Broke down at Walmart went to one repair shop. They said they couldn't fix it. They took it over to Brush Road. I live 6 hours away in Maryland. They fixed the Jeep and let me pay over the phone and pick it up after hours.
Had them replace an engine for me. reused the old alternator, exhaust manifolds, fuel filter, accessory pulleys, radiator hoses, and heater hoses from the old engine. attempted to reuse the old radiator but were thankfully stopped due to stop leak additive in the old radiator. who knows what other parts they reused. the fuel filter was filthy. who wants old clapped out parts installed on their $5700 brand new engine? not me. 302s have two dipstick holes because they were used in cars and trucks. they didnt install a cap in the dipstick hole the cars use so had to pay $90 to get it towed back to get fixed after spending $8000+ on the engine installation(parts/labor). the vacuum modulator on the transmission was bent when i got it back. i have no proof it was done by them so i fixed that myself. i know it wasnt bent when i took it to them. they didnt install the vacuum advance so the truck was drinking fuel. also didnt install a crankcase breather. heater hoses leaked since they reused those. theres another $250 i had to pay to a different shop to have those things fixed. thank god this new shop caught those issues or i would just think 302s get horrible gas mileage brand new. they did install some parts for zero labor cost it looks like on the receipt. i think maybe thats the reason they seemed to just want the job finished and get the truck out of their shop. i would never expect somebody to not make money working on my vehicles. i wouldve gladly paid that labor cost in exchange for a more thorough job. they did do me a solid by not charging to install the gas tank which is the only reason this isnt a 1 star review. i chose this shop because of all the positive reviews and all the business they seem to do. i have no doubt they're good people so maybe they just didnt know about the crankcase breather, dipstick hole, or the vacuum advance.
My vehicle broke down on I64 at about 2 in the afternoon, (heading from VA back home to indiana) had to call AAA.; one way towing showed up and towed my vehicle to the shop…. They got my vehicle in IMMEDIATELY, checked my car out at about 3 in the afternoon…. They found starter to be bad,. Immediately got on phone and had a new one there in no time at all, we were fixed up and back on the road within MAX 2 hours. DAWSON was our mechanic, he was friendly and fast… good people, very helpful and know what they are doing; and DID NOT rake me over coals on price like many would have.. we were in a bind and these people made sure we were taken care of THANK YOU
We had some car troubles on our way home to IA from VA. Luckily it started when we were just a couple miles from Brush Road Auto. I called and they were able to take a look first thing the next morning, patched it up and we were on our way.
Brush Road is amazing! I’ve taken my vehicles there for about 2 years now. They’ve continued to provide excellent service and they are super friendly! They have earned my trust and it also feels like I’m going to visit friends I’ve had for a long time.

Edit June 2024 - The transmission went out in my truck while I was in DC. I took it to a local transmission shop who tried to charge me to fix things that weren't wrong. I came back home and took it to Brush Road who fixed what was actually wrong for 1/3 the price, and again...with a smile and friendly service. Brush Road is the only choice as far as I am concerned. Excellent job again folks, thank you so very much!!!
I'm a new resident and needed vehicle inspection. Excellent, efficient service. Rotated tires and replaced missing lug nuts free of charge! Kind and friendly staff. Quality workmanship. Highly recommend!
Our car broke down while passing through. They looked at it right away and helped with advise on getting us the almost 5 hours home. They did all this on a Friday afternoon (with all the bays filled and very busy) and wouldn't even take any payment, saying we had a rough enough day already.

While passing through Lewisburg on our way home from South Carolina, my car started to run very roughly, to the point we knew we couldn't make it home.
We called Brush Road Auto, and they told us, while they were super busy, and didn't have an available spot, we could stop by and they'd take a look.
They came right out, put a tester on my car, and did what they could to help us. Unfortunately my car was beyond help, but everyone at Brush Road was very kind, helpful, and professional.

I was new to lewisburg, Wv. Brush auto with Rodney at the helm came through with flying colors. My 4runner had some new issues and were fixed quick and inexpensively I might add. Thank to Brush automotive in lewisburg!
Very dissatisfied. Called and set up an appointment,got there early. The young gentleman that came out to check on my vehicle as to what they were replacing proceeded to tell me I needed a fuel pump not an alternator like I knew I needed. Gave me an attitude when I said well my battery light is on and my vehicle started and ran so it is not the fuel pump. Told me my alternator tested high. Went and got a second test done at another shop to where the alternator was too low to even register. Will not be going back.
Have taken a couple cars to them, and although I leave with the engine light off, inside of 5 miles, engine light has always come back on. And with this last issue they “fixed” I’m now without a vehicle, because I don’t believe the issue was properly taken care of. Wouldn’t recommend this mechanic shop
I was disappointed to experience that Brush Road Auto would not take responsibility for a cross-threaded lug nut issue following my last tire rotation, which wasn't discovered until going for a new tire rotation. I asked if they would cover the cost, and they would not. If you can't take ownership of your previous work, then I can't trust you with future work. This is a shame in such a small town, especially.
OUTSTANDING!! I'm from out of town and my brakes seized up on our way to the caverns. They took me right in when the tow truck guy got me there. Diagnosed the e-brake had broken. They fixed me up in 20 min and the bill was far less than I think it should have been. Tried to pay more and Audrey who works in the office refused. Thank you Rodney, Chris and Audrey! You guys are simply the best!
Both times I have went to Brush Rd Auto I have been very pleased. They done a great job, great prices for the work I had done. I would definitely recommend and will go back!!
I was visiting from Nashville, TN in my campervan. The A/C seemed to be turning warm. I was only there for 2 days. I called 3 dealers and they couldn't look at it for at least four days. I called Brush Road and he offered to come and look at it on a Saturday morning. He's not open on Saturday!!!!! I showed up and he said my freon was low. I stood outside guessing how huge the bill was going to be with friends. When he was finished filling my car with freon and I watched him do it while he explained the entire process (and I was able to see gauges of what was going in and out) - the price was 75% less than we all estimated. This guy is the real deal. Honest and helpful. DO NOT take your car to a dealer until you have called this guy to see if he can help you first. I recommend this guy 100%!!!!!
I would rate it 10 if I could! I was traveling to the coast of North Carolina from Indiana and I had a U-Haul trailer and nobody else could get me in, Brush Rd not only helped me, but his diagnostic skills were exceptional. I wished I lived closer because they would be my go to. And...and he could have taken advantage of me. I was from out of town, probably never see me again, but he was more than fair. I would recommend them to everyone!
BEWARE
Brush Road Auto performed a faulty repair on our vehicle which resulted in us having an accident breakdown on a mountain in the middle of the night to our big distress.
Brush Road installed a new radiator and clutch in our Ford vechicle but failed to harness the clutch, ultimately resulting in the clutch to snap and break the radiator, and radiator shroud, just days later!
Both Ford and our new AAA certified mechanics pointed out their negligent work and wanted to hold Brush Road liable. We had to have the same parts and more replaced because of their faulty work, and were stranded in a foreign city for 4 days to have the repair fixed.
We reached out to Brush Road with all documentation from the other mechanics, pleeing them to cover our costs, but they denied any responsibility and didn’t even offer to look at the vechicle again.
We are now going to court to have justice be served.
So BE CAREFUL! We thought this was a trustworthy place, but turns out its far from it - and it has been a very tormenting process to say the least.
Rodney is very nice, kind and honest. We drive from Ohio and our car was leaking engine oil on the high way. We had to pull off and call auto shops nearby, it was almost 5pm and close to the off hour. Rodney found the leak quickly and called different suppliers for parts. His finance helped us find a hotel to stay and gave us a ride to the hotel and picked us up next day when the car was fixed. For the whole process they only charged 1.5labor hour and parts. We were lucky enough to find this kind and nice couple. Wish them a good business!
I brought my van here about a year and half ago. They told my my transmission was going out. I had them fix it, along with my brakes and new exhaust pipe. Charged me over $2300 for the repair. I drove the vehicle to co, where my exhaust pipe fell off on the highway, took out my rear brake line. Luckily my front brakes were still intact. On the way back my transmission started faltering. I lost second gear. I had to pay someone else to fix my brakes and for a new exhaust pipe. Which came out to about $387. When I brought it back to this shop, the redid my transmission on the house. I lost second gear within a week. I will never let them touch my vehicle again. I am out thousands of dollars thanks to them
I had a close friend have thier truck end up there in a wierd tow truck mix up. They kept his vehicle for over a month and ended up telling him they didnt know what was wrong with the vehicle! They didnt want just throw parts at it. For a month they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. They changed the air filter and told him it was fixed and when it died on the road and it had to be towed back to the shop because they hadnt actually done anything to fix the problem they tried to charge him for the tow!

I was driving through Lewisburg, beginning my cross country drive from coastal Virginia, when my 2015 Honda Civic started to have transmission issues around 4:30pm. Bob was able to help me get back on the road that very next morning, and was very kind and reassuring. My car was an easy fix but the price was more than fair and my car has been running as it should! Very grateful to Bob for his help.
Our car broke down on a road trip ten hours from home. These guys were the only ones in town willing to take us on a Friday afternoon before the long holiday weekend. They even came and picked up all four of us since we couldn’t ride in the tow truck. They fixed the issue and had us back on the road in less than 30 minutes! So grateful! There are good people in this world.
My son's Jeep had been towed from Snowshoe, WV. Thank you Tri County Towing for the rescue!! Bob diagnosed the issue, ordered the part, and fixed the Jeep the next day. Grateful for the speedy service and getting my son reunited with his Jeep!
My wife and I were in town visiting family and our truck broke down on the way. These gentlemen not only got us in same day they provided trustworthy, and phenomenal service that allowed our family to get back on the road in time. I wish we lived closer so I could use them for regular service on our vehicles.
