Well what I'm about to say about Ed and his band of dummies is 100% true, well on June 6 2025 I had my truck a 2006 Chevy suburban 4x4 there for the transmission to be done And what this dude doesn't know is that I'm also mechanic that's licensed it's just that when I moved here I wasn't doing as much as I was while I was in Philly but anyway he 1st told me a price of $1000 and I was like cool and I provided the parts, the I received a call from Ed the dummy and he says that my breaks had to be replaced along with the lines and I'm like ok so he then tells me upon picking up the truck that he has to replace more and I said how much is the bill now he said the total bill is $1,500 and I already gave him $800 so that leaves me with a bill of $700 so I payed it and just a little over a month and I'm on my way to Philadelphia PA so that I can have my people look at it but that didn't happen because I only made it to flatwoods WV and ended up having my truck towed back to Charleston WV and that cost me $625 and then I took it back to him telling him what happened and that the transmission didn't have any fluid in it and he had it for 2 days then calls me a says that the seals in the transmission went bad and that the transmission was only $300 you paid for but i told him no matter what I drove the truck that it came out of and it wasn't leaking then so he had nothing to say and I definitely wouldn't never tell anyone to go there because he's a scammer
First time using their services, towing and mechanical services. Ed, was extremely nice, kept me informed throughout towing, findings in engine and repairs , & completed work. I will absolutely be visiting this garage in the future. Thank you
So, everything I am about to say is %100 the truth. I have had 2 of my cars worked on here. Everything was great. I call Ed an ask him if he minds doing a diagnostic on my 2005 Mazda 6. I jus couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and he has worked on both my cars before. I ask if he can do the diagnostic for free. An once I know an estimate of what I need to have it repaired, I'll come to him an have it done. He says yes bring it down. I reiterate that I won't be able to pay him so plz don't do any work an if the diagnostic is gna cost tell me now I'll take it somewhere that will do it for free. He says he does not mind doing it for free. Bring it in. So I take it in. 2 days later, he calls and tells me I can come get my car. I get there he proceeds to tell me that he has changed the battery, the battery terminal, an the alternator. His reason for doing it without calling an verifying the work wit me first was because he couldn't figured out what was wrong with it without fixing it. $662 is what he says I owe for the repairs. Now a battery for the 2005 Mazda is like at most $50-$70, he charged me like $170. The alternator is no more than $80, he charged me $200. Then labor. I told him before I dropped the car off, I don't have no money to pay you plz don't put a bill on me. To lose my car. Now he is threatening to put a mechanic lien on it an file for a lost title. An idk what to do. But my girl drives it to work, she works for a nonprofit in Charleston. And when I told him that, he said I can't help you, an was bragging about all the other people he has did this to. All because he is a stand up citizen. But this is for sure not right or fair. So be careful. He is mos definitely not a stand up citizen or pillar of his community. They are preying on people in tight situations.

Only giving this “shop” one star because zero wasn’t an option. I truly can’t put into words how disgusted I am with the negligence and carelessness that has now costed me a car. I wouldn’t take a bicycle here. My car was fine, just needed some front end work and I had a coolant leak. I took it here February 28th, 2023. Most of the work on the front end was bad within months, my rack was damaged and so much more, after more than one bad alignment. The coolant leak never ended up being fixed by this joke of a shop, I fixed it myself. I had to take it back here an embarrassing amount of times to get stuff that they broke fixed or failed work they did redone. After they attempted replacing freeze plugs, radiator, water pump, etc, the coolant leak ended up being a cracked reservoir like I mentioned from the start. A $100 part and maybe 30 mins of work. I had to fix that myself. My intake manifold and PCV were broken, and they attempted to glue the intake manifold together and not even tell me until I called to say it was broken and I saw where it was glued together. It came out with an oil leak, when I say I have to top it off, I’m met with a “hunny your oil leak can’t be that bad” and him justifying the oil leak I didn’t have prior (I have this whole conversation recorded). This is not even mentioning the amount of work that was done without asking my permission first. I asked for a second set of copies of my receipts on April 19th, still no receipts (also have audio recording of that). I don’t even know what to say, if I can stop just one person from dealing with this shop, I’ll sleep better at night. Next I’ll be reporting this mess to BBB and getting a lawyer because it actually makes me sick that a shop can be so sloppy and negligent and now I’m forced to get a new car after spending thousands on mine that was fine before making the mistake of coming to this sorry excuse of a shop. Never again. Completely unforgivable.
The pink highlighted is what was diagnosed with it today. And I didn’t have issues with the rear until I had an alignment done. My car is done for.
I brought my 05 Honda in for an oil change and tire replacement. The service was fast and impeccable. Friendly, helpful experienced staff and owners were super friendly. Will definitely be taking my car back for any future issues.
Best mechanics in the buisness really fast and they can come get you too but whatever they fix on your car they just do it and call you when its ready have about 2500 to 3000 ready to pay them cause they just pull the trigger but prices are good but they never ask they just do 2900 dollar job they did it for 1800 they didnt bother to ask if had the money or not.
Great place to take your vehicle!! Took our Bronco Sport in for an oil change before going to Gatlinburg. Found out that our front brake pads were almost gone 😳. Would have needed rotors by the time we got back...lol We got the pads replaced today!! Really nice people there. Think I'll keep going back when it needs more work!!
Would give zero stars if I could. This place first said they accepted our warranty, then pushed and pushed for us to pay him and then take it upon ourselves to get reimbursed through warranty when i had repeatedly spoken with my warranty company and was assured that is not how it works and we did not have to come out of pocket first.
He insisted our vehicle needed a whole new engine, said he already had one ready to pickup and everything. We knew there was no way according to the issues we were having with it that the motor was bad. We Picked the vehicle up, drove it home then to moses dealership the next day and it needed a new fuel pump and line. Has been fine since then and that was months ago. Would never recommend.
Just got my first car inspection, went here because it was recommended by a friend. They were professional, quick, and very friendly. Highly recommend them to everyone!
Love the staff, always have a good job when the works completed. Price is about the same as other shops sometimes a little less. They care and listen to the customer.
It hasn't even been 45 minutes ago that I called the gentleman that runs the place to inquire if he could tow my car and possibly repair a flat. He called me back immediately after missing my call and was here to tow my car Within LESS THAN 20 MINUTES! I was going to ride with the man to the shop so I would not have to find a ride to pick up my car when it's ready. He suggested I let him tow it to his shop, figure out what's wrong with it, get it taken care of and he would bring my car back to my house so I did not have to wait. How cool is that?!?! SO FAR, SO GREAT!
I had an engine installed, what a nightmare. I had instructed them to fix everything on the car they could find. Radio wasn't working and tire sensors were not programmed when I picked it up. The splash shield fell off the 1st day and the power steering hose failed on the 4th day leaving the car with no power steering took it back and they charged me almost $300. When I had made it clear that I wanted all the hoses and belts replaced when they installed the new engine. Then a crunching noise and took it in and they lied and said they had tightened everything up which nothing should have been loose if you just put the motor in. It was cradle bolt that was loose and bent. Fixed in my driveway in 15 minutes. It also had a squeaking belt took it back and they put an idler pully on the car and charged me another $100 after just spending $2200 with them. When they installed the idler pully the battery light came on during the ride home and they were already closed. Now I am finding wires everywhere not fastened to where they need to be, and wires just cut by the fan because they were not routed correctly. Grounds are not hooked up. I am a retired technician and discovered all this tonight and now I am going to have to take it to another shop and have the motor removed again and have it installed correctly because I don't feel safe putting my family in it. Took my car here for alternator replacement . car quit after picking it up from them. Took it back and they said it was my motor car and my carwas no good. Asked me to sell them my car for $100. Towing place told me my car only needed a BATTERY. And is running great. I got a new car for nothing. I will never recommend this garage!
Haven't had anything done but the owner was very nice and ask me to call next week hopefully for an appointment. Will be able to tell you more next week
The experience couldn't have went better. The owner seemed like a hardworking, honest, and reputable kind of guy, he really did. Him and the receptionist treated me like family and was very personable and incredibly nice. They fixed my car too and charged me a fair, honest price. I've had previous experiences, at OTHER shops, where I felt as if I was being taken advantage of due to my obvious lack of knowledge when it came to most things automotive. I did NOT get that impression while I was at this location. In fact I'd go as far as to say that I felt taken CARE of, and I felt like they had my best interest at heart and was looking out for me. If I ever need auto services in the future, this is the business I'm calling first. Thank you guys!
I ran over a sharp object on I 64 and got off the interstate. These professionals were so accommodating and kind and got my tire fixed within 30 minutes. Thank you WV auto care for getting me back on the road and home safely to Ohio.
One star for not charging me to plug my tire, much appreciation. However, if the owner says, your vehicle is good to go, "I ran it 75 mph on the hwy & it's fine, I'll even take you for a test run, you'll see. You just have to have a heavy foot"; take him up on it. Because he is just bluffing you. I just waisted $340 on my vehicle.
3 workers only 1 doing anything. They said the ice cream machine wasn't working right. But they must have been HIGH . The ice cream looked fine. But they made everyone wait in line over 30 minutes , EACH. IN THE DRIVE THRU
Over the past 20 years, I have taken ALL of my cars to WV Auto Care and without fail they ALWAYS CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE and FIX THE PROBLEMS! I have yet to drop off a car that he cannot fix. This is a very reputable and professional business! Thank you.
The work they claimed they did, they did not do. They were supposed to change the head on the car, the gasket, replace front tire rods, replace timing belt. They did change the head they put a used head from a junked car in it (charged me for a rebuilt one from auto parts store) and the head has a bad piston in it so instead of just an oil leak now we have a bad head. They didn’t change the timing belt or the tire rods but did keep the car for 3 wks and then the owner was found driving it to and from work. When confronted about the work he said “prove it” Take vehicles elsewhere he’s ripping people off
Charged Me $100 To Take Out A Part That Had Nothing To Do With The Problem. Took It To Another Shop They Charged Me $85 And Fixed The Problem. Too Expensive For Guess Work.
The owners as well as their staff are very knowledgeable about their work. They're friendly and hard working. They do all variety of work from brakes to changing out motors. If you need a motor for your car or truck, you won't go wrong getting it from them. I trust them to be honest and reasonable. They take care of my work car and I'm going to take my personal vehicle to them because I know they'll treat me right with the quality and the price.
These guys helped us out on our way to Kentucky. We were 400 miles into our trip and had another 300 more to go. Our car broke down at 5am on a Friday and we were towed to their shop (The Ford Dealership down the street would not help us out.) They took our Ford Escape and started working on it immediately and called a rental car company which came and picked us up. After we secured our rental car we were on our way. The owner gave us his cell phone number and we contacted him during the rest of our trip as his guys worked on it on Friday and Saturday. When we came back through the town on our way home he came from his house and met us at his shop after hours so we could pick it up. He called me the next day to make sure all was well. You can't find service this good anywhere! Thanks WV Auto Care for saving our trip!
