This place is a joke. The girl that came to audit didn't do her job when my father went out to question her instead she tells the garbage man to not pick up our trash being petty. I go find her and asked her why she did that and she tells me she tried to educate my dad when in fact she didn't. Some dumb lady calls telling me about the recycling rules but doesn't want to admit her employee could have handled the situation alot better. Had the nerve saying well how we treat each other as humans, man I went off on her at that point and told her to never call again. If you want people to follow your stupid rules than send out pamlets on educating them before you just don't pick up the trash. This company is a joke and should not be in business especially if you don't know how to conduct yourself.

I wish they could publish their lunch break hours with the media sites. Also they tend to break for too hot, too cold, and numerous other reasons. They close early etc. there's never even one minute of slack often. Instead the gate closes 10 to 20 minutes early I think I've made 10 or 20 trips over to this site to find the gates closed

Stupid rules , cans cannot be crushed, bottles have to show CRV on label to colllect. I’d rather go anywhere else and will be. Even though they are really close and convent. AVOID them!!!!

1st time here to drop off E waste. The 2 employees were very friendly and polite. Did all the lifting as I'm retired. El Dorado Disposal should be proud of them. Thanks again

I’ve been recycling here for several years now and the people that work there have always been really nice and helpful. Not so much at the other place in placerville. It gets a bit busy at times but have been faster lately. They do close for lunch from 12-12:30 so make sure to go in before or after that time. Great place to recycle!

This company makes doing business with them difficult. I am a contractor and do business all over California, Nevada, and Arizona. This business is by far the most difficult to deal with. They do not keep information on file to make future orders easier and faster. It is the only authorized dumpster company in the area so you are stuck using them. Certainly does make for a competitive environment or give them a reason to become more customer friendly. You are stuck with them. When scheduling a $75,000 project that was on a tight schedule they had no 40 yard dumpsters available. I scheduled the project a month in advance. I was told I could not find an outside dumpster company in the area. El Dorado Disposal is the only company allowed in the area. What a monopoly.

Fast recycling. Friendly employees. Was easy to replace recycle my electronics: keyboards and mouse.

Recycling center is as clean as possible, friendly Customer Service. 5 STARS for them. If maps didn't take a roundabout ways, bad routes, confusing turn here until you're on top of it. Visit would have tops. Certainly not El Dorado Disposal/Recycling Center fault! Google Maps get it together ASAP!! ZERO STARS FOR GOOGLE MAPS! Very Disappointed

Simple and quick back story: I’ve been going here for years and up until just recently my problems have been zero. Ive gone about 6 times a month and mostly recognized everyone who’s worked there. Average truck load cost me 20-$45. When it was $45, I felt I was paying more than usual. But it was fine and no reason to be upset because I found the staff polite. Fast forward to just recently and I’m probably going to greatly limit my visits to this place because it cost waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much now. 2 recent visits cost me a total of $234. I rented a 6ft/12ft U-Haul (U-Haul cost $40) because I didn’t want my back window, of my truck to possibly break from the couch hitting it. So I paid $40 (to U-Haul)and put the couch in the back of the U-Haul. I had 2 boxes in the back of my truck bed and the couch in the U-Haul. I’m thinking a couch and a couple boxes are a yard of waste. Always. I’ve done this long enough and sooo many times that I already know. But I was charged for four yards. I asked her why I was paying sooo dang much and she asked if I’d like her to remeasure. I accepted the offer and she replied with “yep, my measuring was correct.” It was the beginning of the day and I was the first customer. I’m still in awe of the $120 cost. I recently went a second time with a larger load, much larger and was charged less. Not much less but less. I’m steering friends away from going there now.

Don’t go here!!! This place should be named Real Munson Disposal. Their employees are extremely lazy and rude. I got turned away because a lazy employee said it looked like I had more than 100 lbs of material. Their supervisor told me that even if I only wanted to recycle a few cans, they by law have to take all of my materials. She even said they would take them off my truck. Sounds like stealing to me. I called the state and many other recycling places and they have no idea what these people are talking about. I think they are confused by the laws, they only have to take materials once they have been weighed. Not illegally confiscate your unweighed property out of your vehicle because you want to recycle a few cans. They could just weigh up to a 100 lbs and send you home with the rest of your property, but that would require them to work and maybe have an IQ above 80, I guess. I talked to several supervisors and it went from dumb to dumber, they sent me links with regulations that backed up my arguments that you have a right to recycle up to 100 lbs of aluminum, 100 lbs of plastic, and 1000 lbs of glass. I went down the street to Radius Recycling and they had no problem, I had less than 100 lbs. Weird weird stuff, go to Radius or anywhere else.

Extremely rude employees ,I was turned away from recycling my cans and plastic that took my family hours to separate and take all lids off , which the employees told us is a must to do or they won’t take them . After being completely prepared , we pull into the recycling center and the employee told us rudely he would not take them because we have to many cans . Which we did not have to many cans. DO NOT GO TO EL DORADO HILLS Disposal!

Rude and nasty attitude by the employees. They clearly hate their jobs and take it out on customers

Visited the recycle center in Cameron Park. Two employees working, one doing 85% of the work so things moved VERY slowly. With 6 people in line in front of me, I waiting about 1.5 hours

It seems that every time I go here they are closed early for a different reason. They ran out of money, computers were down, they can't throw something on a scale and weigh it without air condition, I understand how working in the extreme heat is grueling. I've cut trees down in 107 degree weather and worked under hot cars for years in these condition. Closing early never happened. So when my most recent trip over there ended at a closed gate only an hour and twenty minutes after they had opened, I wanted to have a word with them as I could clearly see the shack within the gated area was open. I whistled and hollered for a moment only have it fall on deaf ears. I then proceeded to contact them over the phone only to be informed by a waste management operator that they have no direct lines. What a joke. Perhaps they are trying to go under and in that case, they're doing a phenomenal job. I only wish I could give an accurate rating. I went above and beyond to receive services, made more trips than I care to mention, and still the recycling is in my garage. So with having received absolutely zero courtesy and no service, I think it's only fair that they receive zero stars.

Always a pleasant experience taking my cans, bottles, and glass recycling here. Workers are attentive and helpful. Simple as separating your materials in the cans, setting them to the side, and collecting cash. Four full bags of plastic and one of cans earned me $53 and some change. Nice getting some money back from what was charged in the CRV tax. For local reviews or travel content, you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist

Was really busy near closing time... The 2 ladies worked hard to keep the line moving. Awesome service. The only thing that bugged me was the man with the container of beer bottles was allowed to cut the line because he thought his time was more valuable than everyone else's. It was just another day in life with entitled selfish people who love to live life against the grain.

I arrived at 3:10 pm. I was turned away. They close at 3:30pm. Pretty lazy. I'll go somewhere else.

It was my first time here and they were super helpful and shared extra recycling knowledge. Kudos to these guys for still being kind at the end of their work day ☺️

The workers are always polite and if I have a question they answer and not act like I'm bothering them.

Waited 45 min and got turned away. Their lunch hour stated 12:00 but they stop at 11:30 so their lunch is not disturbed. Very rude lady called Christine Perez works at EL Dorado Hills branch. Find somewhere else to go

No stars from this guy.... complete waste of time, you’ll see, just rush and hurry to get there 40 minutes before the posted closing time just so you can get denied and turned away if the places aren’t closed already.....very unprofessional poor business ethics, this goes to say with their other facility in placerville, haven’t been to the el dorado hills facility but the three facilities are the same company Now another 20 minutes down the highway in Rancho on Folsom Blvd before Sunrise is a very professional place of great business and exceptional service, we’ll worth the extra 20 minutes of driving.... you’ll be thanking me TKO recycling center Open 8am 11493 Folsom Blvd close 4:30pm Rancho Cordova Had to give a star so I could submit this post

The hours on the website state that they are open until 4:00 this needs to be changed. Today I arrived at 3:48 I was the only customer, started to unload my glass after one of the employees told me what containers to put it in. I put my two different colors of glass right by the scale and started to unload my plastic, when this very rude woman comes out of the shed and tells me that they are closed . I look at my phone after loading my glass back into my truck and the time is 3:52.

Its the only one of the recycle centers around that keeps the scale turned away from the customer that does NOT tell you the weights as they come off . They arent friendly or personable like some but have never found them out and out rude they're probably just hot and tired from being on their feet all day with no ac. They work hard for the money so I do nt need friendly even though it's nice i just need the money

This is where I take my cans and bottles to recycle in CP. It's behind the shopping center building (drive around from the south east CVS corner in the shopping center or from Palmer drive behind BelAir). I usually get in at a good time right before a group of folks comes in or before a guy with a big load (luck). You might wait a little bit, but there are typically less customers. Folsom does seem to process folks faster, but it's a further drive and more customers. The attendants have never been rude or mean but are not necessarily outgoing and bubbly (what do you expect? They schlep stinky cans all day - give them a break!). The gal I worked with today was pleasant and thorough, even counting my some-odd plastic bottles. They accept e-waste and household batteries as well. Beware the lunch break. Hours are posted. I usually walk away with $8-$15 from gathering up all the family cans and bottles. Glad this is here.

Extremely slow service! Stood waiting for 45 minutes watching employees dance and joke around while a long line formed. Folsom and Placerville centers are much faster!
