This was the only place that would come get my car that was stuck in a driveway. They even made sure my car wasn’t going to get stuck on the steep hill.
Was starting to drive on a pretty steep hill while the roads started to freeze over. My car ended up sliding and getting stuck. Shane came through and helped me get it unstuck. They had reasonable prices, and quick and efficient service. Would definitely recommend them again!
Today was a ruff day as my significant other had his vehicle break down in the middle of traffic. As he was trying to get it out of the road. Shane from Pifer's came to the rescue, he was driving through the area and was super helpful to pull the vehicle out of the roadway for us. Thank you so much for your kindness in our time of need.
A propane tank rolled into my lane before I could swerve around it on New Years Day… I’m from out of town, so I called the closest tow place - Pifer’s. Our driver, Shane, arrived before the police did & was beyond helpful. Not only was it quick & easy, but he stayed & let us warm up with heat & good jokes in his truck until our friend arrived to get us. The best towing experience I’ve ever had & I will recommend them to anyone stuck in the Parkersburg area!
Came and got me in under an hour, not a terribly expensive tow. Clean tow truck and the guy that got me knew what he was doing and was very personable. No one wants to get their truck towed but wasn’t a bad experience
We were on our way to the Amish country in Ohio and had a flat tire at mile marker 150 around 7:00 pm. Justin was the young man that came to our aide. He was very understanding as far as two older people go. He was so considerate to help us to get into his tow truck, and it was no easy feat. He towed us to the place of business and they had a tire that we needed, and changed the tire for us. He went out of his way to help us out of the tow truck and we were on our way. We can't thank him enough.
They were the only local towing company that answered their phone at 6:15am.
They were able to get a truck to me fairly quickly despite it being so early.
The driver was friendly and the whole experience was good.
I will call them again next time I need a tow.
After a long day of work and a long baseball game, found that I locked my keys in the trunk. Called Pifers and they sent Shane out to help us out. Quick, quality service! Thank you.

Shane and Jeff saved the day for my son. Navigation erroneously took my son onto a road that was meant for only ATVs and he got stuck in a very bad spot with huge rocks and a pit of mud. No other towing company in the area would take the job, but Shane at Pifer’s did. They had to use Jeff’s personal buggy to pull my son’s vehicle out and it was not an easy job. Both of them were very friendly and professional, and went above and beyond. They even drove my son home afterwards
and took his car to the shop to get fixed the next day. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Shane and Jeff.
Helped us out when our air tanks froze up, towed it to their shop, thawed the unit, took our driver to hotel and gave him a ride back. Sent pictures throughout the ordeal to keep us in the loop. Thank you for your help. Fair prices, great service.
Driver Shane Scritchfield was an absolute angel to help me this morning when my late husband’s truck wouldn’t start due to cold weather and a dead battery. I would like to give a big shout out to Shane and Aiden from Pifer’s towing, my son’s truck broke down in the middle of pike street today, while sitting there trying to phone a friend Shane and Aiden stopped and offered to help us get his truck out of thr road way. They didn’t have to help us has my son and I didn’t have the full amount for the tow but they were willing to tow the truck for free!! There truly are still some good people left in this world. Thank you again Shane and Aiden, my son and I truly appreciate your kindness today and getting us of the busy street.
We can’t recommend Pifers enough! No other company in the area would even attempt to help us, but Aiden and Shane came through! They arrived quickly, and within 10 minutes, they had us back on the road.

The rude lady with blonde hair who works the counter tried to overcharge me by $250. I had reasearched towing laws. She got nasty. She was also angry because she didn't get away with it. This place needs to be investigated by the state.
We’ve used Pifers many times, always had an excellent experience. Today our guy was Shane, he was great. Even offered to drop my granddaughter at her school on the way home. Absolutely recommend. I also have a service dog, and he was great with her too. He’s very friendly.

Pifer's website mentions "stress-reducing towing services" — and that is 100% accurate! That's exactly the kind of service we received Friday night, when we were suddenly stranded on the side of the highway with some sort of transmission issue, over 2 hours from home. I told our fantastic tow driver, Shane, that he took an incredibly stressful situation and turned it into the best possible experience under the circumstances. He was prompt, professional, efficient, gave recommendations for repair services in the area, and on top of that, put us completely at ease and made the time fly by with his easy-going manner and fantastic sense of humor! Thank you to Shane and Pifer's for a better experience than we could have hoped for!
So here we were, driving down route 50 between Athens and Parkersburg, 2 hours away from home at 8:30 in the evening when our transmission died. A quick call later, and lo and behold an angel by the name of Shane appeared to save the day. The three of us jumped in his cab and he had us in stitches the whole drive to the repair place. Got a flat tire headed to Florida for a family vacation. We were on the side of the road with a rental car with no spare. Insurance road side was going to take 60-80 minutes and then called back and said they couldn’t tow us because they didn’t have enough room for all 5 of us to ride. Mineral Well Tire Center referred us to call Pifer’s and he was there within 15 minutes, brought an extra truck so all 5 of us could fit and towed us to Mineral Well Tire Center. Great customer service! Appreciated the timely quick response! Highly recommend!
My tow truck driver was amazing, he asked several times if there was anything else he could do for me. He made a bad situation so much better. I'll definitely call Pifers in the future if I ever happen to need help again. Very professional.
Broke down in the middle of the night on our way to our beach vacation. They came to our rescue with a car full of people. Towed us back to their facility, let us hang out till we could get a rental, and kept our car to fix while we went to the beach. Very friendly professional crew. Very affordable. The guys at Pifer's towing saved the day for Blake Logistics! Not only was it past operating hours, they came to the rescue without hesitation. I was on the side of the so called 'burm', on a bend, at night, and in the rain. It was scary and without the help of Pifer's towing and their ingenuity, I'm sure there would have been a wreck of some sort. They got me off the highway quickly and safely. Very quickly fixed the broken axle on the trailer which allowed us to keep our time commitment on the load that we had at the time. These guys treat you like family here. HIGHLY recommended.
