So upset. Called around 5 asking if they had a battery for my car, my husband and I just got back to town from a vacation (we are pretty sure battery is on last leg) Man I spoke with I think his name was Mike said they had the battery in stock and they were open until 9PM (usually it wouldn’t be such a rush but I have an important OBGYN appointment tomorrow to make sure baby is ok) so we got there about 8:45PM and lights were off and doors were locked. Super lame. Thank you for causing a pregnant woman a panic attack.
I've used this Advance Auto for years with no issues, but in recent months everytime I call the store I end up on hold for at least 10 minutes before I hang up.
My battery died, so I took my car to get the battery checked. The guy didn’t 100% appear to know what he was doing, but the device said my battery was good. I asked if the fact my car was on while he was checking made a difference, and he said no. I ended up having to take it to a shop to get evaluated. Turns out it was the battery, and I ended up being charged $330 for them to change it. After researching, the battery should have been tested with the car off, and knowing my battery had just died, it should have checked the cranking AND alternator, but he didn’t. I wish I knew this before, but you kinda just expect places that offer these services to know what they’re doing. Thanks for costing me a ton of money bc your employees didn’t know how to do their job.
Wow Christian helped me when I couldn't figure out why the car kept dying. The CSRs tested the battery and alternator, both were good. Then noticed a spark on the positive terminal. I needed new battery terminals.
I used to get in the zone, but now I'm more advanced.
I Went to get my battery checked and they said it was ok it just needed to be cleaned and charged for 10 mins. When it was time to put the battery back in the boy seemed like he was having trouble. Two days later I went to the advance auto in cross lanes and they said my terminals could just be pulled off and they were even on tight. They also said my battery was dead and replaced it.
We had a very good experience here I think we had the manager but he really knew his stuff and he was so nice and helpful I absolutely hate going to advance auto parts stores I have never had anyone til this time that knew what they was doing and was nice everyone I've been to they r rude unfriendly and don't want to do their job or help they act like they are inconvenienced by your being there lol but this place was different !!! Thanks so much
Were nice but literally sold me a tool I didn’t need and tried to rent me a $140 tool i also didn’t need and sold me the wrong side tie rod end, even after explaining I was low on cash and 700 miles from home. Not exactly helpful
My truck broke down in front of the store. They were happy to check my battery and alternator. After the tests they charged my battery so I could get home
Bought windshield wipers for my 16 VW Jetta. Rep was nice, and provided his recommendation on which brand I should go with in accordance to durability and functionality.

I am a single woman and couldn't get any help getting a light bulb out after I purchased the bulb there. I spent plenty of money with this company but will never spend another dollar and I will suggest that anyone else take their business elsewhere like Auto zone.
Went in for an air filter and requested price match for $12.99 because Oreillys had it for that and theres was 21.99 got tild they normally dont do it without a quote yet you can get on there website online and see the same thing, got treated like an enemy basically because of that. But in the end they told me they would do it just this one time.
They have been life savers lately, online, purchase is way to go to get 20 percent off, bought an alterbator guy was extreamly helpful, and then a control arm yesterday and they helped me tackle the untacklable thanks in advance

Stopped by in need of having my alternator tested. They were extremely busy, but made it a point to smile and be patient with me. I had several questions as well as needing the test done. Travis was amazing he went out of his way to help me and to fix my car so that I could get it home. It was hot and miserable and he didn't have to go above and beyond but he did.
I've always had great customer service and a part selection that normally gets me back going but if needed Parts can be in by the next day all friendly faces and smiles on the whole time eager to help great place to go
I've been using this store since my first car, exceptional staff, very friendly, always going the extra mile for me. Even if they don't have what I need they help me find it (even if it's not an advance auto part)
They sell parts. Some are a bit more knowledgeable than others. Sometimes you have to wait for parts from another site or go to another store to get what you need.
One of best locations around the Charleston Area. Great staff, very nice people! They always have the parts I need & are more then welling to help you.
