The starter in my wife's Honda gave up the ghost, and the prices for a reman unit at the auto parts stores was ridiculous and close to $300! I've had so many bad experiences with these cheaply remanufactured, mass produced starters and alternators off the shelf and I didn't want to take a risk buying one online and having to send it back if it was a dud so I decided to buy a used one from a local salvage yard and have it professionally rebuilt at GB Rebuilders. It works like a charm and fired right to life! Royce had it rebuilt in literally 10 minutes and it cost less and will probably last longer than any of the crap that was rebuilt in Bangledash with questionable quality.

I first used this company over 10 yrs ago to rebuild my starter. That thing outlasted my vehicle! Anytime someone is know has issues with something I start raving about this business telling them to come here. Pricing is fair. Theyre honest, fair and down to earth people. I know when they work on something for me its likely going to outlast the vehicle. They've educated me on alot of things. It was a super quick turn around when needed. Even tho I no longer live in gb I will still travel hours to use them. NOONE else will do. I can't say enough good about this business or the ppl.

If you're having alternator or starter problems (and are able to free the part from your car) DON'T BRING IT TO A BIG BOX PARTS STORE FOR TESTING, bring it HERE first! They brought my old and sad alternator back to life in less time than it took me to get it out of my Equinox, and for a fraction of the price of a replacement.

Ok these Guys are Amazing! I’ve had them do two starters and a few alternators. Quick, Great Price and very informative. They let you know what needs to be done and take pride in what they do! Talking Old School service from start to finish. I’ve called after the reinstall and they help me figure a problem which wasn’t part of the excellent rebuild they did. Keep in mind, I was scratching my head for hours as I didn’t have a wiring diagram for this replacement and within minutes, Joe had it wired up and wasn’t even going to charge me. This was my first experience with this company and I may never need their assistance again, but I was extremely impressed and pleased! Thank you and my ole Elmira wood stove will live on for another 40 years!
Went in for a new battery. Staff was very helpful and efficient. They installed my new battery in an extremely short amount of time. They suggested a better product once they saw my vehicle and price was very reasonable! I would strongly recommend if in need of a battery or other services they offer.

Great place to get starters, alternators and batteries. Most times they can rebuild your starter or alternator while you wait. Plus they have a nice collection of vintage lawnmowers in there lobby.
I bought a high output alternator for my suv. After installing it, my voltage at idle was low (close to 12 volts). I contacted GB Rebuilders and Royce asked me to bring the alternator in for testing, just to make sure everything was ok with the alternator and to rule out a problem with my truck. He hooked it up to his machine and ran several tests with it which only took a few minutes. He determined that everything was fine with it and suggested that a smaller pulley be used to increase rpm's on the alternator (they originally put an OEM-sized pulley on it). He found a good pulley to use by crunching some basic numbers, installed the pulley for me on the alternator, and then all was well. This place was willing to work with me, showed me the tests, and didn't charge me anything for their time and the new pulley. Now my alternator is working great. I'm very happy I chose this place for my alternator needs. I highly recommend them.
Royce is awesome to deal with. He goes out of his way to get my customers taken care of. I will not deal with anyone else when it comes to high output alternators. These guys Rock!
Royce checked out my marine alternator upon arrival, determined it was functioning, then proceeded to provide detailed assistance on possible external wiring problems to trouble shoot, then provided follow-up suggestions when initial steps failed to resolve, resulting in ultimately finding the problem. A top notch experience, I cannot recommend more strongly!
I was very impressed with the service that I received; On 6-15-2016 I went to G.B. Rebuilders at around 3:00 and brought a starter for my Ford F150. Royce took it and checked it, it didn't spin. He took the end cap off and said here's your problem, 1 brush was touching and 1 wasn't. went through my starter and rebuilt it, checked it and I was out their door at 3:30 - with a starter I know was good.
