Not honest. Took advantage of my son and called what I sent him with something it wasn't and aggressively underpaid him. We will no longer bring any scrap to this business.
This place is very user friendly especially if you keep your metals sorted as I do , as far as pricing you have to call but this place is super straightforward and easy to deal with
Went to the location in Chester with copper cable. Paid me $3 a lb for 75lbs. Came back a free days later with same material. Waited for me to unload 800lbs of it on the scale and then tried to offer me .60¢ a lb. Bad business.
I just went there today for the second time. They've moved into a new building w/ new scales. I read some of these reviews and was a bit concerned, so I weighed my containers empty and full before going. My #s matched theirs exactly, and I got the price they quoted me on the phone. No funny business here!
Place is a rip off. Recently had two small nuts on about 250-300 worth of aluminum
That they were calling dirty. Been there 4 times and got robbed 3 times. Don’t take anything here. They take forever, and you don’t know it’s dirty until the hand you the ticket. STAY AWAY!!!
$12 for a washer AND dryer? I feel like I could have taken my business elsewhere but that’s crap. I guess this place is only good if you have a trailer full or items to scrap! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Yes I brought a load of steel in and they only gave me three cents which they told me 5 cents on the phone they ripped me off 25 bucks. I go to Potomac metals take the same weight and got $65
Brought multiple compressors and copper. One compressor weight is 225lb and I had 4 others weighing atleast 50lb a piece or more. Weighed it and gave me 150lb in compressors. Then brought a whole roll of copper tubing. Never been installed and was told it was type two and gave me type two prices for it. Never will return to this scrap yard.
Never in my life will I ever take my scrap metal there again. First off I put 4 stainless steel handles, 2 stainless faucets the big kitchen ones and 4 stainless steel hoses on there scale and it didn't move stayed on zero!!!!! In what world is that possible? I can tell it was over 5 lbs of not 10. Then I had probably 30 aluminum door screens from screen doors they only weighed 33 lbs and he classified it as irony aluminum??? They were clean aluminum not even painted. Then last part is they took my fridge a steel wood stove and a ton of other scrap steel and put it in a loader bucket and said it was 500 lbs, I do this as part of my business, scrapping metal is one of my actual companies I'm not a weekend scrapper so when my truck has a certain amount of weight I can kind of tell when it's over 7-800 lbs but I am not worried about that as much. So I was told to keep all the stainless and the 8 insulated copper cords and clean copper from a AC and fridge because none of it weighed a pound?!?!? What a scam there running, so I tried to address it with the kid at the window paying me out saying I had clean aluminum and there scale was definitely not right because it didn't even register all of the stainless and cords and he literally didn't say a word, handed me a measly 46 dollars and that was it !!! Oh yeah to put it into perspective my truck and trailer were both slam packed . Lost any future business for sure. Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off...
Gave me $8 for a washer, two motorcycle exhausts, car resonator, and a reversing valve off a heat pump. Guy in trailer said they’d be weighed separately. Kid running dozer clumped it all together. Won’t do business again.
