From out of town and made a last minute appointment after smelling a burning odor. I called that morning to see if they could squeeze me in for a diagnostic at the least. They told me they could run it but had a lot of customers with only 1 technician for the day so couldn’t make promises on immediate repairs…. Flash forward 4 hours, they were able to do a complete rear brake overhaul: changed calipers, pads, and rotors, flushed brake fluid; they replaced my engine mount, and topped off my oil. And stayed late to finish it. All for a really good and reasonable price. Incredibly kind and honest guys. Immense thanks to Steve and crew.

So, I’m a shop newbie, as it’s the first time I have been there since it was Craftsman. IF they do as good a job for a reasonable price, and are as helpful as they were with my issue, as I expect they will, then I am team Craftsman all the way! Five stars for sure. Throw in friendliness and humor, which I have never found at another shop, count me in.

So friendly and happily explained all our car needs in a way we understood. Best auto service I’ve had in a long time!

I stopped here when my car was in really bad shape. Not only was the technician, Jackson, up front about needed repairs, he also communicated well and facilitated a speedy repair. I will definitely continue as a customer!

Friendly service, knowledgable and picked up overdue servicings that previous service providers missed. They ranked the servicings in priority which was great help. I will be back and recommend Craftmansman Auto Care to any person needing an honest mechanical service.

The service at Craftsman McLean is consistently excellent. The lounge is always clean and comfortable, and the staff are unfailingly friendly. I feel completely confident that I’m being treated fairly and never taken a advantage of. Craftsman in McLean is the only service station I trust with my car.

I brought my truck to the McLean store on Saturday late morning because I was hearing a thumping sound from the tires. Even though the shop was busy, Steve immediately took my information and made sure I was taken care of. He asked me to leave the car for inspection and even offered to drive me back, which really reflects their strong customer service. A few hours later, I received a detailed inspection report by email. I was genuinely impressed with how thorough it was, including pictures. I have never received a report like this before, and they provided it completely free of charge. The issue turned out to be minor. There was a bolt in the front passenger tire, and they patched it quickly for a very reasonable price. They also recommended future maintenance items and provided estimates, but I never felt pressured to do anything that day. Overall, it was an excellent experience. It was my first time using this shop, and I will definitely be returning from now on.

I was welcomed without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. My problem was quickly diagnosed but a part had to be ordered. Everything was competed Monday morning. The McLean location provided a friendly hometown feeling and Elliott is an excellent advisor! Thank you! Yesterday’s service was for an oil change and wiper replacement. The service included an inspection of my vehicle and a report showing the condition of various parts and systems, what is good and what to watch in the future. Had a car scare on the way to work and took a chance on a new shop! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating from beginning to end. The detailed diagnosis report was helpful. They were able to drop me at work and pick me up afterwards which was a huge benefit and made this a stress free experience. When in McLean be sure to use this shop!!

We have great respect for the McLean Craftsman Auto Care, and we plan to only use Craftsman to service our car in the future. We brought our 2020 Honda Fit to Craftsman today for a second opinion on dealer recommendations for $2,000 in repairs that required "immediate attention". I was suspicious because I had just paid the dealer for a 130-point inspection six months ago when I bought the car, and the dealer found no problems at that time. Now, six months and a 2,000 miles later, during an oil change, it did not seem likely that the dealer could find $2,000 in problems. Craftsman examined and took pictures of each item of "recommended" repairs to show that nothing needed repair, and Craftsman explained each item to us. I've read that dealers now make most of their money from "maintenance and service" so there is a lot of unnecessary "upselling". In addition, Craftsman pulled up service records on our car from Carfax to show the extensive service that our car has had, which was well earlier than suggested by the manufacturer. For example, a recommended "cooling service" had just been performed a couple of years ago, and well before recommended by the manufacturer. Here's why a high level of trust and service in especially important to us. We want a professional and trusted relationship with a qualified car repair shop because my wife and I are older, and I especially want to protect my wife in the event I pass away before her. I want her to always have the car in excellent running condition and for her to have excellent professional regular service for her car, and we believe that Craftsman is the best choice for our car. We have the highest regard for Ray Knight, the Manager, and his professional team

I am a Exclusuve Private Officer/Stuntman for the movie industry. CAC was referred to me 5 years ago by a couple in Mclean. Up to today Craftsman auto still services my cruiser. I do not trust anyone auto service but Craftsman auto service of Mclean. Steve and Ray your cool

1st customer. Had heard several good things about this service center. Had a great experience, even though it was just a state inspection. They provided great insight into some maintenance service that had been overlooked by my dealership.

My inspection work was done in a timely manner and the paperwork provided to me is complete. Staff very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. The lobby was neat and clean. A nice young man drove me home while they examined my car.

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but Craftsman Auto Care – McLean truly deserves a shoutout. One evening around 5:30 pm (they close at 6), I stopped by because I had a loud humming noise coming from my brand new tires that had just been installed by Firestone a few blocks away on Chain Bridge Road. That Firestone shop had refused to help me with the issue, so I came to Craftsman looking for an honest second opinion. Ray, the store manager, immediately offered to go on a test drive with me—even though it was only about 30 minutes before closing. He quickly identified the issue, clearly explained what was going on, and even walked me through how I should go back and address it with Firestone. He didn’t charge me anything for that assessment. It was just genuine, professional help. On top of that, Ray also helped me fix a coolant leak on my other car on a different visit, and the service was just as excellent. Jaxon has also been fantastic every time I’ve been in. He clearly knows cars inside and out and is always patient and confident when answering my questions. Between Ray’s kindness and integrity and Jaxon's deep knowledge, I feel very comfortable bringing my cars here. Craftsman Auto Care – McLean has absolutely earned my trust and my 5-star review.

My wife been taking her vehicle to craftsman auto for quite some time once I told her about my engine light in my 2019 Rangrover she asked me to take it here and have them take a look at it Vs going to the dealership so I decided to bring my car here to see what causing the engine light to come on . After dropping my car at their shop, one of the service advisor contacted me within a day to let me know what the issue Was. He was very professional very kind Explained everything in detail so I decided to let them fix what needs to be done. Today I got my car back of course the engine light is not on Car drives like before Overall, I will highly recommend craftsman auto care. They are very professional they will explain everything in detail they’re not out to get you like other places They will get 10 out of 10 from me..

I brought my car to Craftsman Auto Care in McLean for an oil change the other day. As with each of my visits to their shop, I am very pleased with their service. They identified a couple of other issues that needed addressing and the costs of their repair were reasonable. I am pleased to report that they completed all the work by the end of the same day. I also appreciate their pick up/drop off service.

I used to see an ad for this place while I was working out. I always passed by it on my way to the bank. I had some urgent business, so I stopped by today. I learned they support a Little League baseball team. They're a true and Cool small business that cares deeply about the community. They were very friendly and the service was thorough. I saw an old man come over to give them donuts. He was expressing his gratitude. I hope they stay in our neighborhood for a long time. The employee told me a wonderful story about how the kids in the Little League team photos on the wall sometimes become customers.

I am so happy and relieved to have finally found a place that truly values excellence in customer service after having a very negative experience with a previous garage. I highly recommend this place. They perform only the necessary work on your car and take the time to explain everything to you. The prices are very good. Honesty and transparency are obviously important values there, and I really appreciate that..

The guys at Craftsman are great. I bring my cars here for all of my service needs. They've accommodated my schedule, complete work in a timely manner, and are generally clear about what to expect when I bring my car in. They're always helpful and honest - never pushing services or repairs that aren't necessary. I'm particularly appreciate of this as so many other shops tend to try to take advantage of women by pushing unnecessary repairs, etc.

We had a flat tire and came here to change it in, and then we came back again for maintenance. The overall service was pretty good, and they also offered some snacks and coffee while customers were waiting. Flat tire was like $200ish to change a tire, and maintenance was like $100ish to change oil. Not sure if this was the best price in the market, but considering the service, probably it’s a good option around this neighborhood.
