Steven is very helpful and does good work for a good price. Been taking cars to them for over 10 years now and they have been able to do anything I’ve asked them to.
This place has been here a long time, and I have gone to them for over 20 years. Their gas prices are the lowest in McLean, and they perform car maintenance services as well. Have had multiple cars serviced here over the years, everything from oil and lube, to batteries and brakes. They are always consientious, fair priced and considerate, as well as warning me if they see something that needs attention soon or down the road
Consistently fair, quality, affordable work. My first hand experience as a walk-in was great. The way they treat the neighbors at the retirement community who bring their vehicles in is exactly what one would hope if your own family was there - incredibly fair!
I live in NJ now, but will still schedule all of my routine maintenance here when visiting family.
Support local business! Not sure why these guys don't show up on my search. Been driving by for some time. Stoped by 8am for the best experience/service for an oil change on my prius C but you should call to confirm they have your filter and preferred oil ALWAYS. Also, took care of a nailed tire I didn't know I had. Time/money saver.
FYI service opens 8:30am, quick, affordable, professional. Highly recommend.
Very reliable and reasonably priced. One of the most honest auto repair shops in all of the DC area. It’s a father-son team who runs it. I’ve gone to them for leaks, AC repair, and other issues on multiple vehicles, and they always give you an honest opinion and decent price. Also a decently priced gas station.
Excellent service and staff !!The young man Steve was very polite in explaining and showing me thoroughly on what issue I had on my vehicle. Prices were lower than expected and the service was done in a timely matter. Will definitely come back regularly for excellent service!
Great service and mechanics you can trust. I saved $100 going to Chesterbrook Excel to replace my cracked muffler versus doing it at the shop that found it during my safety inspection.
These guys are awesome. They have always been honest with me on what needed to be done and what didn't need to be done on my cars.

I've had several repairs to an Audi and Mercedes here: starter, brakes, alternator. They are much less expensive than the dealer. They try hard to get the best parts for your money - sometimes the manufacturer, sometimes refurbished or an alternative. They do a good job.
Great service, they are honest and have amazing prices and go above and beyond for their customers. They replaced my tires for cheaper than what other places offered and then got my car inspected just because. Great employees!
Cheap gas,but lousy service otherwise. I have taken 2 of my cars here. For one the young man flat out refused to take the car and insisted there was nothing wrong with it. There was. Had it fixed elsewhere. The second time he graciously looked at the car, pronounced it good and then sent me off. Car died less than 2 hours later. Mechanic might be ok if you can get past the 20-something door keeper. Go for the gas. Go somewhere else to get your car serviced.
My car died right in front of their shop and need a new alternator. My regular mechanic in Ballston would not do the work because I was headed on a 1-week vacation and they would not keep the car. Excel was great to work with and charged me the national average cost for the work, which never happens in DC.
cheapest gas in McLean. I get my gas here when I can. They does oil change but no inspection. Their location is good. once or twice I had to go inside to get my receipts, the clerk was always politr and nice.
