Our camper was involved in a flip over back in August and Chris’ team was called to take care of the event by the state police. At first everything seemed great. They were helpful and worked with us as we were far from home. We were able to get everything from inside the camper in the days following. We worked with our insurance to pay for this incident and they had no issue doing so. As weeks began to go by Chris began to harass myself and mother in-law as she was technically the owner of the camper. This went on for weeks into months with Chris saying he hasn’t received payment and began threatening legal action. Talking with the insurance company they stated Chris was withholding information they specially asked for. They were ready to pay the bill and just needed information from him. The harassing and threatening phone calls and messages continued with him blaming the insurance company for the delay. Threats of legal action, suing us, the list goes on. Reading through previous reviews I can see this is his tactic to draw more money out of various cases he’s involved in. Eventually the insurance settled and paid the bill but not after Chris held onto the camper and tacked on thousands more dollars in “storage” fees. He’s a scam artist who takes advantage of people when he sees a benefit for himself. I would never recommend his services to anyone and would avoid him at all costs. I wish I could give less than 1 star review.
Chris helped us in the accident, his guys arrived quickly and pulled our semi truck from the scene safely to their yard.
Would reccomend his service! He even cut 5 days of storage and gave us grace period to pick up our equipment.

My boyfriend's vehicle was towed here. When we attempted to retrieve the vehicle we had to wait until almost 6:00pm. They told him in order to get his vehicle out that he had to pay 285 dollars and it had to be in cash. In the state of Virginia the maximum amount for a police tow is $150.00 dollars. under VA code 46.21233.1. The law allows them to add a $30.00 dollar fee due to it being picked up during the night. So how do you legally charge another 100 dollars. He was also told if he didn't pay cash he would have to pay a 10% credit card fee. In the state of VA that is also illegal. Companies are not allowed to charge for debit card use. I called to have this rectified and of course nobody called me back. I have contacted the better business bureau, and I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office. I will be seeking legal issues if need be. These towing companies know you don't know the law well enough to fight this but do your research before you pay these ridiculous fees and charges.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.. i had a $30,000.00 dollar tow bill from them .. my equipment got damaged.. John cox is the superintendent..you shouldn’t be allowed to tow you are inexperienced operator.. they gouge you on your bill .. I hope this gets posted.. if not .. I will post it on Facebook on my page ..Ronnie Harris .. and I do have pics to post of the bill and damages .. so if they chanrge you ..example $100.00 to tow for you and the competition is $200.00 do yourself pay the extra money. You will be glad you did
We didn't choose this company. The police officer did, but when we called The Body Shop and told them where the vehicle was they said how horrible they were to deal with. They weren't kidding. They don't answer or return phone calls. Our insurance had been trying for days and couldn't get through to them. They asked me if we could. I finally got ahold of the gentleman named Chris. Chris you are the rudest man I've ever had to deal with. This man needs to go to anger management. Wouldn't let you talk wouldn't give information was screaming over the phone for no reason at all. Just trying to get the amount that was due and ask you to return the call to our insurance. So they could come pick the car up and take to body shop. They try to avoid giving information or answering the phone so they can keep the car there and rack up the bill. Chris if you're the owner or manager you don't treat customers like this. Learn to listen and give people a chance to talk and stop screaming and saying a bunch of nonsense about rules and regulations. Dude it's our car it's our insurance we're paying the bill. And you made sure it was a really big one because you kept the car there for an extra week. Because you refuse to answer a return phone calls.
called these guys to move a loaded dry van trailer to my shop, they gave me a price that was very affordable, and as able to get on it in speedy time, very happy with the services performed!!!
Shenandoah Towing provided excellent service. Chris, who answered the phone, was professional and the tow truck driver, Jessy was very friendly and professional. They were able to come within an hour of booking to hook and their equipment is top-notch. As a business owner and know overhead cost I thought the the price was very fair. It was around 11:30 at night, just had my car obliterated by a deer, an hour from home, it was cold, and I was by myself. I called three towing companies but it was Shenandoah Towing who saved the day! While I was a wreck (and so was my car) they were so friendly, caring, and made such a stressful event as painless as possible. They came so quickly and the driver even gave me a few laughs, which really helped to lighten my mood. I’m so grateful for them, their quick response, and overall kindness. Thank you guys!!
I will not call this company again. After being referred by many other tow vendors in the area that this was a great vendor who would assist and they had the needed equipment to performed the job we needed.
This "owner" Chris gave a outrageous cost of $3500 to push a load of lumber forward. Then gave a 4-5 hour ETA to do the job. He refused to write down any information, wanted everything spoon fed to him. Definitely not a customer oriented company. In my opinion a customer that is willing to pay $3500 to get a job done, should not be made to also be their secretary.
I guess they really do own a Monopoly in the area.
Well working late night I got stuck on a guard rail contacted this company John in Jessie came out removed my truck from being stuck no damage was done to my vehicle nor to the guard rail these two gentlemen were extremely polite quick service very friendly to deal with it will recommend to anybody. Thank you gentlemen for a great job
The tow guy was awesome broke down a mile from my appointment. And he offered to drop off my load at my destination. and bring my truck to the service station. Thanks J.
The owner is a thief. The company towed our truck and trailer from a not at fault accident my driver was in. The original tow bill was about 50k. There were charges on there such as "Emergency Activation Fee @ $3,500, Emergency Response unit @ $2,000, an Admin Fee of $4,280, and a $200 release fee". We were charged a $100 a day for each the tractor, trailer, and a dumpster? The daily storage charge for the tractor and trailer were expected, but the dumpster??? The worst part is when we or our insurance company would call to pay he would continuously dodge our calls, or say "he couldn't talk he was working on his farm", he would also say he didn't receive the checks from us or our insurance even though they said delivered. He did all of this while having the audacity to keep charging us $300 a day for storage. All in all he basically robbed us of about 20k more in just storage fees. I don't think he did was was legal. From here we plan on making a complaint to the state about this.

Our truck tractor slipped off the road and ended on the median of the highway. Police called in this towing company and they excessively charged our company. Tried to have the invoice sorted out, and things got worse.
Christopher gave us a hard time getting the invoice, sending over payment and releasing our unit.
Extremely rude, condescending, and would not let me talk or ask questions. Higher prices than any other towing service I have ever used. I WOULD NOT!!! recommend this company.
Problem person creates drama and antagonizes heavy loads with way over priced charges after accidents. Towing procedures inproper to guidelines by the state. Constantly got something to say never allows anyone else to say the truth he babbles on and on this company is garbage
My class-C motorhome was stranded in the middle of a two-lane road and my roadside assistance service couldn't find me a tow. The police officer recommended and called Shenandoah Towing for me. They arrived and loaded the RV onto their flatbed lickety split. They listened to what my problem seemed to be and towed me to a terrific shop that was able to fix my problem. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I am very grateful for their help. Highly recommended.
Will not let you know how much the tow bill will be until they hook your car up, tow it away and drops you off with a $500 bill. If you have liability insurance you will be ripped a new one. Read this before you make a costly mistake by using this company to tow your vehicle.
They charged me 150 and they didn’t even tow my car, even though he was a nice man he did not provide any service but yet required to pay him! That should be against the law but!!! I would NEVER USE THEM
He drove my car out of a small ditch on the side of the road and for that they charged me! The police called them and they took complete advantage!!!!! I do feel they are due some payment but 150 was excessive when he didn’t use his TOW TRUCK

Shenandoah Towing has serviced me and my family for years! I remembered when my old Ford Focus timing belt snapped and Shenandoah Towing came within 20 minutes and had my down at Speedy's.... Unfortunately that was the last day I ever drove her.
