Spoke with the lady about a dumpster rental stating as it was a multistep process I could likely need additional time which I was willing to pay for. I was told as long as I call before the pickup date that was fine. I called the day before pickup asking how much it would be to do a swap as most companies reduce the second bin due to consolidating a trip charge for two deliveries and two pickups. Was told there would be no discount on second dumpster, okay, fine. I’d like to go ahead and do the $75 extension we discussed over the phone. Nope can’t do that, it’s booked. Weird, you told me I could call anytime before the pickup to extend it. I’ll see what I can do to make it happen. Okay, we will extend it but you need to have the check here by end of business day. It’s 4 pm… just come pickup up the dumpster tomorrow, I’ll take my business elsewhere. Click. I hope they have a recording of the initial conversation so these people can stop going back on their words as I’ve seen mentioned by several other reviewers. Their customer service skills are exactly like their business model- trash.
We ordered a 30-yard dumpster to empty our house. The woman on the phone was very helpful and explained all the details to me up front and gave us a delivery window for later that same afternoon.
The driver showed up 30 minutes early and put down 2 by 12 to protect the driveway which I really appreciated. He went over the details, including the do's and don't and safety regarding the hinge and closure side of the door.
I confirmed the one week pick up date and they picked it up without incident.
I have recommended them highly to two other local friends.
I can't speak to the recycling aspect, but I do know prices fluctuate like any market so do your homework and that regard.
Ordered a dumpster through them and had a great experience! Delivered the very next day. I filled the 20yd dumpster early and called in for a pickup. They even picked it up the same day I called! Very pleased with their service. Very professional and I will use again!
These guys are awesome, the single lane could make it slow. Being the only place in town though you can complain, but that makes you the acehole. Place the is mint 10/10
I have dealt with American Disposal a lot in the past and have gone out of my way to use a local company. I have never met a more rude owner who doesn't care about taking care of their customers and not at all willing to work with customers to come up with viable solutions. I suggested my father use them for cleaning out his estate and was met by the same unprofessional service as in the past. I would recommend waste management or eagle disposal for your rolloff needs.
After 10+ years of patronage to this facility today marks no more. After a miscommunication about material price the owner screamed through the phone at my wife and I. Though our area has few recycling centers the the drive to waukesha instead is well worth it for civil customer service.
American disposal is the most price reasonable disposal company that delivers its dumpsters on time They have been great at placing the dumpsters where they are needed and have a polite and courteous crew. Will use them again in the future.
When we need a dumpster at a job site, they are on time, friendly and fantastic to do business with. We have been using American Disposal-Watertown for over 22 years and it's always a pleasure to do business with them.
We needed to rent a concrete dumpster followed by a 30-yard dumpster when doing several large house projects (complete tear-off and replacement of roof, trenching the basement floor to replace a sewer line, overhauling our hvac and gutting our finished basement). Rita was SO helpful and informative when I called, and talked me through the various options and helped me figure out what made the most sense for us. Due to the various overlapping projects, we needed to swap out the dumpsters with very little notice, and Rita and the driver (I believe his name was Chris) who delivered the dumpster went way above and beyond to accommodate our timeline. The driver was also very courteous and worked with us to make sure that the dumpster placement was acceptable to us - we have a pretty small driveway with very large trees growing on either side, and power lines running across the end of the driveway, which made the placement a little more challenging. He spent some extra time figuring out how to give our work crews the most space while getting the dumpsters delivered safely, and was friendly, professional, and courteous.
Great family owned company. Been using their services for many years. Fast professional and always on time. Do a what a lot of other companies won’t do and actually try to keep things out of the landfill with such services as recycling shingles and what not. Friendly, courteous staff at the shop as well.
My roofing company has been using American disposal almost exclusively for over 15 years and they are by far the best! You will not find a better company they are incredibly carful, polite and professional. Other companies I have used are extremely subpar when you compare.
Probably the rudest I have ever been talked to. Didnt even finish my sentence of what the job was. Said it was near Watertown, she asked where, I said it is Clyman, she got rude and said I thought you said Watertown then told me they wont take the job and hung up on me. Called back because I thought it was a joke and the guy hung up on me. 23 years in construction have never encountered anything like that in my life. In Reply to your comment, I am Ryan Jones from Fond du Lac, and I own Knockout Building Restoration and Knockout Exteriors, you are clearly referring to someone else as we have never done business. When I asked for a 20yd, you said, we dont do that, so then i asked for a 30yd in which you got rude. At no point was I nothing but professional. The job I am doing is 8.8 miles from your location, the only thing acceptable from you would be an apology for attitude and mistaken identity!
I have been dealing with these people as a contractor for about 20 years or more. They have always given great service. I recommend them over any other services for dumpsters or scrap.The owners and their workers are great professional friendly people.
I rented a dumpster. Not only did they have the best price, they have the best people! From the very friendly and informative lady who answers the phone to each of the 2 truck drivers. They were courteous, patient and very respectful of me and my property. I used a different company a few years ago and did not have the same experience. I highly recommend American Disposal!
Super unprofessional and disappointing. I called and reserved a dumpster and told the lady on the phone I couldn't be there for drop off. She told me that was fine but I need to drop off a check. She told me I could drop off the check in their mailbox. I left the check in the mailbox the night before dropoff. They never dropped off the dumpster. I called and asked where the dumpster was and they said they weren't bringing because I didnt pay. This time it was a guy on the phone I told him I left it in the mailbox as instructed. He proceded to tell me no one would tell me to do that. They refused to reschedule a dumpster and laughed at me
Update*** forgot I had a bad experience with them and called them for a quote for a dumpster. Now remind you this is at least one year latter if not more. The lady asked if it was me by name and said they wont do business with me due to the fact I left a bad review. Awsome customer service.
They treated me very well, answered all my questions and were very prompt and professional. The driver who delivered the dumpster went out of his way to cause as little damage to my property as possible. ( I requested he drive through an inconveniently placed flower bed to place the dumpster where I wanted, he was more concerned than I was :) )

Would give them a five star for courtesy, but I would give them a zero for the price they paid me. My fault for not asking ahead and trusting them, because a friend referred me there. Called my usual yard when I got home, because I was sure they paid me to little. They paid me @ 30% less than I should've received. Will never take scrap there again. They probably cheated me on weight also, but I can't prove it, no documentation provided by them. Hope the owner replies. Call ahead, but probably, just go elsewhere.

Fast, efficient! Great customer service. Courteous, friendly, hardworking associates. They have earned a repeat customer. They take a lot of assorted metal. Even washers and dryers. They pay cash on the spot and even give you a candy at the end. ? ?
Honestly, we tore down an old tin shed and didn't know what to do with it. We would have paid them to take it. The fact that we walked away with a little bit of cash made our day.
Have done business with them for over 10 yrs. Will NEVER again after today. Took in four 20", 17" and 16" aluminum rims , four 18" steel rims with two steel rotors and their dumpster full of raw steel. I was giving a whole $110.50. Wish I would of gotten a tube of Vaseline for the screwing they gave me today. I would recommend taking your recycling somewhere fair, i was shocked at the rip off. Never again.
Very courteous. I had to find somewhere to take some junk metal and they did! They even gave me $2.50 and a piece of candy. I spent it at Kwik Trip on hotdogs and soda.
