably just my bad luck but I won't go back. They technically got done what I asked them to do but it was a struggle. Lots of lack communication and misunderstanding. I had to call or text them them in order to get information on how the job was proceeding. Claimed they fixed the car and they didn't need to do the requested job. Upon driving the vehicle it was clearly still broken and I returned to the shop. They said I couldn't leave the car overnight and needed to just bring it back when the shop opens at 6am. They looked at it again and then agreed that the cause of the problem was the job I originally asked them to do. They had to add an extra charge because they didn't know about special programming with this particular job. When I inspected the work after I got home, the engine components underneath the job they completed were covered with brake fluid that I then needed to clean. I hope it's not that the brake component they replaced is leaking and it's just that no one bothered to clean it after installing. Find out soon if it is actually leaking but I won't be going back for them to try and fix for a third time.

Richard is fantastic! My Mazda dealership told me I needed a belt tensioner replacement, but Richard had my car checked by multiple mechanics and determined it was just fine and didn’t charge me for anything. Thank you for being so transparent!

Great shop! Explained what was needed to be done without condescending, which as a woman, I really appreciate. Prices are fair and transparent. I definitely will be coming back and telling my friends about you.

Great Service yet again!!! Brandon, Rich and Mason are awesome at Nick's. Them and their mechanics/electricians work extra hard to make sure your car is given back in tip top running condition. Had a Starter go out and they found a MOPAR part and had it up and running in know time. Very Professional, Reasonable and Courteous. Very Recommended!!!👍🏾

The staff is nice and professional, but I have been in and out of here multiple times in the past few months when I feel like a thorough examination of the car could have found all these issues and saved me time and multiple tows. They are also extremely expensive and don’t communicate super well. Incident 1: My clutch went out, then the fix they provided only lasted a few months so I had to get a new one, at a cost rivaling any dealership repair. Additionally, the car now makes a noise like a buzzsaw because something is loose. Incident 2: I was told after a checkup that my battery was bad. Fine, I replaced it. Now the car will not start again, despite everything having power. I feel like a checkup should have flagged if there is a larger issue with the electronics system. I wish I could give a better review cause I like the people here but it’s just been issue after issue with this shop.

Nicks always takes good care of my vehicle they are always honest about what is critical for my car to function and what can wait. If you want good service with no BS; Mason, Rick, and Brandon are your guys.

Just came in for a simple job. Rear parking brake actuator came loose from previous botched dealer work. They finished quickly and they inspected the other brakes. Additionally, they didn’t try to upsell me and charged me a reasonable price for what I knew to be a quick job. I’ll be coming here for my car maintenance from now on.

These guys are great. Felt like taking your car to the local mom and pop shop where they really want to help the customer. There are not a lot of places that give you that kind of vibe in Irvine. I was happy with my experience and will return if I ever need help with my car again.

I was searching the Google for a spot where to have my car serviced, when I found Nick's Auto Service and decided to give it a try, after reading good reviews. I dropped my car to Richard who was already welcoming and empathetic with my car issue. After that, I interacted with Brandon, telling him my car history. He kept me updated while I was away for work. I finally picked my car fixed and met Mason, the new owner, very friendly and passionate about his business, thing that I could pleasantly notice in all of the team I saw. Frustrating experience. I contacted them to fix my battery connector, and they gave me false information right from the beginning. They kept wasting my time with misleading updates and never followed through properly. Definitely not a place I’d recommend if you value honesty and your time. To your response This response is nonsense. I clearly explained the issue when I contacted you, but instead of providing a proper answer, you asked irrelevant questions and dodged responsibility. Don’t act like you value integrity when your actions show otherwise.

I had an amazing experience with Nick’s OC AUTO and Richard in particular. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, honest, and kind. I was dealing with a complicated issue with my Prius, and they took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. Even though I ultimately had to let go of my car, their support and transparency made a difficult situation much easier to handle. I truly appreciate their honesty and care. Nick's OC Auto Service provided truly exceptional service and exceeded my expectations. I recently brought in my Corolla because of a check engine light. They accepted my car on very short notice, accommodated my travel schedule while the repairs were performed, and updated me on the status of the repairs every step of the way. I felt that my car was in good hands, and I was impressed with their professionalism and high quality of service!

I cannot say enough great things not just about the quality service and car diagnostics, but the customer service is just top notch. It really feels like family is taking care of my vehicle and me as well. They want to make sure my vehicle is safe so I am safe. Honestly, go no where else but to Nicks!!!

While it's fair to say that many auto shops have their moments of full schedules and back-to-back appointments, Nick's still manages to meet expectations on service whether you're a walk-in or booked ahead on their website calendar. The team there are very transparent, knowledgeable, and understanding; they really do want you to get back on the road with the best repairs and part recommendations. While waiting for repairs I've seen their staff and mechanics speak with the utmost respect to other owners (in-person and on the phone) while giving them the space to make their own decisions based upon the professional and vehicle industry experience feedback/recommendations.

10/10 experience here! From making the appointment to bringing the car in the customer service was phenomenal here! I brought my car in because another auto shop quoted me for over 800 for repairs that I didn't even need. I truly appreciate the honesty, kindness, and efficiency of this auto shop. I will definitely be returning!! They even have these nice mats to protect your car. Places like this are rare.

I have been going to Nicks for almost 2 years after experiencing poor service and high costs at the Dealership. Whether I'm dealing with Richard, Brandon or Mason, the result has been the same. They are professional, up front and honest when advising you on service and/or repairs. Their overall knowledge of the industry and of various makes and models of vehicles is impressive.

I've been going to Nick's Auto for the last two years as I've got an old car with over 200k miles on it that needs constant repairs. This shop is the only auto shop I will ever go to as long as I live within Orange County - the attention to detail, the impeccable service, the time they take to walk me through the explanation of the issues, all top notch. My vehicle had so many issues prior, and they took great care of my Acura. I can’t recall everyone I spoke with but Mason and I believe Brandon were so knowledgeable and explained all the car components in a clear, understandable way. Mason and his entire team at Nick's Auto are second to none. My car broke down two days before my dad's memorial service. I was sad, frustrated when I called AAA. I couldn't believe the timing of this to happen. AAA recommended Nick's Auto. My car was towed there and immediately I was greeted by Mason and Richard like an old friend who'd come to visit! In my time of grief I felt blessed to have met these guys who are very personable and make you feel at ease. The mechanics are exceptional. They thoroughly examine your car to diagnose the problem correctly. Their prices are reasonable. The results are fantastic. My old car now runs almost like new. I've been driving for over 35 years. Without question, Nick's Auto is the absolute best auto repair!

Last Thursday late afternoon we broke down on the 405 South in Irvine. Got towed to Nick's, the closest repair facility, after an overnight stay nearby. Random chance of choosing them. Nick's got us back on the road to our San Diego home three hours earlier than anticipated. They expertly diagnosed major radiator repairs, treated us quite well, and we were very satisfied. Great experience. highly recommend.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Nick’s. I was lucky enough to come across their shop while looking for somewhere to service my Chevy Volt’s AC system. The staff was beyond courteous and helpful throughout the entire service process and beyond. I do most of my repairs and service myself, but I knew my issue would need the experience and knowledge of a true professional and the guys at Nick’s exceeded my expectations. I always do my research and their pricing was beyond fair. They’ve gained a loyal customer and I will be sure to refer them to everyone I know. Thank you!

I had a screw in my tire and needed it patched immediately (as I'm a driver for work). The receptionist was friendly and able to get me in quickly. The lobby is spacious, clean, and inviting. They offer coffee while you wait. They were able to get me repaired and back on the road quickly and at a reasonable price. They also let me know the current state of my tires and hazards to be aware of. All around amazing experience!!

Mason, Brandon, Chavez, and the entire team down at Nicks have been great to work with. We originally brought our car here because it died on the side of the 5 and they are a AAA approved shop and AAA will leave the car after hours. The issue ended up being fuel problems, and it was a very complex issue. After the team made the repairs we ended up having some ongoing trouble but the guys stood beside their work and warranty and without complaint or pushback continued to work on the issue until it was completely resolved and only charged for the additional materials which I think is completely fair. Your take away from this might be "They couldn't even fix the issue" but life isn't that black and white especially when troubleshooting a complex issue. I now have a shop with a collaborative team of people who show integrity and resolve to do good work. 5 stars.
