Jack’s Discount Auto Body Parts came through when no one else could. I needed a hard-to-find part for my car, and not only did they have it in stock, but the price was way better than anywhere else I called. Staff was honest, helpful, and didn’t try to upsell anything. They even double-checked fitment to make sure it was right. Great service, fair pricing — highly recommend!
Great place good people actually know what they talking about not like these young kids working at Autozone or Oriellys. Definitely check it out for Chevy part or GM or anything !
Wish I could give these guys more stars. We own a small auto repair shop and these guys are our go to for all things machining related. We made the mistake of trying a machine shop that was closer to us. We won't make that mistake again. They are always courteous and they know their stuff. I mean, they've been in business since 1978 so they are obviously doing something right. I highly recommend. Just look at all the stuff they do. Thank you Honest Jack's!!
I forget the name of the person who helped me, he was a shorter man, but I came in looking for new windshield wipers. He came out to my car to measure, I bought them, he asked me if I’d like help replacing them (I’d otherwise YouTube this lol) and then asked me to test it out. I appreciate how prompt and helpful he was.

I've read past reviews of others, this place has changed apparently. As a simple example I was charged 2 dollars (gonna cry over 2 dollars, what a baby) for a 2in common bolt that everyone else would charge 40cent for. That is my basic experience.
Back in the 90s my dad would come here often for car parts. The only reason he stopped coming here is because we moved out of Seattle back in 1999. I can't imagine that this place has changed much.
Seemed like they're mostly automotive stuff but they were perfectly happy to try and repair a piece off my dust collector motor for me. They were nice, professional, did a fine job at the repairs that were possible, and only charged me $10.
I'll happily bring my next ill-advised Craigslist purchase here once I find out it doesn't work and see what they can do with it.
Called for a lower clutch line for my B series. The dude could been outshined by a lightbulb, he was that dull. Maybe Ill give this place a second chance but maybe not.
The guy working here was very rude to me when I was trying to order parts for my Thunderbird. He basically refused to believe I had a Thunderbird, and kept trying to sell me a window for a Ford Taurus... I own 2 thunderbirds currently and have owned 5 all together... Really annoying, I was not able to get my window here but had a great experience up the street at peter pan auto glass.
Fantastic service and they give great advice. I come here for cylinder honing, boring, crankshaft grinding, wheel bearing removal, axle assembly re grease, brake rotor resurface and many more. Ric is the engine specialist, and Jack is great all around. Sam can do work on your car for a good price. He did my all 4 corner of my 2008 Ford F150 for $200 labor including resurface rotor and brake fluid flush. A+!
What a find! With fingers crossed, I took in a bust motorcycle seat that I had made impossible to fix. Yes, they took time, persevered and made it as good as new. These guys rock! Support them.
Grate machine shop is been close to 10 engines that I rebuild to me and my family and never got any issues,, just take longer than expected but I'm not in a hurry so that works for me
I am not someone who is very knowledgeable about cars but needed a higher capacity battery. After reading reviews I stopped by the shop to see if they could assist. Not only did they have a new battery ordered for me the same day but they installed it for me as well. Price of the battery was less than anything I was quoted online at the chain stores (O'Reilly/Autozone etc.).
If you want great service from a local shop give Honest Jack's your business.
Good people willing to go the extra mile for you. My daughter in law couldn't afford the 315.00 the dealership wanted to replace her headlight. I remembered Honest Jack's from 19 years ago when I lived in Seattle. We called them and Rick said they could get the part for 48.00 and he'd put it in no charge. Not only did Rick install the part, but Jack gave my 4 year old granddaughter some orange juice while we waited and listened to her singing. My daughter in law has already told 2 friends about their amazing caring service. Thank you both for being such truly good and caring people. I can't recommend you highly enough. Good people.
I'm from denver so I'm used to having a bunch of pull and saves nearby. But this is way better, 100% ,the way to go I will never go to another shop for my needs Honest Jack's is the best around.
This place is the best! I brought my dead battery in and the guys helped me test it and my alternator, and gave me great advice on what to do next. Thorough, considerate, honest neighborhood spot. Strong recommend!

Honest Jack's been around since 1978, a cornerstone business on the South End. Jack is honest and helpful, I watched him effortlessly switch from English to Spanish while helping folks on the phone and in person. But I do think I need to say this: he hasn't been keeping up with technology. I went there to get a new battery, and he said he could install it for me. But then he started taking out the battery without hooking up a battery backup to maintain power to the car computer, which can really screw up anything that uses the computer (including fuel timing, etc). I had to stop him before he went to far and tell him, and he seemed surprised. Cars have been computer controlled for a while now though...anyway, go to Jack for good prices and a friendly face, but not if you want the most up to date info/equipment for modern cars.
Definitely worth the trip from Shoreline to buy a battery (they kindly ordered it yesterday) since mine was shot and my local auto store was significantly more expensive . I didn't catch the gentleman's name (Maybe Rick?) but he was knowledgeable and replaced the battery at no extra cost. Next time I need a part, I'll be going here.
I trust this place. Been coming here for many many years. I'm a loyal customer. They have very decent price. And most of all Jack is honest!

Excellent and knowledgeable service. They know the parts and can refer you to a top mechanic. I highly recommend using them versus Auto Zone or other chain stores. Neighborhood institution! Picked up some spark plugs for my momma's 98 Ford Taurus. And some motor oil! Prices are cheap as well!
Horrible customer service. I was shopping at this store and first not one employee could be bothered to help me. Then I listened to one of them on the phone with a customer actually say to the customer"im not you little b#%@*".... unbelievable......I immediately left and went to another parts store.
This place has been around for a long time. They sell car parts. I bought a windshield wiper. The guy put it on for me. He was not a friendly person but I know he knows his stuff. The most of their customers are people who know how to fix cars.
I love going here and buying parts Rick and Jack the two brothers that own the place are great they have done everything I have expected as for customer service they're the greatest I'd pick them over the other guys anyday and honestly even if they don't beat the competitors price their service is much better hands down... so, I'd rather spend my money there happy wrenching everyone!!!
Needed a new battery, they quoted me 30$ cheeper than Autozone/ O'Reillys. Showed up and they were really helpful, even installed the new one without me having to ask. Great service, will go back to support this independently run and owned business.
The prices are reasonable. The selection is good for a place of that magnitude. I've seen much larger places with only 1/2 the stuff and sold for twice as much. I don't know Jack (no pun). He is really honest thanks
