Very Poor job installing the windshield on our motorhome. Windshield came loose on the freeway, and I thought it was going to fall out. We were lucky it stayed in place, had to take the motorhome to a shop here in Bakersfield that removed the glass and installed it the right way. The shop was very careful removing the glass without cracking it and installed it with correct amount of sealant/glue and used a primer on the glass so the sealant/glue wood stick to it. The glass was installed all the way in, not half ass like scotts auto body did it. It ended up costing us 1500.00 dollars to have it done the right way. scotts auto body should not try to do something when they don't know how.
They were able to order and install a new windshield for me within 2 days. They even offered the next day, but I was going out of town. Super quick, super nice people!! 10/10!
There are not a lot of places that can align big trucks, I have had my truck aligned multiple times by another shop, and they couldn’t get it right. Scott’s auto body was the fix!! Customer service was great, fast, and reliable.
They never returned my call, so I almost didn't use their services. I'm glad I did! They made it up to me by replacing my truck windows for faster and cheaper than they said it would be. I recommend this place of business.
Scott's Auto Body does good work and we've had body repairs done there in the past. However, they will insist on replacing any part that is a "safety item" such as a bumper or car door, regardless of how minor the damage is to that part of the car. A scratch on the bumper or the door and they will not repair it without replacing the whole unit, "because there could be hidden damage underneath". Feels like a way to artificially inflate the price of repairs, while always justifying it because "it's for safety reasons". Their prerogative, but tends to make out of pocket repairs way too expensive.
Good people, doing good work, for a pretty good price. Just had my second repair done here and everything came out great. Got a phone call for a minor price change due to parts availability, and while that feels a little sketch at first, it tells me that they're not artificially inflating the prices beforehand. They got a good rating and they've earned it.
Not happy with the clean up. I can’t tell if the body work or the paint is good until I find time to detail this myself. The over spray was mentioned to the shop but no change the scratch on the tail gate wasn’t there til the second time they took it it after messing it up the first time. The wheels went in clean and without water spots. The top was just half rubbed but still full of dirt so now that’s sctrached and water spotted. Over not happy and this is after taking it back once for already making a mistake.
I highly recommend scotts auto body. They are nice and generous especially Erin. I really love this shop. I bring my car here all the time. I use to have a different van that i brought in a few years ago and now i brought my new van in and they had it done within a week like they said, well technically
they were done before the week was up. This shop is really good and when they tell you when your car will be done they really mean it will be done with the timeframe they give you.
I took my F 150 for a front end Alignment,l had taken this truck to 2 different companies for front end alignment the First one said that’s the best they can do with out major repairs on front end. The steering wheel was crooked and pulled to the right bad. The second company would not align with out repairs. I called Scott’s body and wheel alignment, made an appointment they aligned the front end and the steering wheel was straight. They suggested to replace tires the truck drives like a new truck! Unfortunately my car was totaled, but from start to finish the staff here was amazing. They took their time to walk through every step with me. Highly recommend. There is a long wait, but if you can, it's worth it.
Came here before for a broken windshield so I came back when my girlfriend backed into my bumper on accident. Nothing too crazy at all just a tiny little scuff about 3 -4 inches but obviously I didn’t wanna go through insurance and pay the deductible or have my rates go
up. The car was absolutely perfect before so I’m a perfectionist and the little scuff bothered me.
Came here for a quote and they wanted to charge $1200! For an absolutely simple bumper respray! My deductible is 500 from my insurance so the fact that I wasn’t going through insurance and the price is nearly 3 times as high! Went down the street to Mountain auto body and they did it for 400 bucks so just keep in mind these guys are extremely overpriced. Just do your homework. I was blown away by that quote probably won’t be returning here lol. Just because you can over charge people doesn’t mean you should. Do better. This is a small town that’s a classic example of price gouging!
They quoted a price and the car had sensors that went off do to an accident, I had a new tire put on before dropping it off and all sensors went off, I let them know to take off the tire and sensors off the quote as I dropped it off and on the bill they changed tire, wheel and sensor and wouldn't release the car till the bill was paid in full. I would never recommend this shop. Dishonest.
Scott's always does amazing work for a great price and always delivers on time. I've used them for everything from auto detailing to tire balance and front end alignment. Most recently I came in with a pretty tedious task of painting all the grille components of my new RAM 1500. They gave me a very competitive price for all the work and squeezed me in that same week. The quality in the work and the products used here is unmatched. The paint was a tri-coat pearl and normally when painting pastics there's a chance the color doesn't match completely. Once I got the parts back on the truck and out in the sun they look identical to the rest of the truck. I will always recommend Scott's for all paint and repair services as well as alignments and other needs!
Estimate was handled very fast. My only issue is that the appointment to drop the vehicle off for repairs isn't for 5 plus weeks and having that car unusable for 2 months minimum is not what I would normally find acceptable service from a 1 star company, much less a 4 star rated establishment.
Fantastic place, if they give you a quote they stick to the quote even if they have to do extra labor. I went in to get a second opinion on something minor that I was quoted 600$ for elsewhere, they took a look and were able to confidently say that I didn't need that repair, and suggested a route that was several hundred dollars cheaper and didn't benefit them, for free. Great people.
They did great work on my car.
They don't offer a ride home and social distancing isn't an excuse because they don't mask up in the office.
The ride thing is important because this town does not have lyft or uber.
When I picked up my car the young man gave me attitude like he was doing me a favor or I was bothering him and I couldn't understand that because the other two people the office is so great.
This company did an amazing job on my truck they made it look better than when I got it off the lot! Great staff great work wouldn't take it to anyone else oh did I mention they came to Bakersfield to pick up my truck and drop it back off to me no other company would even offer with out asking for a fee thank you Scott's auto body .
Thanks to Scott's who referred us to Paul in SS for a detail on our dually. Paul is a kind and caring man and he did a super job for us. We very highly recommend him.
Couldn’t be more happy with the condition of my car. It came back to me looking as if it was never in an accident! Big thanks to Blane and Erin for always keeping me updated and in the loop! Great customer service friendly the lady at the front desk was amazing help me and my mom with the insurance company made sure we didnt pay out of pocket over all happy with my vehicle doors. Didnt look like it had an accident. Thank you very much.
Scott's auto body is excellent! The best! Friendly staff, they know their business, and they said four days and it was perfect! These guys are great. I have had my cars alligned there and they are fast and the business is run well. They have a waiting room, the place is clean and the girl in the office is very polite and so are the young men who work on the vehicles.
We've taken our 2001 Honda Civic to Scott's for any number of things and have always had AAA service. Today they replaced the windshield and the cost was $270.60, over $100 less than a competitor's price. They cleaned all the other windows in the car and it was ready as promised. We've always been pleased with the work we've had done and know that they guarantee their work so if there ever is a problem we just take it in and they'll take care of it.
Dropped my truck off for alignment and tire rotation. $140.00 later I now have a bad shaking in the steering wheel.
Returned to Scotts automotive and talked to the mechanic, explained the problem and what speeds the shaking starts. Mechanic asked if I could just drive it faster, I guess to avoid the shake! .
They put it up on the rack, gave the truck back and it was done. At last. And $15.00 in diesel later.
They did stand behind there work. I think they ahould have done a test drive.
