I brought my car in with a dead battery, I originally thought it was a bigger issue, but the tow truck driver said it was the battery. Which I let Jeff know. He told me he would call before he did any repairs. I dropped off my car before noon. No one ever called me to let me know my car was ready. I called about an hour before they closed and Jeff told me the car was ready. I had to pay $550 diagnose and to replace a battery which seems way too high.

My experience with Shoreline Family Auto has been well above expectations and standards. Any time I have taken my car to this shop, I have received service that provided me a a sense of security that allowed me to breathe during a difficult time. No one wants to be in a position where their car isn’t working and they need to bring it to a mechanic, and I felt that these guys understood that. I spoke mostly with Jeff when it came to what was happening with my car. He is thorough, caring, and responsive. He talked me through the issues pertaining to my vehicle in such a kind and professional manner. He answered any questions I had and the way he communicates is in a way only someone who actually cares would. I highly recommend assigning Shoreline Family Auto as your trusted mechanic.

I’ve been a client of Shoreline Family Autocare for over a decade, and I don’t intend on going elsewhere. Maher, Mark and the rest of the team, are honest, highly skilled and very kind. It is rare to find a trustworthy, fairly-priced mechanic in the greater Seattle area. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle(s) here. You won’t regret it.

They neglected to tell us we had a 4 inch nail stuck in our tires after their service, which I find extremely surprising that they could miss that during the inspection. Thankfully our tires needed to go anyways, which they also neglected to give us a heads up on. Overall, a terrible auto mechanic shop that markets to be family friendly but it's just a facade. They don't care about families like ours.

Quality service, great guys to work with, but unreasonable prices. My recent oil change was over twice the price of the other shop I typically go to, for the same service in the same quality.

This is the best repair shop in my area. They have experienced repair techs.They also take time to track down problems. Jeff, and Mayer call and update me on the repair work. I thought my car was toast and tried to get in to our regular shop but they were booked out for weeks (still love them!) Mark and crew got my car in, thoroughly checked and problems fixed in short time and at an absolutely reasonable cost. Thanks yall!

I came in for an emergency alternator replacement and despite being really busy, they still fit me in and got my car finished next day! Prices were reasonable and staff was very friendly (so was their pet rock!), I would highly recommend!

The have a great location with the best staff and always know what is going on with my car. They will also give great recommendations for keeping my car safe and running great. Chatted with Troy about some general car info. We aren't currently in the market, but looking and getting ideas, budget, etc together. The next day, I went by to check it out. 100% as described online! Super friendly, very casual, and laid back. Will 100% check here first for a car!

Friendly. Personable and stand by their service. Replaced a second alternator after the first one failed one month later. Under warranty and fit me into their schedule right away. I have a classic 1978 Ford F150. I'll be using them again

Troy at auto sales are awesome. He went extra steps to help to ensure the car is in good condition and offers great warranty. He replaced new radiator and light bulb for free :) Maher at auto care is great and very friendly too!

Bought a 98' civic from these guys, I paid and signed all the paperwork and on the drive home noticed the throwout bearing was making noise so I called to tell them expecting them to tell me "all sales are final, sorry about your luck.". ABSOLUTELY NOT! They helped me with everything until the car was in great working order. I couldn't recommend them more, I would without a doubt buy another vehicle from Terry and his team.

We drove up from Tacoma to check out a vehicle at a car lot up the road and was highly disappointed with the vehicle and all around business. We decided to take a walk and stumbled upon this lot. I just realized the lot was closed for the business day as I am writing this review. when we walked on site Troy came out to greet us with a smile and friendly demeanor, and never once mentioned they were already closed. His customer service was outstanding. His prices are fair and reasonable. These Vehicles are maintenance to perfection for a used car lot, doing this the right way first, quality over quantity. They cater to the customers who believes in the same values. He allowed us to test drive the car and we were shocked when Troy told us he offers a 60-day vehicle warranty. Which is unheard of from a used car lot. Needless to say we purchased the car and satisfied all around. I highly recommend this business and Troy!

Troy is awesome! I bought a 2001 Toyota Corolla a year and a half ago and haven't had any issues at all. Right after I bought it the lights in the dashboard went out but they did a quick fix and it was covered under my warranty. This is the place to go for a no pressure and honest sales experience. As a young female who doesn't have a lot of experience buying a car, I felt way more comfortable here compared to other dealerships. It's reassuring to know that they are AAA approved and do a lot of work to the car before selling it, whereas other places will just sell cars "as is" and you never know what's going to happen in the future. Would highly recommend!

Being a 23 yr old female can often be the hardest thing about going into a mechanic. While I have some background in cars, I never had to doubt the team here. From the moment I called they were so honest and willing to help. I brought my 2006 Ford Escape in for tons of work. I originally went somewhere else in Shoreline and was being ripped off. I was recommended these guys and I just want to share that recommendation. My car was originally quoted for $5,500. Upon bringing it to these guys and telling them everything that was wrong they said that was high and wanted to look at it themselves. When they did Maher was willing to not only get me an itemized list but acknowledge how expensive getting everything would be and helped me decide what was vital. Long story short, I ended up doing about $3,000 worth of work with them and even after I agreed to the work Maher advised me if I wanted to sell my vehicle it wouldn't be worth doing the work which in my opinion is so incredibly honest. Finally, they offered to fix my wiper hose complimentary and forgot since it was so small and a day after picking up my vehicle he emailed me telling me even though they forgot they "owe it to me". He went out of his way to acknowledge and still offer it. I am very very happy with everything they have done and will not be taking either of my cars anywhere else. These are incredibly kind and honest mechanics and I am happy to continue being serviced with them.

My teenage son was in Washington for the summer when our engine died. After 200K+ miles it didn't owe us much, but I was worried since we didn't have any automotive connections up there. These guys got an engine, gave us unbelievably good service/price and got him on the road as reasonably as humanly possible. Many thanks to Mark and the great crew! Car runs like new again!

This was my third visit in 2 years since Honest Auto closed. All three times they did careful work on problems and routine maintenance on my 1995 Aerostar. The car runs perfectly and their prices are affordable. The car is ready when promised. Mark, the service manager, is great at the front desk.

Came in with my front bumper hanging off pretty badly. Wasn’t sure if they could do it because it’s a Mercedes but they did a wonderful job. They only had my car for a day and half. They stuck to the quoted price so I was very happy about that. The man in the office is super kind and gave great customer service any time I called. Will definitely use them as our mechanic now.

I was pleased to be able to get our van in on short notice, as the starter had gone bad and the van had to be towed. My wife dropped off the key and interacted with the shop; they indicated it would be about $500 for parts and labor for this. My wife suggested they perform the recommended oil change service as well while it was there. Fine. When I called to pick up the van, they said the battery was testing bad in addition to the starter. Ok. So I authorized a battery swap. The good news was that the starter and labor were around $500 as estimated. But the battery...I found batteries online for $98.17, $130, even $160. I could not find an equivalently expensive battery to the one the shop put in, at $183.57. It also turns out that they pop you for installation and testing this brand-new battery for another $37.75. Of course, most auto parts stores will replace a battery for free. It's a job of less than 5 minutes. That would make the shop's labor rate $453/hour. Just math. Yes, it has a 6-year full-replacement warranty, which is a very good warranty. But I would not have selected this option. To get value out of this expensive battery, I would need to hope that it fails so that I can get a free replacement in a few years. Two batteries put together might give me $183.57 worth of battery life. $220. For a battery. The oil change service was $96.52 (oil, filter, labor). This was in part due to using Mobil 1 full synthetic oil, which is a far more expensive option than I would have chosen. I would have hoped the shop at least would have tried to upsell me to these options, rather than just bypass the conversation. And maybe this is their standard practice. Either way, make sure you ask about each item before the work is done. I chose to blow off being informed and paid for it.

I have been coming to Family Auto Care since I bought my used PT Cruiser back in 2014 off cragislist. They have always been straight forward with what kind of repairs go with each car. Most anything fixed on a car you are paying for labor, pay for what you don't want to do yourself. I stopped doing repairs on it once I found the cost of repairs and the resell value didn't add up. My Pt cruiser had its problems but it lasted until today, a good 4 years. The head gasket blew today, I dramatically drove into the shop with steam coming out of the hood and I am happy to say, Shoreline Family auto care took good care of me and my car until the end. They were just doing oil changes at the end because I knew I was going to get a new car eventually and now eventually has happened. If you need something done, go ask Mark, they are great little shop!

I needed to go in and replace my thermostat and water pump. Mark was super helpful and polite, he was able to squeeze me in at quick notice. When I had told him that I was going on a road trip they went out of there way to check all of my fluids, fill them up and fill up my tires. The service was great and my car has never sounded better. Thanks guys!!

My father purchased a vehicle here recently, I was not with him and have not had contact with anyone at this place. That being said, I have to write this for him because he was sold a car with many issues and this dealer did not do an adequate job at resolving them. We had another place perform an oil change & inspection, which the dealer reimbursed him for at least. But the inspection results were so bad that the repairs would cost more than the value of the vehicle itself, their words not mine. My father then returned to this dealer looking for a resolution, they kept his vehicle for repairs for almost 2 weeks saying we'll fix what we can. After getting the car back, there are still some serious issues present but that's all the dealer can do for him they say. It's understandable to have issues arise but it's how they are resolved that speaks volumes and my father & I both feel they didn't do enough. Side note, I've worked in the automotive industry for over 15 years, specifically in Service & Customer Care, so I have a decent idea of how things should be resolved, this was not it.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever used to get my cars fixed. They listen. One time (4-5 year’s ago) I had a problem, in that one of the techs was careless in his work (nothing dangerous). When I pointed it out to management, they went out of their way to make me a happy, returning customer. What more can I ask for?

I have had friends recommend Shoreline Family Auto Care to me many times but I have not needed auto services until recently. I noticed what I thought was a leak on my garage floor and took my car to them to be checked out. They checked it out and told me that everything looked good and that they found no leaks. I had just had an oil change and radiator flush so it was possible that there was just overflow fluid dripping on the floor….or maybe rainwater. I only post this because any mechanic who will check out your car for an hour, tell you nothing is wrong, and then charge you nothing is someone who will do right by you when there really is something wrong. Will be taking my car back there if it ever needs repairs.
