That has to be the quickest turnaround I've had in years; dropoff/repair and pickup. They quickly diagnosed the problem and took care of it. Offered a decent price too! AAA recommends this place for a reason.
Great group up there, and Doug is super personable and helpful. Definitely wouldn’t look any further. They were fast, resourceful, and upfront about prices and timing. They turned a horrible weekend into a better one and got my F-150 back on the road.

South St has been taking care of our old F-150 and Explorer for years and we wouldn't think of going to anyone else. Doug and his crew know their cars and have always quickly and expertly kept our vehicle in great shape from a.c. problems to transmission to periodic maintenance to smog-test fails to that dang "service engine soon" light coming on, no job to large or too small. Customer service is the best, friendly and personal, fairest prices, and just an all-around great place to trust with your cars.

I had overshot my 120,000 service requirements by 28,000 miles which by my own admission is not a good way to maintain a vehicle. So I got South Street Service Center involved after reading a stellar social media review, and had them replace plugs, coils, (major labor effort for my year/model van), brake fluid flush, coolant flush, transfer case service on my 2013 toyota sienna xle 3.5 awd. They did an awesome job, runs like new. It was a pleasure working with the owner Doug. The cost was in line with what I expected to pay and was cheaper than the dealer in Lancaster's estimate. Plus giving a small local auto repair firm my business was a bonus.
Great place to go, ran by the kindest crew! We broke down on the freeway between Bakersfield and Tehachapi, triple A towed us to this shop, they helped us right away, then they personally gave us a ride to rent a car. Had the car fixed in less than 24 hours, all while giving us a discounted price.

South street service center is one of the best auto service centers I have had the pleasure to work with. I was coming out of town from Sacramento and on my way back my 2007 Honda civic si Clutch master slave hydraulic failed. I took my car to them, they knew my situation. Had me up and headed out within 2 1/2. I appreciate them to the fullest, I recommend this company 100% AAA SERVICE !!!!!
Once again i went to South Street Service Center and the Service was Very thorough. They showed me the problem and explained it to me. They even found that the serpentine belt was worn out and at over 121,000 miles it was needed. Will go back to them. Doug and his men are very conscientious.
We broke down on Highway 58 eastbound, and Doug and his team were incredibly helpful. They were especially considerate knowing we were from out of town and on a tight timeline.
They kept us well informed about the status of the car throughout the process and were genuinely kind and easy to work with.

After several other garages kept my F-150 for weeks and could not track the drain on my battery...I called South Street and they fixed my truck right away, as they had the right equipment to find the problem. The price was very reasonable to my surprise and " Doug " was such a sweet guy and treated this 78 year old lady like family. Don't call anyone else, these people are the professionals that you need and will work with you in getting the job done so you can get back to your life.
We were on the road heading home to humboldt county from Arizona and near tehachapi the van started over heating. Two other shops were either overbooked or didn’t have enough technicians to help us out. South street service center was super helpful, even though they too were busy. Got us on the road within a couple hours and saved us money! A nice clean shop with a wood pellet stove.

Amazing shop and people! I highly recommend going here for any car issues, they did an excellent job and were very friendly. They managed to squeeze me in on short notice and lay things out very clearly.
We had an amazing experience with the absolutely phenomenal staff. THE Nightmare scenario car troubles left us stranded half way from home, half way to our vacation destination, and it really took the wind out of our sails. We waited nearly two hours for a tow in the hot sun, and were delivered with care to South Street Service Center. And thank God we were. The staff was immediately receptive to our troubles, doing everything they could to diagnose and work on our vehicle as soon as we walked in the door. They offered us food, asked us if we needed anything, and it was clear they had our safety and comfort in mind. It was decided that it wouldn't be safe for us to continue in our own vehicle, so the owner of the establishment drove us to a rental service, in fact he insisted on doing so, when we informed them we would be getting an Uber and returning for our luggage once we got our rental. They made accommodations for us to retrieve our vehicle on our strict schedule, and were immensely helpful. Maddie was personable and cheerful and made us feel right at home as we waited, encouraging us to have a positive attitude. I'm sad that we aren't locals because I would absolutely go to South Street for all of my vehicle's needs.
He woke up at 7 to finish our car definitely has a lot motivation and a very kind. Even drove us to our hotel when our car was broken down on our way back home. Definitely would recommend them if you ever are having car troubles!
Amazing service and staff! Our radiator broke on the way home from a long road trip. They quickly got us in, ordered parts and got us back on the road again. Doug went the extra mile the even drive us to and from our hotel.
One of the few AAA garages in the area. Doug and crew were fantastic replacing a Chevy transmission that went out. He was super cool in his interactions with us and is a very dedicated front office manager. Big kudos to SSSC and mechanics for getting us back on the road!

I had, and I went to other machine shops. They wouldn't even look at it, and they took the time to actually help me out. I have a motorcycle race. I needed the part picks immediately.And they dropped everything to help me out

My front brakes were bad and Doug made sure to fix them, even coming in Christmas Eve to help me out. Today, the back brakes were bad and they helped again. Prices were good both times. Service is perfect. Doug and Madison are amazing people and I highly recommend going to them for all your auto needs.
