Looking for a good honest mechanic shop, then go to Desert Dawg. I researched some prices before finding Desert Dawg to help fix my AC system on my Corvette. I was very pleased with the quotes and the final price and quality of work. Never tried to up-sell any work. Yann is going to be my go to mechanic from here on out. Friendly staff and overall great experience. Thank you Desert Dawg!

Fair pricing and attention to detail. While changing oil they found and, after consultation, repaired (legitimate - not made up) issues with the cooling system and AC.

Yann was great. I had multiple issues with an AMG that had been sitting for years. He provided exceptional service, way beyond my expectations. He is the most ethical and honest mechanic I have encountered.

Stopped in for a rear deck lid latch problem. Assumed I needed a new latch mechanism. Yann checked it out right away, made a couple adjustments and lubricated it and got it working, no charge! As I was pulling out I got a familiar set of dashboard "trouble lights". I pulled back in and explained that my Sequoia had been doing this since I bought it used and only happens when applying the brakes hard. Yann got his code reader; read the codes and began assessing under the hood around the brake booster. He found a vacuum line leak at a check valve. He got the $10 part from nearby, installed it and solved my 9 year pain in the butt! The guy is sharp and knows his stuff. Lucky to have him in Fountain Hills! 😃

Jeep JK RV tow car started classic Jeep oil cooler leak. We are staying at Eagles View RV and needed fixed fast. Ordered the cooler from Amazon, Desert Dawg quoted fair price and installed THE NEXT DAY. Could not be happier. Highly recommend.

Desert Dawg is hands-down the best auto shop my family and I have ever been to. They do fantastic work, are honest and extremely caring and attentive for your car. When our car had a problem recently with the differential, they were able to diagnose that the issue was human error caused by another shop several weeks prior. As a result, Desert Dawg took care of our vehicle, fixed the problem, and the repair cost was very reasonable. They've earned customers for life, and we couldn't be more pleased with their service. It is truly worth going out of your way to send your car to Desert Dawg. I can't believe our good fortune that they happen to be in our neck of the woods in the east valley. This guys were more then welcoming as well as willing to service my Jaguar who was giving me some technical issues. Had to come back a few times to really get the problem properly assessed which we were eventually able to configure. Family oriented and honest as well as incredibly understanding which is so hard to come by these days. They made time for me even last minute and got me in right away which really says alot about a company. So appreciative

If you are looking for a reliable, reputable, honest, fair priced and caring repair shop look no further. Desert dawg is all these and also an expert at finding your vehicles problem and fixing it. I recently had a problem with my vehicle while I was in the Flagstaff area. Not being able to drive it back to fountain hills I took it to a shop in Flagstaff. They had good reviews yet to make a long story short , my vehicle was in the shop over a week had two diagnostics done (charged $160 each) and over $3500 bill and when I picked up the vehicle and started driving it on I17 it had the same problem! I took it back to that shop and they ran another diagnostic and charged me for it telling me about another problem needing both catalytic converters replaced and this would cost another $5500. At that point I had my car transported to Dessert Dawg. Jann at Desert Dawg the owner diagnosed the problem said only one catalytic converter was bad and that was not what’s causing the problem I have. He found the problem was a bad oil pump, this was never found by the shop in Flagstaff. Jann at desert dawg said I looked at your invoices from Flagstaff and Jann says he was upset because frankly they charged me for things that didn’t need repairing. He said he also looked at the reviews of this shop and said although they had good reviews if you read them closely, which he did, on the reviews about actual work done it was about 50/50 good and bad. What other repair shops would take the time to do this??? I have taken my vehicle to Desert Dawg only five times it’s not like I’m a lifetime customer. This totally impressed me! Do yourself a favor if your vehicle needs repair or just excellent maintenance take it to Desert Dawg.

Probably one of the last honest shops out there! Has worked on multiple vehicles for me, from my Ford Escape Hybrid to my Dodge Charger. Always willing to explain what's going on, what is needed now, and what can wait. Easy to work with, priced fairly, and the owner has a great sense of humor.

I’ve been here over the years with multiple vehicles. They’ve always done everything quickly and honestly. It’s always a fair price, really less than expected every time. They’ll continue getting my business. Make sure to say hi to the Great Dane when you’re in there.

Just had a relatively simple headlight replacement bulb installed here at Desert Dog. Called Vans Chevrolet & Greluichs among other and the labor charge was for time higher than Desert Dog. Yann the owner is very friendly and accommodating. He is a Mechanical Engineer by trade. I have found my go to Auto repair facility that is DESERT DOG. I would highly recommend these folks they are great!!!!!

Love this place! I can bring my German cars in here and know that everything will be handled brilliantly. They do a really good job of helping customers understand the nature of any problem. Sometimes there is no avoiding the high price of German replacement parts, but, these guys always find a way to save money.

It simply doesn't get any better than Yann and his wife. He's a true car Ninja. We had an on-going brake issue on a Mazda CX-5. Another shop couldn't fix it with 3 tries and the Mazda dealer couldn't fix it. Yann got it, fixed it, and then wouldn't charge us for almost a month until we were sure it was fixed. He's done work on the Mazda CX-5, a Nissan 300ZX, a Mazda Miata, and a Jeep Wrangler for us. I will not - ever - go to another mechanic.

They're always great. They outline what needs to be done now and what can wait till the next tune up or 3k miles. They've been working on my 94 Camry wagon, my classic car as a millennial professional, since I got it in 2012. This shop under Jann and Al the previous owner of Desert Dawg have kept it in great shape. They also took care of my wife's car, an 06 Accord, as well for a few years until I sold it. Last year, I just bought a newer Mazda CX5 and will be using them for all maintenance outside of warranty repairs as they are far more competent and honest than the dealers. Now if only I could get a paint job on that Camry as it doesn't look as good as it used to. 😂😉 Jann, please let me know if you know anyone who does a good job at a reasonable price. And I hope you get a finder's fee. Thanks so much for all your help all these years. Glad you guys are in town here. I won't consider anyone else to work on my cars.

Fixed a very poorly installed interlock device, had to redo all the wiring and take out my dash. Fixed the problems completely and within two days (considering the scope of the issue a miracle). On top of that they charged the company because of the shoddy installation. Yann is a great guy and this is a great establishment. 10/10 experience.

Hands down the best mechanic in FH. I take that back....BEST IN ARIZONA! Professional, thorough, plus just an all-around nice guy. I can not recommend him and his staff enough! When I do have car issues, I no longer stress knowing that I have a great place like Desert Dawg to take it to. Keep up the great work Yan. You're my superhero mechanic!

I have taken my autos to Yann and the Desert Dawg team for a year or so and continue to be impressed with their trustworthy and thorough approach to repairing autos at a fair price. Recently, Yann worked through a difficult situation on a bad water pump that was just outside its warranty period. He worked with the installer and supplier and was able to secure a cash credit to be applied to our repair bill plus was very reasonable on his labor charges to replace the water pump. Most other repair shops would not have gone to this level of effort to help save a customer money, but Yann did this without hesitation. Yann and Desert Dawg Team - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

These guys are amazing. Our diesel truck was having issues and they spent a day and a half figuring it out. It was throwing confusing errors so it took quite a bit of trial and error to figure out the problem.They worked extra time to get us back on the road and I super appreciate their hard work, honesty and reasonable price and communication.

Yann is awesome. He takes care of everything on you late model or even classic. Highly recommend!

They went over and beyond to repair my car as there were some extenuating circumstances with a special part that required extra attention. I am from out of town and had a friend refer me to them. I am so glad she did. I feel they are very honest and trustworthy. I will bring my car back should it require any other repairs.

I've been going to Desert Dawg Auto Repair for about 10 years now and I can confidently say that the new owner is keeping the business running great! I came to the new owner with a pretty tough project and he exceeded expectations and made my car as good as new. I am VERY confident in the new management overall and would highly recommend this shop!

I am taking my time to write my third review ever of a business because this shop is just that good. I could go on and on. Reviews are important to those who like to make informed decisions, like myself. Simply put, if you want honest, informative, quality service on your vehicle, then you make an appointment here. I have been going to desert dog for 11 years now, and I would highly recommend them to anyone! The staff is highly trustworthy and all my vehicles that were worked on have never failed....great pricing! They don't try and gouge you nor do they try and sell you unneeded parts to try and make a buck. 3 things they have that most buisness don't have....Honesty! Integrity! And Customer Service!

I own a historic vehicle and not only were they caring and diligent in finishing my repairs quickly, but Al and his crew knew my car inside and out. They were even able to adjust my quadrojet carburetor within in minutes. I've come here for all my repairs since my first, and plan to for my last.
