1st time taking my car to John's after a friend from church recommended this place,and I was more than please! John is very helpful and kind, and his customers there told me that their cars have been well taken care of here for decades. Needed a serious fix on my car, and I'm grateful for how well they fixed it and took care of my care!
John and his son Johnny were great, Very helpful , knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable, they spot the problem quickly didn't try to sell me on other things gave me a couple options on how to go about the fix including they're recommendations, my car runs great and I have a good peace of mind, I definitely will be bringing my car back for any future repairs & the prices were very affordable. This was my 4th visit to John’s Automotive. They spent a good amount of time thoroughly checking out the codes on my Tahoe. Very helpful and very reasonable. I will keep bringing my vehicle back to them when needed. Both John and Johnnie are very nice, very professional, and very fair! 😊

The only shop I trust for my Challenger. Everything from an oil change or random sound, they are extremely reliable. John and his crew are honest and they always do a great job. I drive from South OC because they never disappoint.

Took my frontier here and they had it fixed the same day. Another place put the wrong filter in and threw off the MAF sensor. Replaced the filter and cleaned out the sensor and didn’t charge me till I drove it around for a week to make sure the check engine light didn’t come back on. Honest and trust worthy place. 100% recommend!

Our youngest son is 8 hours away and his car needed some repairs. There was one other shop that Google also suggested that claims to have been in business longer, but had far fewer reviews. After speaking with Johnny over the phone, I felt at ease. He scheduled my son in quickly for a free assessment, then called me and explained everything very clearly. They repaired the car soon after and charged us exactly what they quoted me. This is how people should treat each other when doing business. I have come here several times. They are always so friendly, kind and great at communicating with me about all the work, costs etc. They always follow up with me afterward and tend to make above/beyond recommendations about other things my vehicle may need (without pressuring me— just as a courtesy). I needed a welding job done at John’s for my trunk because the latch unattached from the metal it was originally on, and he got his son to look at it and his son fixed it by the next morning, everyone else I had called or contacted kept telling me I had to take it to the dealer or couldn’t repair it for me, I’m expecting and due in a week, I need my trunk to work for the stroller really glad they were able to repair it at John’s, also had to get new key fobs and get them programmed to the vehicle since my key fobs were both old (car is 2010 charger) and stopped working, he also got that done for me and my car was ready by 8am the next day. Very satisfied we it’s the work, time, and friendliness of the establishment he has there, I recommend trying him first before going anywhere else, family run business located in whittier if you live in the city 😊
