Auto America Service has been gods sent to us. The service, the shop waiting area, customer service and their managers Jose and his team Alex and Douglas provided the most amazing service. They have great technology and grade the services our car needed color coded. We didn't feel rush or pressure to do any service, it was amazing. The car repairs done timely. Great and reliable place.
I came in after my car died while driving and accepted an ~$800 alternator quote. After that, they aggressively pushed thousands in additional “urgent” repairs that weren’t actually necessary.
They theatrically “jumped” my car and claimed my battery was completely dead and that I’d need another jump if I turned it off at any point to still try to upsell me, this was false. My key fob worked beforehand, and the car restarted fine and held a healthy 14.7V after sitting for hours so if I would've listened to them I would have been buying things I did not need as opposed to the exact thing I needed initially.
Felt more like a sales performance than an honest repair shop. I won’t be returning.
The best service I've gotten from a mechanic; I came in for a simple oil change and the technician personally showed me other issues they discovered while the car was in the air. Fair pricing and very transparent; will absolutely be going here again.

Pretty facility comfortable for you to work on your computer and they have a couple portable stands for it and coffee and water. Front desk is very nice and state inspection and emission process is good. They have a window to see work being done on your car and about 8 car stalls. Would recommend.
I brought my car in back in July due to a warning light. The shop claimed to have fixed the issue and charged me over $1,000 to replace a part they believed was the cause.
However, the warning light came back after just one drive, clearly indicating the real problem wasn’t resolved. Later, the actual root cause was finally identified — but now the shop is refusing to accept CarMax’s warranty labor rate, even though I chose this shop through the CarMax app, expecting it to be a trusted partner. Instead, they are trying to make me pay the difference, which is incredibly greedy and unprofessional.
Despite their misdiagnosis and months of delay, they’ve shown no apology or accountability. I’ve been waiting over a month, made repeated phone calls, and still haven’t received a timely or responsible response. They keep promising to call back — like they did today — but never follow through. This has caused major inconvenience, wasted my time and money, and my car is still not fixed.
Worst of all, during a previous visit, they even left a battery inside my car — completely careless and potentially dangerous.
If you expect clear pricing, professional service, and fair treatment, I do not recommend this shop. They won’t treat you fairly — and they certainly won’t take responsibility for their mistakes.
I’ve been to several Auto shops in the DMV with mixed experiences. But this one was definitely the most friendly one I’ve been to in the DMV area. Got my wheels aligned and the steering wheel centred at a very decent price. Doug was warmhearted, friendly, polite and patiently explaining everything. Just as were all other team members I encountered. This is an exemplary independent place to have your car maintained and I would absolutely recommend.

Exceptional customer service and affordable pricing. The staff is knowledgeable, accommodating , friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to address my concerns, they were honest, upfront and informative throughout the process of my car repairs. Not only do they provide pictures of your vehicle with explanations; they talk with you face to face to make sure you understand what's going on. The pricing is upfront and you choose what needs to be done based on their recommendations. Recommendations are categorized as immediate, urgent and routine. Additionally they have 10% military discount. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. Alex Agueta was my service advisor and Jose Bonilla, the service manager were both involved in relaying information (with photos) to me. They were truly outstanding!!! I have never had such a positive experience in an auto service center, this why I will only go to Auto America from now on for ALL my auto needs. Side note- I've owned 11 vehicles and am a 55yo male so I've had a lot of experience with car repairs.
I've been coming to Auto America for the past few years and can't recommend this place enough. The staff, from the front office to the mechanics, are very friendly and always seem genuine about what type of maintenance and repairs my car needs. They seemingly have low turnover, and it's the same staff that are consistently there. I trust their guidance and their suggestions. After visiting countless auto service chains, I am so glad that a place like this exists locally.

I’ve been taking my vehicle to this shop now for almost 3 years. Alex does a great job explaining what type of maintenance needs to be done. He’s a friendly, honest and a good service advisor, hard to find nowadays. The facility is neat and clean, and there’s WiFi in the waiting room, coffee. Everyone from the cashier to the mechanics are super professional. Every single person I’ve recommended to Auto America, for their automotive needs, they were satisfied. I plan to take my vehicle for all maintenance needs. Trust me, this shop will not disappoint.
Very friendly and informative staff. Came in to install wheels and tires. They got me in and out. They made sure I was satisfied. I will be coming back for routine maintenance.
*Update and rating change - this past week (Dec 6th, 2024) I began looking at quotes for headlight replacements and am so disappointed to receive a ridiculous quote over double the price what another mechanic was able to quote. The parts are around $280 for higher-end and the job should maximum take less than 2 hours. I was quoted $888 for non-HID and a whopping $1588 for HID! What made me the most disappointed was the technician telling me the headlight assemblies are hard to come by. I tried challenging him on this and he started talking about doing one assembly replacement at a time to offset costs and reiterating they are difficult to obtain. They absolutely are not, even by a quick google, eBay, and online parts search, and now I’ve lost trust in this shop for trying to make me think that. Trust is everything and I think I’m done recommending them.*
Last year I posted in a community forum asking for mechanic recommendations as the one I was going to was not only several miles away, which obviously adds up in Uber fees to/from the shop, the mechanic seemed annoyed and somewhat condescending at my asking questions to understand the priority and technical breakdown of expensive repairs he’d recommend. Auto America came up multiple times in the replies to the community post I made and isn’t too far from me, so I thought I’d give them a try.
It’s now been about a year and a half taking my car to them for everything from routine oil changes, a battery replacement, to more expensive and complex repairs and I continue to be glad they were recommended on my post. Alex is patient and professional, and most importantly, understands I want to understand why certain recommendations are made, and that I’m on a budget, and he always takes time to explain what they’re doing, what’s a priority, takes pictures of the work, asks if I have further questions, and just really communicates kindly and knowledgeably. Their online portal to see the mechanic notes, pictures of the car upon receiving along with any problems to be worked on is also something that distinguishes them IMO. They don’t just tell, the shop backs up what they’re saying by showing and keeping a record of pictures and work authorizations. They’ve consistently honored the warranties for work done and parts installed and I don’t take for granted being able to rely on Auto America after years of having that sinking feeling I wasn’t receiving honest and respectful service at various dealerships or independent mechanics. Now I know where to go instead. The waiting area has been very clean every time I’ve waited for diagnostics or more simple repairs and I’ve had no problems with early morning drop-off’s before work for stuff that’s more time consuming. In these cases Alex (and other staff when he’s not there) are fantastic at emailing and calling during the day with progress reports, so I can pick up my vehicle as quickly as possible.
I’ve actually been thinking what to say in this review for awhile as I want people to know there’s still fair places out there who build relationships with their customers and deserve credit for showing up for people and doing right by them. Genuinely recommend Auto America and thank their whole team!

Excellent customer service/communication, prompt servicing and completed in less than the time frame expected. Building and office were clean and despite a packed lot, they got me in. I had a wheelbearing replaced and feel the price was reasonable considering I was from out of town and needed it quickly done to get back home. Work done has a 2yr/24k mile warranty. They followed up with me about 6 months later to ensure all was still satisfactory. I'm considering coming back to them for any future work, despite being 300+ miles away.
On May 2nd, I got my oil changed for my '23 Camry. I was pleasantly surprised by the company, and all the workers were so nice and knowledgeable super professional. I'm very impressed! I'm extremely glad I found this place. I forgot to leave a comment that day, but today I remembered and wanted to leave some positive feedback. I highly recommend this place. I've been to lots of different places for oil changes, but I've never seen one as good as this. Also, please convey my thanks to Alex.
My husband and I have been bringing our vehicles (Acura, Hyundai, Tesla) here for >10 years. Jose and the rest of the team are always amazing to work with. Excellent communication, service, and prices - very fair and fast! Cars are always ready when they say they will be, and their attention to detail is amazing and appreciated. Truly no complaints over the decade we’ve been customers.

My experience with Auto America Service was unmatched! it has to be the best auto service that I’ve had in years! Alex my technician was awesome! He provided options for me, which was not done with the precious three auto shops that I took my vehicle to for service. He kept me abreast of all necessary maintenance outside of what I requested. He provided several options on how to repair my vehicle and worked with me on completing the repairs. He answered my many, many questions and was not annoyed that i had so many! I was also impressed with the pictures and videos provided of the service that was needed and completed along the way. I love the after hours drop box and pick up. this was a very convenient service as I work late hours and had to use Lyft to get to my vehicle. I also love the pay option, which allowed me to pay by CC so that I can pick up after hours. My vehicle is back on the road and I could not have asked for better service. She still makes a little noise, but she’s getting me from points A to B! Thanks to you Alex and the team of mechanics that worked on my vehicle! …And to the receptionist that assisted me. I have already referred several people to your business.
I have brought my car to Auto America many years ago for engine repairs and they've always done a great job. This time, I had some electrical issues, which they were able to find parts, which was amazing because my car is pretty old, 2003, and they were able to get me serious discounts on the price. Although they have always impressed me with their professionalism and their service in the past, I will still surprised at what a great job they did with my electrical issues. I would highly recommend this place the service any issues you may have with your car.
Been getting my car maintenance from Auto America since 2018 and haven’t looked back! They’ve been amazing in communicating the services they recommend and why it’s important to keep your car maintained. I drive an older car so having a shop I can trust has been a game changer. They were also great when I got into a minor car accident and had to go through insurance.

While I only visited once to have my car fixed after it wouldn't start, they really helped me during a disastrous car issue I was battling over with my dealership. I had to have my car towed to their shop, but they were very accommodating in allowing me to drop it off anytime. Alex specifically worked on my car and was great in communicating what issues he found and how he would proceed with fixing it. My car is thankfully back up and running thanks to him, and they were kind enough to let me go free of charge. Overall, I am so thankful for their help and wished I lived closer to their shop!
This shop is incredible. I’ve never been to a shop this clean, orderly, professional and customer friendly. I went for an oil change for my BMW. They were quick and the waiting area is super nice. Better than most dealership waiting rooms. After completing my oil change, Alex took his time to show me other issues with my car. He didn’t pressure me into repairs and ranked them all in priority. Although I declined the repairs at this time (selling car), he provided a print-out of the potential repairs and the estimated cost. This shop has exceptional service and Alex is a prime example of how you retain customers. As long as I’m in the area, this will be my go-to shop!
