Great work, great experience, it was worth the wait! The tour pack is what was painted to match the stock paint on the bike! The finish was like glass.
We went back to Colorworks again for a 2025 new vehicle Ceramic Coating. As expected, Michael and Chris attention to detail was exceptional with this job as in the past. Over many years, I have taken a 2008 Tundra for repainting which remains A+ condition and is an exceptionally good-looking vehicle. Paint matching was spot on. We took three other vehicles for ceramic coatings and related services including my latest 2025 Toyota Signia. A combined strong work ethic with the Colorworks Team lead by Michael’s proven shop craftsmanship and management, and leadership, Colorworks has done very well by us over some 7+ years. We will continue to take our vehicles there as required. Thanks again Michael, Chris and Team!
Very poor attention to detail. Business showed a surprising unwillingness to correct issues that they created in a way that shows pride in their product.
Took my 2021 Porsche Cayman to Colorworks Unlimited to have some damage that occurred during shipping to be repaired. When I picked up my vehicle and got it home, I noticed that there was swirl marks in the hood...not part of the work that was taking place. This required me to return to the business to have this corrected...something that should have been very easy to see under their lights when they were prepping the car for delivery. They admitted it was their fault (gave a very odd reason for it, but they fixed it none the less). Fast forward 5 months and the entire front bumper has swirl marks in the paint caused by not properly allowing the primer to cure (this was confirmed by the owner). This required me to take the car back a second time to have this corrected. To remedy this issue, they stated they would need to wet sand the clear coat and then polish the paint. When I went to pick up the car the paint was fixed but now there were new issues. Instead of removing the bumper from the vehicle they did the work with it on the car and got residue from the buffing and polishing on the black plastic in the grill and the bumper sensors. (Note: I have tried to remove this numerous times with no luck) Additionally, shortly after this I received a fault that my turn signal lamp was inoperable. Upon removing the light to check it, I noticed polish and residue from the sanding in the light and light housing. When I called the shop to ask about this they stated they left the lights on the vehicle when they did the work, so I can only surmise that will sanding and polish they damaged the light with the equipment (these were new aftermarket light that had recently been installed so I can verify they were in good working order prior to having the work done). Finally, the paint on the bumper is chipping to a degree that I will most likely have to get it repainted as it looks worse than I brought it in (November 2024 to May 2025). I will absolutely not be going back to Colorworks Unlimited.
I recently had extensive damage to my car's bumper and fender after hitting a deer and took it to Colorworks Unlimited in Toano. Michael and his team did an outstanding job fixing it. They paid great attention to detail and made sure everything was done perfectly, including matching the color. In addition to completing the repairs, they washed the car and cleaned the interior thoroughly. The best part was that they offered all this at a fair price. My son got t-boned by another driver. The driver's insurance valued my truck too low so it was totaled and there was no way I was going to be able to replace my truck with the money they were going to give me so I needed to take the salvage value and keep my truck.
I checked around at a few different body shops including colorworks unlimited. Michael there was very helpful and was able to give me the best quote on replacing the entire truck bed with a used bed. My truck is a 2005 so a used bed was the only option (other than replacing the damaged panel with a new one), and definitely more cost economical. They even did some body repair to the replacement truck bed before they painted it.
A friend brought my truck to the shop while I was out of town for an extended period of time and Michael and his team got it painted and installed. Included in his price was an $800 paint in bed liner. Before the accident, I had no bed liner and the back of my truck was a little rusted and all scratched up so it looks much nicer now. He even worked with me a little on the price so I could be within the parameters of the amount of insurance money Trexxis gave me. I pretty much broke even and didn't have to spend any money on the repairs and was able to get the nice spray in bed liner. They even vacuumed the interior of my truck.
Michael also gave me some advice on my Honda Odyssey that the paint might be too thin all the way around since it is chipping a little and that I should let him put a gauge on it and I may be able to appeal it to the Honda dealer and get my whole van repainted. I'm very thankful for that advice. He takes walk-ins on Thursdays for free estimates and will mix up a bottle of well-matched touch up paint for only $25 just by scanning your vehicle's paint.
All in all, I had a great experience and would recommend colorworks unlimited. I'm sure I will be back.
I recently caused a door dent on my husband’s car. But fortunately, my neighbor told me about Colorworks Unlimited. I took the car there and Michael gave me a detailed estimate for 2 options. He was very nice and I felt he understood my predicament. A few days later I took the car in to be repaired. When we picked it up, my husband was extremely pleased with the repair ( he is very particular about his car) and I was extremely relieved. It was so nice to deal with someone who obviously took pride in his work and treated you with courtesy and respect. Thank you again.
WOW! was all I could say when I picked up my other car after a paint refresh. I have a 1997 Ford Explorer that’s in great condition, but the paint was looking tired and dull. Michael and his employees did an excellent job, the paint got has its luster back, the black trim/parts were repainted or restored, and the chrome was polished. It reminds me of when it was new. Everyone at Colorworks Unlimited is friendly, knowledgeable and it’s obvious they take pride in their work. The owner Michael is a joy to work with, he treats your car like his own.
Had the driver side of my GTI repaired and repainted due to a side swipe. Michael and his crew did an amazing job start to finish. I was kept in the loop the whole time and any questions I had were answered. I was worried matching the paint was going to be difficult, but I was blown away at how good everything looked. I will definitely come back for any other work at this point. I have had work done before from other shops, but nothing matches the positive and helpful attitude Michael and his crew have.
Can't say enough great things about this place. Michael is great to work with, he stays very communicative during the whole process and does great work. My wife and I are very pleased with the work done and were very surprised to find the car detailed inside and out when we picked it up! Will definitely recommend to anybody we know that needs body work done.
Michael did a great job on my Porsche 911SC. He was a perfectionist on getting an exact color match for my 40 year old car. The results are outstanding!

Recently our car was hit and the passenger mirror was torn off leaving a large scrap and dent in the passenger side.
I called Mike at Colorworks and he was such a big help. After speaking to our insurance company, Mike took over letting them know the repair estimate and timeline for the repairs.
Our insurance covered a rental while we our car was being repaired, and once again Mike took care of communicating with the rental company for how long we needed to keep rental.

After being hit in a parking lot, I wanted my 2020 Highlander fixed to look like new. My daughter-in-law recommended Colorworks Unlimited and I am so glad Michael and his staff were the ones who fixed my bumper and back sensor. Michael was very helpful explaining the process, working with Nationwide and most of all....Michael had my Highlander fixed and ready for pick up as planned! The paint on my new bumper matches perfectly. The quality of workmanship is excellent. My Highlander looks terrific and his staff cleaned my car inside and out beautifully. It is so clean that I don't want to drive it and get it dirty!

Brought my fiancés 2020 civic to Mike for a front end repair, he exceeded any and every expectation I’ve ever had with any body shop, they handled everything with my insurance company and made the process very stress free. I will never use or recommend another place besides Colorworks Unlimited. His staff is on point and even detailed my vehicle prior to receiving it back. You really can’t beat it! Don’t go anywhere else for body work, painting or detailing. This place is incredible. Michael dealt with my insurance company and my 2017 Honda HRV looks brand new. No problems or delays. If you don’t check him out, you’ll end up paying the price!
Auto accidents are stressful enough. Dealing with a repair shop can also be stressful. However dealing with Colorworks Unlimited LLC/Michael Schakel was the easiest and stress free experience I’ve ever dealt with when it came to my car. I’m clueless when it comes to cars but they explained in laments terms and always kept me apprised of all the I goings with the my car repairs. They also ensured that I truly got the best service when it came to dealing with insurance adjusters and that was car was 10x in better shape than before I got into the accident. I can not say enough to describe the service I received. I would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for Mom and Pop shop top quality performance. I hope this review helps someone who needs quick and reliable service.
I just got my 2021 Supra ceramic coated with Mike at Colorworks unlimited. Don't get those dealership paint protective additive they try to sell you during the purchase. Keep that money and pay little extra and get the real ceramic coating from Colorworks. Got the car back yesterday and looks amazing. You can literally gently blow away the bead of water drop from the surface with your mouth. The car looks like its dipped in clear glass cover and so glossy. Top notch workmanship! No blemishes, overlaps, or bulges! Appreciate you guys... Keep up the great work!
Colorworks did an amazing job for me and 2012 Nissan XTERRA. I priced the job around with the large companies first in Williamsburg and then I made the trek out to Toano to get a quote. Mike was very nice and the price was comparable with the other quotes I received. My front left fender was losing paint as a result of a poor paint fix of what CU found to be gravel damage and nothing major. While they had the front end broke down I had them do the headlight restoration which looks outstanding and replace the front grill that was looking color from years of spray washes I'm sure. The part was inexpensive and able to be installed during the service. Lastly, with all the snow and Ice my drivers side window started to make crunchy noises and stopped working the day before I brought it in to CU. I didn't think they would be able to do the work but Mike indicated that they did and they knocked that out of the park too. I can't recommend Colorworks Unlimited enough !! Thank you to Mike and his team.
highly recommend over all the body shops in town. Mike was beyond helpful and excellent customer service. Once my daughter’s truck was in his shop, he took care of all the insurance claims and and was up front with any setbacks. Kept me informed on all stages of fixing the truck. I will only go to his shop going forward, hopefully not for collision repair, but for painting and detailing. Small businesses that knows how to take care of his customers. Thank you Mike!
Backed into a log in my son's driveway, destroyed the right passenger door on my 2011 DTS. America Pride referred me, and it was a terrific referral. I was thinking of paying out of pocket, and with their estimate, I decided to file an insurance claim. My insurance paid me, and I returned to Colorworks. Within two weeks the car looks better than new. Great people to work with, and I recommend Colorworks.
My 2021Lincoln Aviator was backed into and the front bumper had to be replaced. I took it to Ebbys and they screwed it up so bad all the work to to be redone. This time I took it to Colorworks and not only did they complete the rework on time, the work quality was outstanding. My entire vehicle looked great when I picked it up, not just the bumper. The price was very fair and I am very happy with the work that was performed. Will never go anywhere else for my paint and body work needs
I ordered side steps for my SUV and they were unique in that they required removing the boundary beam and part of the rear fender. Well I went to places that specializes in side steps but neither location would do my install. I then went to a dealer for my vehicle and they would not do the install either but recommended Colorworks.
I went by and spoke to an associate and he said if any one can do this install it would be Mike so I made an appointment and low and behold Mike was able to complete the install, mind you that the instructions were barely legible or understandable but Mike hung with the task and did a beautiful install. I am completely satisfied and would highly recommend Mike and Colorworks!
I brought in my 2015 Volkswagen GTI to Colorworks Unlimited after an unfortunate collision with an object on the road. Let me just highlight that Mike is here to go above and beyond for his customers. He kept me up to date with every single step of the repair and repaint process. Not only is the customer service top notch, the painting craftsmanship is also top tier. My car came out looking a lot better than it did before.

I went to ColorWorks Unlimited to get a ceramic coating put on my 2017 Toyota 4Runner. They did an outstanding job! It looks brand new, and it was really dirty when I took it in (and I am not really sure how they did it because it was sooo dirty... they are miracle workers!!!) I could not be happier with the results. They were very professional, very timely, and are very talented. I recommend ColorWorks Unlimited 100%!
Michael fixed a few paint spots on my 4Runner a few weeks ago and did an excellent job. Decided to take it back and get a ceramic coating as well which looks awesome! Also they did a great job detailing inside and out! Do your vehicle a favor and take it to Colorworks Unlimited for all your paint/detailing needs.
Mike did the ceramic coating on my 2019 Honda Accord. I could not be happier with the outcome. I wanted to wait a few months before a gave a review just to see how this ceramic coating would hold up. I am truly impressed with the coating job. I also had Mike paint a few parts on my car and they came out looking like glass. I would highly recommend Colorworks Unlimited to anyone looking to get there car painted or ceramic coated. A+ service at it's best.
Colorworks Unlimited far exceeded my expectations. My Honda recently had a complete exterior restoration at the shop. Body work and paint came out better than new. Mike came up with a custom color changing pearl that was just awesome. Work was done quickly and with attention to detail. I highly recommend!
