I’m not one to go out of my way to write a bad review, but I found my experience with this auto shop to be particularly bad and want to make people aware of what they will potentially be dealing with. I was having problems with my battery, so I took my car here. They told me I needed a new battery. First of all, the price they wanted to charge me for the battery was significantly higher than anything I could find online, so I asked them to find a cheaper one. They did so, and I chalked that up to not being a car guy and the fact that after all, the shop does need to make money, which I understand. My understanding is that it’s pretty standard for the diagnosis fee to be applied to repairs across many auto shops, and this shop advertises that right on their wall. It was one of the reasons I chose to give them my business. So when I saw the diagnostic fee not applied whatsoever to my final bill (400+ for them to change a battery), I asked them why. I got “oh I can do a $70 discount”, as if they were doing me a favor. I told them that they advertise applying the diagnosis fee towards the total bill, to which they said “that is not true”, and I told them it’s right on their wall, which apparently the guy on the phone wasn’t aware of. I ended up getting to talk to the “manager”, who was pretty argumentative with me, and also tried to deny the existence of the advertisement. When I told him that I saw it with my own two eyes, he then tried to debate me on the definition of “advertising”. He then said that the policy of applying the diagnostic fee towards the bill only applies for bills over either 1k or 10k (can’t remember which it was). Whatever, I just wanted to be done with them at this point, so I took the $70 discount and moved on with my life. Or so I thought. I recently went to get in my car after letting it sit for a few days only for it to not start up (the original problem I took my car into this shop for). It was dead dead, couldn’t even be jumped. I eventually called triple A, and they got it to start with their power jumper. I got a battery test done, and although the battery was fine, there is apparently an issue with the charging system. It sucks, but because of my original experience with this shop, I can’t help but wonder if this was the issue from the start.. but obviously, I can’t say so for sure, so take it with a grain of salt. I will say, the mechanics and desk workers themselves were quite friendly, but the manager was more interested in debating me than honoring what’s on his own wall. Not a great experience overall.

Took my Infiniti in for an oil change and battery swap, they did a great job and the price was super reasonable. Came back with another issue, and even though it couldn’t get fixed that time, they really handled it professionally and treated me right. Later brought in my Tesla and they helped me out again, no hassle. Just good people who care about their work and the community, highly recommend.

I never had this bad experience with car workshop .They charged $983 dollars for ac compressor replacement for 2014 Cruze LT .In it they charged 510 dollars for labor.Sad part when I checked while taking delivery, found my car AC is not working still. When I told them they totally ignored and gave lot of flaky advice which was totally worthless .They were very rude and even broke my car key .When I asked them they fixed it and even denied they did not do anything 1st .I left the place with bad experience and felt I wasted my $983 dollars .I will never go there .Be careful before going such kind of place.I gave proper scenerio and actual presentation ,they are trying now to be nice but actually not .Manager rudely said leave from the spot while I paid 983 dollars few minute’s earlier.Manager is a rude person.if audited it will be clear to all. They don’t have right to disrespectful to clients.

Joseph and Mohammad to the rescue! Not only did they provide me with exceptional customer service, they managed to save the day and replace my flat tire with a brand new one in under one hour. 10/10 service - would highly recommend visiting their shop for any of your needs!

I am very impressed with E&D. They seem to do an excellent job without over charging. Also, they tell you the problem on the spot. Both times I used them for a steering and alternator problems, the problems were solved within 2 hours.

“I had trouble finding any open auto shops after 5 PM, but thankfully this place was still open. They fixed my car without any hassle. I also inquired about another vehicle needing a transmission, and the staff assured me they handle engine and transmission swaps with a guarantee. The office guy was great—friendly, knowledgeable… and clearly working hard (maybe too hard to get a haircut ).”

Scheduled an appt and dropped off my car at noon. I asked a time frame but wasn’t given one was just told I’d receive a call before any work would be done. Received a call at 3:45 stating that the quote was sent and that a cylinder is misfiring which I knew from getting it diagnosed for free at auto zone - they then quoted me a price of $3600 to replace all 6 spark plugs, 6 fuel injectors, 6 ignition coils. I asked them to just quote me for the one misfiring and received at $646 quote for the one fuel injector and labor. They then replaced the fuel injector and it was still misfiring so they took it out and said they would only charge me a $135 diagnostic fee. They then said the engine is bad and the camshaft and rocker arm need replacing or it needs a new engine - my jeep is 11 years old and has 130k miles on it so it’s possible but they didn’t provide a quote for this. I asked for proof of this or data from testing and they said it was a visual test done. 8 hours and $135 later and I still need a second opinion.

I was researching places that could repair our accessible wheelchair van. The battery kept draining every few days and our dealership replaced it and it was still happening. I saw very good reviews for E&D so we took our Hondas Odessey there. The owner, Emaelaf, was very friendly and helpful. After a few days, it was fixed. He was able to repair a complicated problem! We are very thankful for his professional service and highly recommend this business! Thank you again!

Asked to come in for a diagnostic test for my car. I asked if I could wait he said no, then said hold on one second and then came back and said “you have to find somewhere else” . It’s not that serious boss, I could’ve taken a Uber home. Good thing I found a place that was more than accommodating. Do better

I was told by a well known car maintenance company ( Mavis) that I didn’t need brakes-all is well. So I travel to Virginia from Georgia and I kept hearing the scraping noise when I applied the brakes. I was concerned so when I arrived in Virginia I passed E&D International and decided to make an appointment on Sunday evening. Monday at 08:00 I was able to get in. It’s a small repair shop and it has very little parking, so you have to be careful when turning into the shop. I usually read reviews but I took a chance. Turns out I did need brake pads and I decided to get the rotors as well. 2 hours later I was on the road again. I would like to thank everyone at the shop, It was a pleasant experience and I was able to complete my book while I waited.

Exceptional customer service. Kind, personable, and trustworthy. I came in for a safety inspection and for help mounting a license plate. 1. The job was done quickly 2. They charged me a more-than-reasonable price 3. They buffed out some scratches on my car free of charge without asking and 4. They let my separation anxiety-ridden dog come in the store while i paid. They even gave him treats. Will be coming back for all of my car needs moving forward.

I had a radiator problem, and this shop took care of it quickly and professionally. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything clearly. They diagnosed the issue, provided a fair estimate, and got my car back on the road in no time. The quality of their work was top-notch, and I appreciate their honesty and efficiency. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of reliable car repairs.

*Extremely Disappointing Experience – Stay Away* I had a terrible experience with E&D International Auto Repair in Washington D.C. On April 19th, 2024, I was driving from Ohio to Washington D.C. to pick up my parents. Unfortunately, my SUV broke down at around 9 PM. Since I needed to return home urgently to my pregnant wife — who was due to deliver in a week — I looked for nearby auto repair shops that were open 24/7. I found E&D International Auto Repair and, based on their reviews, decided to call them. The mechanic assured me he could fix the issue right away, depending on part availability. He even provided a towing contact, which initially seemed helpful. This is where things went downhill: 1. Unprofessional Mechanic: When we arrived at the shop around 11 PM, the lights were on, and the door was open, but the mechanic was nowhere to be found. After repeatedly calling him, he finally answered and told me he was at a party — incredibly unprofessional given the circumstances. 2. Towing Scam: The towing service demanded $350 instead of the agreed-upon $150 and threatened to report my vehicle as involved in an accident if I didn’t pay. While E&D claimed this towing service was a third party, it seemed suspiciously coordinated. 3. Hours of Waiting: We waited in our car until 1 AM before calling the mechanic again. He assured us he was on his way. Desperate and exhausted, we went inside the open office and waited there until 2 AM. Despite multiple calls, he didn’t arrive until 2:30 AM. 4. Rude and Disrespectful Behavior: When he finally showed up, he was extremely rude, questioning why we were in the office — despite us following his instructions. Without any regard for my elderly parents, he aggressively forced us out into the freezing 15°F weather at 2:45 AM. 5. Inconvenience and Expenses: Stranded without a car, we struggled to find a hotel at 3 AM. After an hour of searching and several Uber rides, we finally found a Hilton. 6. Overpriced Repairs: The next morning, the mechanic quoted me $1,375, nearly double what my trusted mechanic back home had quoted for the same repair ($650). 7. Unjustified Charges: After fixing the part, they performed an alignment and claimed another part needed replacement. I asked for a discount since they were using overpriced parts (30-40% higher than other suppliers), but they refused. Worse still, they charged me twice for the alignment — something no reputable auto shop would do. 8. Exploitation of My Situation: Knowing I was an out-of-town customer, short on time, and unable to tow my car elsewhere, they took advantage of the situation to overcharge me significantly. Despite my repeated attempts to negotiate, they refused to be reasonable. Their behavior was exploitative, manipulative, and extremely disappointing. Had I been a local with more time, I would have taken legal action. However, given my family emergency, I had no choice but to move on. I delayed writing this review, hoping they might improve their practices. But after seeing other negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience to warn others. I strongly advise against trusting E&D International Auto Repair. Find a more reliable and ethical repair shop to avoid this nightmare — an experience I won’t forget, as I have never encountered anything like this before.

Three of my friends went last week for Uber inspection, and that white mechanic told them the same thing. Which light break is malfunctioning and charging them 100$ doing nothing. What he does is he unplug the light sensors and turn on the engine, press the break pad, and then the light is not working. Charge them three of my friends 100 usd. Another story is if you pay him 20$ weather, your vehicle pass inspection or fail will not report to Uber. If you don't pay him, he will report with rejection. In my situation, I asked me 275$, refused him to pay, and went to a mechanic that I know, and he just put back the light sensors unplugged by that white guy. My light works fine. This is unfair to cheat people. Please do it reasonable. I don't recommend anyone to come and pay for nothing. I am writing to you again after reading your review. Are you telling me you don't inspect for Uber? You are exposed yourself. Can't you see how your ratings are dropped? Again, stop betraying people. Enough is enough. In a few days, you will see someone will speak more than I did. Wait for it.

My 2010 Toyota RAV4 wouldn’t start, so I had it towed here and to fix the starter, it cost $411 after labor and tax. It’s only been a day but so far my car has been running after putting in my own battery. Their quote for a battery was $335 for the part and then $30 for putting it in. I got one at autozone for only $226 and they put it in for free, saved $139 which may not seem a lot but that can easily pay for an oil change and some gas. Overall I’m glad I was able to get my car fixed within a day. I would recommend it to a friend. Thank you Dennis!

I came out to a completely flat tire, later into the evening on a Sunday. I googled who was open, and I luckily stumbled upon E&D International. They got me set up with 3rd-party towing assistance, and my car on site at the garage in under an hour (roughly 2 hours before the garage closed). The service tech said they would pay the man for my tow and just add it to my invoice. He was even unexpectedly able to haggle the tow $30 lower than I was originally quoted by the man who towed it. Long story short, they took a look to see if my tire could be patched (it could) and even did an oil change (at my request) in under 90 minutes. Even worst case if the tire required replacing, they said I would have my car the next morning by 11:00, once they could get a tire in stock. The repair pricing and oil change were more than reasonable, and I couldn’t be happier with the service there. I will definitely be going back to them for any maintenance I need in the future! Highly recommend!

SCAMMERS! Avoid this shop at all cost! They will try to take advantage of you. I brought my son’s car to this shop after it wouldn’t start while he was home from college. We had the car towed from my apartment complex, and even the tow driver commented on how nice the building was and how expensive it must be to live there. That should have been the first red flag for what was to come. The car sat at the shop for over a week without any updates. When I finally got someone on the phone, they quoted us $1,300 for the repairs, including a new starter. They claimed the starter was $350 from the dealership, but upon researching the part number, we found it was actually $250 from AutoZone. We purchased the part ourselves, and they agreed to install it. When the car was supposed to be ready, they told us it still wouldn’t start because it supposedly needed a new compressor, which would cost another $2,500. At this point, I was fed up. A trusted mechanic friend picked up the car and towed it from the shop. Upon inspection, it was clear the shop had grossly exaggerated the damage to the car to justify their price gouging. The compressor they claimed was bad is fully functional, and there was no need for the additional repairs they tried to sell us. This shop tried to take advantage of a college student home on break, just trying to get his car fixed before heading back to school. The experience has left me absolutely disgusted. I gave this place a chance because of the positive reviews, but I regret it deeply. Avoid this shop at all costs. They are predatory and dishonest.

I found this repair shop on Google and after reading the reviews I thought they would be reputable / reliable. Normally, I wouldn't write a review, but they sent a link asking for a review, so here it is. I was traveling to Northern Virginia over Christmas and my SUV had an alternator issue. I knew what the issue was, I just needed a shop that could fix it on December 23rd as I was traveling out to Western Virginia on the 24th. I had lived in NOVA for 18 years and my regular repair shop wasn't open, and getting a vehicle into the dealership for a repair on the 23rd wasn't going to happen. Needless to say, this repair shop saw that I was visiting from out of state, needed my car repaired quickly, and took advantage of it. They had originally quoted me $700, which is quite excessive for a simple alternator replacement. Then, the technician said his "manager" had to speak with me. His "manager" explained that they quoted me for the wrong car (even though my car was sitting in their garage when they gave me the initial quote) and that it was more complicated to install, so it would be an additional $200.00, bringing the total up to $900.00. I didn't really have a choice since it was the 23rd and I needed my car the next day. The invoice lists the alternator at $446.90 and the labor at $425.00. With tax, the total was $898.71. This should have been a maximum of a $600.00 repair, not a $900.00 repair. But, because they saw that I was from out of state, they significantly overcharged me. Their service team was friendly and professional, however I feel that their business tactics are suspect, at best. They could have made a fair profit on this business transaction, without taking advantage of the situation. Be forewarned when you go to this business. I'm moving back to NOVA and can say with 100% certainty that I would never use this business again.

My car’s battery died, and I had to go to the closest garage to get it fixed. They were amazing with replacing the battery. The price was reasonable, and they were able to fix my car in less than an hour. The entire crew was amazing.
