seriously one of the best/easiest experiences i've had with car servicing. I went for my annual check-up and left with an oil change and tires rotated. The overall experience was fantastic. These guys are extremely organized, proactive, insightful, knowledgeable -- and they don't push any services on you. They have a convenient, easy way to communicate with customers, they're thorough, they're quick and they're very well priced. Auto Stop Arlington is the best! They go above and beyond to explain what is going on with your vehicle and are transparent about the whole service and repair process. Their techs are knowledgeable and extremely helpful, and although I've been in there recently with my vehicles (and my sons' vehicles) more than I'd prefer, I really enjoy working with them. When my out-of-town older son's truck acted up on his trip here, I told him this is the place to go to, and they took amazing care of him. I've recommended them several times to friends and have friends that have used them for a decade. I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of despite a minimal knowledge about vehicles, and they remember me when I call. It's the first auto shop I have truly felt good about going to.
I never had better service than the one I have in Auto Stop Imel, Erika and Lucas are the best, (well of course with the great team of mechanics). But the customer service is the first contact you have and there is were this 3 amazing persons help me out every single time I called they work with my car. And develop a plan and give me all my options to fix my car and keep it running. In top of that I’d need to be there more than expected they help me out with that. Besides the great service in all the aspects they also have affordable prices, if you have extended warranty they do the arrangements, they have a lot of different services like tires, oil changes, inspection among other things. I can say. My experience with them is A+. Thank you Guys!!!!!

My experience was outstanding! Immel, the Customer Service Advisor was courteous and very competent. They did a wonderful job fixing my car door knob & getting my car inspected. It was wonderful to have him set up for Lyft to drive me home after I dropped the car off. When everything was ready, I paid over the phone, and then Immel arranged to have my car dropped off where I live. Wow! Great service. Will definitely be coming back!
Take Your Jeep Here! I first took my 2021 Jeep Gladiator to another shop nearby that had good reviews, but they misdiagnosed the problem and quoted me thousands of dollars for work that didn’t actually need to be done.
After calling around, I spoke with Lucas at Auto Stop and brought it in. They quickly figured out the real issue — just the brake vacuum — and fixed it without all the extra, unnecessary repairs. With a clear understanding of what was being done.
Erika and the team were incredibly kind and even remembered us by name. Because they were honest and fair, we were even able to get more major, important maintenance done (that could have waited longer) and still keep everything under budget.

Made the trip from DC to come here because a friend recommended them - honestly a fantastic experience. Super friendly and professional, they paid for a ride for me to and from my house, fair pricing, and even sent me on my way with a goodie back of snacks and a tennis ball for my dog. Overall a really thoughtful experience with great staff!
Don’t know how trustworthy this place is. I asked how much it cost for a simple battery change. Explained to the mechanic I bought the battery and don’t require programming, he quoted me $195 just for the labor cost. The week before I went there and one of the mechanic quoted me $30.
I guess some of their mechanics has the ability to up-charge whenever they want.
Excellent service & honest staff – my repair ended up costing $500 less than the estimate. In addition, I was refunded for two spark plugs. It’s a small matter, but I would never have known I was charged for them had the office staff not thoroughly explained the bill.
Customer service was Top-tier. They were able to get me in and out. I called last minute with a tire issue and was able to run up there on my lunch break wasn’t there longer than 10 minutes. Highly recommend!

My service advisor Immel was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and flexible—he really took the time to explain my options and tailor his recommendations to fit my budget. Erika and Lucas were also wonderful—friendly, efficient, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish!
I went in for two trailer tires. I didn't have an appointment. The clerk found me some tires and 15 mins later I was out the door with new tires. Very happy.
I recently moved to Virginia and needed state inspections. Auto Stop was responsive when I was checking on the ETA for my vehicle and provided me all the requisite paperwork to register my vehicle at DMV. They even gave me a goodie bag of treats and didn't try to sell me anything extra.
I had such a great experience at this shop. I went in for a balance and tire alignment and not only did they perform the service well, but they also performed a multi-point check on my car that detected a problem on my vehicle. They informed me that since I was still under warranty, it’s likely that my dealership would fix the problem for $0. The issue would have cost me more than $700 to fix , but because of their diligence, I was able to get it done for free! Truly appreciate the folks here and will definitely be back for future service needs. P.S. - the snack goodie bags are a nice touch
This has been my go to place for years. They always treat me well, do not try to strong arm you into unnecessary repairs. Really responsive. Cannot think of enough good things to say about them. When my car battery died, they picked it up from my house to check out the car. When the repair was determined to be electrical, they suggested another shop and didn't charge me for the service.
One of the few car servicing shops you don’t feel like are actively trying to take advantage of you. Service is always on time and friendly. Have been going for years and continue to recommend to my friends and family.
Omg I have never had better car service! Erika and Lucas took amazing care of me and my little Mariposa (2013 Honda Fit). They fit me in so quickly, had great customer service, and were incredibly professional. I will be going here for everything from now on!
Following my previous post, a posting critical of customer service at the Arlington facility, Mr. Dave Edwards, Auto Stop owner / proprietor called me directly. My experience at the Arlington Auto Stop was my introduction to the franchise. Here in the NCR on military orders, I initiated the interaction with the service station to remedy a specific concern related to follow-up maintenance needed immediately after work being completed at home several hours away. That work led to additional, unexpected service. When my expectations were not met, and I wrote of my criticisms, it struck a cord with Mr. Edwards. We spoke at length, he voiced intensive and sincere empathy about my experience. Having been a previous micro-business owner for over 20 years myself, Mr. Edwards and I could speak the same language about business practices on a variety of levels. He was serious about his facilities doing the right thing, doing the best things consistently. Mr. Edwards went above and beyond in meeting me where I was at, and sharing his support in enabling my willingness to returning to Auto Stop as a customer. It speaks to his entrepreneurial spirit that he could put the brakes on a negative situation (pun intended if you choose), and reverse the trend of avoidance on my part to make me feel welcome again at his facility. I will keep Auto Stop, Arlington as a go to consideration for my future automotive requirements!
Oh my gosh, what amazing people. They fixed my car key fob in five minutes with such kindness and phenomenal customer service. They took the time to teach me how to get out the key and pry the fob case open myself properly (without breaking it, which had been my fear!) in case it had issues again in the future. I can't recommend them enough.
Best mechanic experience I've ever had. They were honest and transparent, and I felt like they just wanted the best for me and the car the entire time. They took the effort to inspect it thoroughly for a cross country drive and I really can't say enough good things. Solid pricing too. 10/10 recommend!

Everyone in Auto Shop is great specially Ms. Erica she is awesome, always her greetings made us comfortable, results and test on our car is clear and supporting with videos and photos about what we need to do or what they did on our vehicle, if we don’t had car to back at work or home always we received a ride. I was taken care of by easily the best crew I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the moment I walked in I thought Immel owned the place. I thought he was Tom. Just the way he treated me and acted with care and confidence.
I really don't know that I'll trust another shop after the level of service I received here. They even sourced a part just to try a cheaper fix to see if it would work, instead of pressuring me into just going for the full service, cutting my bill from around $2500 to $1100, inspection included.
They do great work and give an honest opinion about what is emergent and what can wait until later. When my 12 year old car needed a lot of work they were honest to say they thought it was time for a new car instead of investing so much into it at this stage. I’ve been impressed by their helpfulness and integrity. They always get the work done on time and keep me informed. I’ve been a customer for years!
This is hands down the best auto repair shop I’ve been to! I’ve taken my car here a couple of times, starting with a diagnostic evaluation. They provided detailed pictures and videos of the needed repairs, which was super helpful. Both Immel and Geo were amazing—they took the time to explain what needed immediate attention and delivered top-notch customer service. I highly recommend this shop to everyone. From now on, this is the only place I’ll be going for repairs!

They are truly a customer-focused business, and go above-and beyond in terms of caring for your car, but treating the customer with top-notch customer service. Every mechanic, owner, and member of their staff is well-informed AND informative to the customer. They are polite, professional, and empathetic to customer needs.

I called Auto Stop regarding my 2017 Mercedes C300 to address engine noise and to replace a shattered rear quarter window (I was burglarized). I initially spoke with Erika, who was very helpful and polite. She then transferred me to Immel, who assisted with my insurance and even took the necessary pictures to submit to my insurance company, so I didn't have to return to the shop. Unfortunately, my insurance company offered a low settlement, so I decided not to use it.
Immel reached out later the same day I dropped off the car and informed me that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Instead of unnecessarily replacing parts, he provided an affordable fix for the engine noise, which has made a significant improvement. For the window replacement, he coordinated with a company they use and ordered the part directly from Mercedes. Although the car was in the shop for just under a week, Immel arranged for a loaner car at no extra charge, which was a huge relief since I wasn’t using my insurance.
Additionally, Immel saved me money by salvaging one of my car parts instead of replacing it. When I returned the loaner and picked up my car today, it was quiet and had the OEM window installed. They even cleaned up the broken glass from the interior. Erika was professional and polite once again at checkout and even offered me a goody bag!
I will be bringing my Benz to Auto Stop for all future maintenance and repairs. I highly recommend this shop to anyone with automotive troubles or maintenance needs, especially for German cars. Their honesty and professionalism are unmatched, and I haven’t found another shop in the area with a comparable level of service.
