First time coming here. After going to places in Waukesha for years the pay out here is a let down to say the least. $0.25 a pound for can is crazy low(places in Waukesha pay $0.50-$0.75 a pound). This the place you go to get rid of stuff without the expectation of getting a good pay out.
I have come by for metal recycling twice now. I'm pretty clueless to it all and Al has made each visit such an awesome and educational experience. Thank you Al and to the entire Lueck team for what you do!
The payouts may not be great if your some commercial guy making your living off scrap, but if your just a regular person trying to get rid of some scrap stuff in Watertown, it's way better than than taking it to the city drop-off. The city will make you pay (a lot) to drop it, then they turn around and sell it to scrappers. Lueck has decent hours, is very quick and easy (if not backed up) to drop off, and you get some cash (and complementary root beer barrels).
Last time I recycled cans recycled in Waukesha payed three times as much as at Luecks. But the last time I did recycle at Luecks I will say the guys were nice and helpful
If you don't care about getting money for your scrap this is just the place to go. They make it easy for you to sort your scrap but they absolutely screw you over on the price. They won't tell you any prices and give you no receipt. I'm in the scraping business so I know the prices and they just screw you over so bad
