If redeeming Giant Food Rewards here, be careful and vigilant. When I did so, the pump price did not drop as is the case at every other Shell where I have redeemed points. The cashier claimed I had to pay cash to redeem them. Again, never happened before, giving me the impression of skimming.

Brought both of my cars here for inspections, super quick service and knowledgeable staff, will be my go to repair shop moving forward.

Avoid this shop entirely. I brought my car in for a state inspection and they failed it and tried to shove nearly $3,000 in bogus repairs at me. The moment I said I couldn’t afford it, Remy magically cut $850 off the price — a clear sign the whole thing was a scam. Not only that, before seeing the inspection report, I asked if it all needed to be done to pass, to which Remy said yes. Once I finally got the inspection report and had a chance to review at home, the only real issues were relatively minor. Everything else they pushed was fabricated or wildly inflated: • Offered to “replace my taillight for free” if I did the work right then and there — it cost $3 and took me 20 seconds to change. • Quoted $480 for left and right valve cover gaskets even though my 4-cylinder only has one. • Quoted $300+ for a rack boot which I replaced at home for $30, some elbow grease, and an hour of my time. • Quoted $700 for pads and rotors — Brake Squad came to my house and did it in my driveway for under $600. • $189 for my drum brakes that “needed adjusting” — I checked them myself and they were perfectly fine, and the lugs were so tight, honestly I don’t think they even took the wheel off. • Quoted $600+ for power steering line replacements claiming there were leaks. All that was required was a new $5 clip and $5 worth of fluid to top off. This place clearly tried to upsell bogus work. Dishonest, predatory, and not to be trusted. I won’t be back. Do your research, get second opinions, and don’t fall for their scare tactics.

This shell station did an outstanding job of helping me out with my car. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. They are very professional and honest.

Went for my VA inspection, first time as I just moved here and it was quick and efficient with no unnecessary fixes being quoted. Michael R was quick and courteous and even reminded me to get my emissions done since I had out of state plates. If you can, go here and you'll have no issues, earlier reviews did scare me off but glad I went.

I can’t say I went into this with high hopes. Groupon + gas station oil change just seemed like a recipe for a bad time. But I was so wrong! The mechanic was super nice, didn’t try to upsell me, and got it done in the timeframe he told me he would. They had a couple benches in their outdoor waiting area and while they were under a roof, they weren’t super protected from the cold wind.

Visited here for oil change with Groupon coupon. Friendly place. Recommend this place. (Manager gave few suggestions to consider, but they were not forcing me like other places to opt for other services)

Jose was absolutely wonderful! He immediately assisted me, checked my car and gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend stopping here for your car service needs. There's nothing better than excellent service with a smile !

Jose worked on our daughter’s “new” used car when it didn’t pass its initial inspection. He thoroughly explained what the problems were and why they needed to be fixed. Then made time to get those repairs done quickly. His expert knowledge for Mini Cooper’s from his past work experience made it easier to trust that he knew what to do.

For virginia state inspection netpick extra things in order to drum up business . Handed me a 1400 bill and said they could do it for more like 1000 if I did it right away . Bought the part and did it myself for 40 dollars... they are definitely looking to hit a home run on every job.

the initial inspection went great. inspector was nice and personable. however, he said I needed to lube a hood spring and fix an indicator light to pass. upon return, I was told that I would have to wait in a 3 hour long line just to look at those 2 items that would take 2 minutes to look at and 3 mins for a sticker, tops. even big name shops have not had me do that in the past for a quick reinspection of the tagged items. terrible customer service in my opinion.

Jose & his team was fantastic! I’ve had some really bad experiences at local auto shops in the area and they really helped to rebuild my faith! Their prices were reasonable and the customer service excellent! I’m so happy I found them!

For over 20 yrs we’ve had outstanding, reliable, and reasonably priced service. Today’s State Inspection by Mike and Remi was fast, friendly and a sign these guys value their clients. Keep up the great work!!

Wait for inspection 3 hours. Find out needs to replace 1 bulb tryed to charge me 100$ for diagnostic and 80$ for price! Bad service, trying to up charge you for small things a lot! Don’t recommend come here if you don’t want to waste your time and money.

I got a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change. It took an hour, and I had to wait outside in the rain because the manager wouldn’t let me stay inside. When I checked, they were just chatting instead of working. I also suspect they used synthetic oil instead of full synthetic, as the receipt said “synthetic,” and other reviews mentioned the same issue. Not worth saving $40—slow service and rude attitude.

I would like to highly recommend working with the mechanic shop manager, Ms. Alexis G., who is very professional, straightforward, and has excellent customer care skill. I had two cars that needed repairs after her mechanics completed identified each issue. Ms. Alexis patiently listened to me, described each issue and correctly recommended on what to repair, why, when and for how much.

I would rate this repair shop 10 stars if it would given me the option. Alexis is simply amazing. She is exceptional, super helpful, professional and went above and beyond assisting me with my car issues. Overall, Entire team is great , friendly and an honest guys. Took my car there three times and never got dissapointed. Every time have done quick and quality job.

Review for state inspection- waited in line for at least 35 mins sat morning 6/22/2024. Car previously failed inspection at a different shop last year for tires, parking break, and some lightbulbs out all fixed. Finally got everything fixed & went back to get reinspected and this guy tells me because I have cosmetic damage to my front bumper, He's automatically going to have to fail it. To my knowledge, there's definitely NO part of the VA inspection that says your car has to be pretty. I reviewed the VA safety standards and posted them here. I said eat a dique and took it to the Exxon in Great Falls across from cars and coffee. It passed there in under five minutes. Go there.

I was there for inspection and there was two cars in front of me and it took about 55 minutes waiting for states inspection. There’s no place to seat while waiting for inspection to be done and little pay area that’s is filled with candles and soda that you can’t even breath inside there.

Gabe hooked me up for sure, I was in a pinch and needed to travel. Gabe was more than awesome with hooking me up with oil change and complete check up on my little suv. Will be bringing all my work here for sure. Again very professional and was happy with the work and the professionalism.

In general I have no complaints about Sugerland Shell. I go here routinely for my inspections and feel they do an honest inspection. I even came to get something reinspected and although I’d gotten in line before closing they expected the cars in front of me to take them past closing. I explained I was trying to get a reinspection and they took me too. Only complaint is if the inspector finds something the store manager then offers you a quote to fix it. That quote is probably quite high. Mine was almost $150 for something that I resolved for under $30. I don’t fault them for that. It’s instant resolution to your issue, but it’s costly.

Got charged $80 for conventional oil change and was told the advertised price of $29.95 on the sign in the pic below is only for the labor and did not include the oil. Just a heads up for anyone else who sees the sign and thinks it’s a good deal.

I came here today to check on my skid plate which was damaged by Community Towing Service company. It was hanging and they immediately took care of it for me with sincere genuine care and comfort. The new Manager Max & Technician Reid & Tech Marvin are very professional, very helpful and very effective in what they do. They are very hands on, exvellent customer services and make it ease for your car repair without ripping you off. Definitely will come back!

Though convenient off of route 7, getting in and out from the parking lot is much less than convenient. Added by such a small number of fuel pumps and prices that are on par with nearby competition, it makes more sense to simply go down the road to other larger and more accessible stations. However, this station does also offer inspection services for those searching for a convenient location for this service.
