No idea if this place is even in business. I went there three times during the business hours they have posted on their door. All three times, there was no one there and the lights were off.
I walked around, knocked, honked, and genuinely tried to find someone. Again during the hours THEY have posted on the door.
All told I wasted about 2 hours of my time between the three separate trips.
Chris is an amazing person just like his father down to earth a pleasure to talk to and friendly as can be even though I couldn't find the Lincoln Mark III parts I was looking for it was fun just to go out and talk with him!
Great place! Local junk yard, auto seller. Has nice prices for car parts! He has a lot of space and has almost anything you are looking for! He is a reasonable, not expensive and close to home. We have gone 2 times now. Will continue to go back!! Thank you so much!!!
This place is the definition of a rough and gruff old junkyard. It's an adventure going through the place. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of older cars, not much of anything new. Make sure to wear waterproof boots!
Very friendly and helpful, knowledgeable as well. It was a bit busy when I went but the wait wasn't very long and Doug still managed to get to everyone's needs without rushing things. Unfortunately they didn't have the part I needed, but I was given a few places that may have it which is going to make my search much easier. I was also not treated as if I didn't belong there, which I do tend to get quite often at Auto parts shops (etc) which was awesome. Keep up the excellent work Jack's Auto, I know I'll definitely be back for hard to find automotive parts!
Been going to this yard for years and have always had a good experience here. The guy who's usually behind the counter (if he's not out in the yard) is very knowledgeable on a very wide range of vehicles, along with the inventory at the junkyard. If you go there looking for one specific thing he'll give you a straightforward answer of either that they don't have that or if they do have it where you'll find it and/or a price. Just like any other business if you don't follow their rules like no entering the yard without getting permission for example. Yes, they may have an issue with that which is probably where some people with the reviews have gotten their negative experiences from. Have always followed the simple rules they have in place and have never had any issue with them. Lots of good parts and fair prices. Repeat customer.
Great place.l had alot of fun with my grandson. People were very accommodating. Would definitely go back. Pick the right time of year. Dress appropriately. Bring your own tools.
Very overgrown with brush and weeds. Hard to get at parts cars. Do not go there in the spring after the thaw. Very very swamp covered in most of the yard. Lots of mosquitoes.
I discovered Jack’s Auto Ranch last summer when no one else had the part I needed. Doug also helped me out recently by finding a reasonably priced engine to put in an old Buick, that I otherwise would have ‘junked’.
Then, Doug helped me even more by finding someone trustworthy and reasonably-priced to install that engine. In fact, I am amazed at the number of experienced people who work in all aspects of vehicle repair, maintenance and body work that Doug knows or has known sometimes for decades.
For someone like me who does not have the skills to work on his own, old cars, Doug has saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars, so I cannot over emphasize what a valuable asset he has been for me.

These are junkyard guys -- little rough around the edges, maybe a little quirky. So if you think this is going to be some sort of Amazon customer service experience except with old car parts, you're in for a big effing surprise, lol. Once you're in with these guys, however, they treat you like gold. And the parts themselves .... well, let's just say you're not going to find the breadth and depth of 40s-70s cars anywhere else in the midwest to my knowledge. Be a good guy, treat 'em right, and they'll give it right back to you.
The best salvage yard ever! They had every obscure part I needed and parts I wasn't even planning on buying. There are tons of vehicles with tons of great parts for classic car restoration. I could spend hours there.
Doug was very knowledgeable. Knew right where the car was that I needed a part from, and even knew the part was on the car! And they have thousand of cars! Lots from the '30's to the '70's and newer. It was a little muddy, but that was to be expected. Definitely will go back when I need more parts!
I love going to jacks I go here anytime I need a part it's always cheap they are understanding and cooperative last week I went in with my car thinking to junk it because the tranny was bad and when I got it checked out it was gonna cost $1000-$1600 jack said they would put in a good rebuilt transmission for $500. I like jacks and suggest u stop in they can be funny don't think there trying to be rude.
Very very rude staff. Was told it would take 2 weeks for plates and a title on a car we purchased from them. After a month later, called them several times to inquire about where the plates and title were, very rude said they did everything on their part n any info I needed I wld need to call the DMV. More time went on, went back and forth with the DMV and jacks and it all boiled down to jack not completing the paper work properly for the DMV, after he told me numerous times they had done everything even stating in one conversation that he spoke to the DMV directly and was told they were behind In the process time and I needed to continue to wait. Only reason the issue was resolved was because of an awesome woman at the DMV who called jack directly to tell him what he needed to complete on his end. She took a half hour out of her time to walk him through the whole process.... Amazes me that he lied about the DMV being backed up, the rudeness of him and his staff the multiple times I spoke to them and the fact he even hung up on me a few times. This man will really test ur patience and the respect u have for ur elders. If not for his age I would have definitely shared some choice words.... Also, after 3 weeks of having the vehicle the check engine light came on and actually died at the gas station. Called mechanic, he came and jumped me, said I needed a new side post battery. Called jack to see if he had a battery there that could b discounted since I had just purchased the vehicle and had it 3 weeks at that time, clearly there was nothing I could have done to the battery I n 3 wks to make it just go bad all of the sudden. Again extremely rude, would not work with me and hung up on me, mind u I was very respectful the entire time. $123.00 at auto zone, 126 at O'Reillys, got a quote of 52 at Walmart and opted for the cheapest so went to Walmart where in the changing of the battery process, they screwed up the gas gauge.... How That happened I have no clue, currently in battle with Walmart but whole situation could of been avoided if jack was a decent businesses man... I was referred by family, he was great until he got my money n then turned total jack ass... Only good thing was the price of the vehicle. Do not go to jack if u want a good decent business man, go there for cheap parts and that is it. For warning you though, u do need to be able to hold ur piece of mind and mouth unless u don't care about disrespecting ur elders, in that case, go ham because he deserves it!!!!
Unhelpful bitter old man. You pull up and are immediately met by a sign stating that kids are not welcome among other absurdities. Went in to talk to the old man, told him I was there to look for a car for my 13 year old daughter, I knew they would be in rough shape, asked if I could look around to see what he had. All he says is that they just sold a 2001 car for $1000. If I had wanted some crappy 2001 car, I would go to auto trader. Basically unhelpful, non-repsonsive and could not be more unfriendly, been sitting out there for too long, needs to retire, wife probably won't let him though as she would have to put up him all day
