Quick and easy sums it up. The key fit great, used cut by photo service. Programming the key key and fob was a breeze with the step by step directions provided. All in all is was still less than half the cost of a lock smith service and was simple. Highly recommend to anyone.

I received my order promptly; the ordering process was easy. The initial programming of the key and fob went smoothly. However, within a few months the fob functions began working sporadically at best. Replaced the battery and no better. Contacted them for help over a month ago and have received nothing more than them asking me to be patient while their tech people review my situation. Very disappointing. Either you stand behind your products or you don’t. A good company would have had a new key/fob and programmer in my hands quickly, and I’d be writing a much different review.

the door lock/unlock button on the keyfob for my 2010 Dodge Nitro stopped working...last time I had the dealership replace and program a key for me about 6 years ago it was $250, probably far more now...I researched if I could get a key myself and found Tom's Key Co...I ordered the key for my make & model and also ordered the 'key by photo' option to upload 3 photos of my key and have my new key cut before shipping...I received it in less than a week...I found info online that said if I had 2 keys that would start my car, I could self program the new keyfob without a programmer...well darned if that wasn't dead on! I followed the procedure to self program my new key which took all of 2 minutes, and it works brilliantly now! I have no problem highly recommending Tom's Key Company and I will use them from now on to replace vehicle keys

This is my experience with Tom’s Keys. I chose to use their business to get a spare key fob for my 2024 Ford F150 after multiple people posted about them in Facebook groups. 12/30/2025 - I purchased a key fob for my 2024 Ford F150. I paid a ford dealer $175 to program it and they informed me it will start my truck but the buttons will not work to lock/unlock doors. After several emails to Tom’s Keys, I was told I ordered the wrong key even tho the only information requested was my year, make and model. They said the FCC ID was wrong. Their solution, buy a 2nd key fob for $80, discounting the laser cutting. The 2nd key arrived and it wouldn’t go into the ignition or door lock. It was a bad cut, which they wouldn’t acknowledge but they “generously” offered to refund me $70 for the bad key. Their other solution was for me to swap out the circuit boards in the 2 keys so the good laser cut from key #1 and good FCC ID circuit board from key #2 would make 1 good key. Then all I would need to do is pay another $175 to have it programmed. To get 1 fully functional key, I would have to pay a total of $584. For that price, I could just go to a dealer and get key and not deal with all of the hassle. Today. I submitted requests on their website to return my orders. Even if they refund 100% of what I paid to them, I’m still out the $175 I paid the ford dealer for programming. That’s a $175 lesson to never use Tom’s Keys again

I purchased Nissan Simple Key Programmer (NISRKEZI-PGM). I was a little concerned. I had one last working key. I was afraid I would screw up my last working key. So I literally parked in the Nissan dealership parking lot. Just in case it wouldn't work. I began the key programming process. 10 minutes later I was done and I had 3 working keys. I would definitely do this again. Just from home. LOL. A+++++

Best purchase I made. Spent about 80 dollars on a key fob and a programmer. It programmed very quickly with in 3 minutes. Now I don’t have to unlock my car door and here the alarm go off every time I go somewhere! I will definitely be buying another key fob, and a magnetic box for if I ever lock my keys in my car. Thanks toms key!

Hello I just wanted to let people know about this company. I bought a 2012 Chevy Alvalanch ltz and it only came with one ignition key and one fob but knew that sooner or later one of them was going to go out. So I contacted the dealership and they told me it could be at least $500 no way I was going to pay that. So this company came to me from YouTube so I got in touch with them. Man these people are awesome . They helped me through everything from filling out the form on line to programming both ignition key and fob. And at a wonderful price. If I ever need another one this would be the first company I call with no hesitation. They are wonderful. Customer service is so wonderful. Every time I had a question they answer me right back with no hesitation. Thanks to them for everything. You guys are amazing .

Incorrectly cut my key which made it get stuck in my ignition. I had to pay a locksmith $200 dollars to come take apart my ignition which required him snapping the key off and drilling the ignition and knocking the broken piece out with a hammer. It took him over 2 hours to get it out! So I am now $350 dollars out over this stupid company's key and they are not offering any solution. I told them I wanted my money back since it costed me $200 on top of the original $155 and they are ignoring me! Poor customer service, poor business practices, use at your own risk!

I wish I could say I didn't have any issues but Tom's Key helped me out and came through. I asked what I needed to get keys and remote for a 2007 Camry. Was told the TSL-1 to program the keys. Unfortunately, the car had the maximum number of keys already programmed so it wouldn't program the two new keys I had them cut by photo. The keys were cut perfectly. I contacted Tom's and they said I'd need to order the TSL-2 to clear all the keys and reprogram the keys I had and that they'd refund me the cost and deposit of the TSL-1. When I recieved the TSL-2 I was successful at getting all my keys programmed. I sent the two programmers back with the return label and they credited me completely for the TSL-1 and for the deposit on the TSL-2. Everything I ordered from them ended up working. I was quoted $400 from Toyota for just one key. I highly recommend Tom's Key Company but I would also recommend only renting the programmer that allows you to clear old keys don't mess around with the TSL-1.

Extremely poor experience and outcome. I purchased the Simple Key programmer from Tom’s Key Company for a Nissan Altima, and the entire experience has been extremely disappointing and unnecessarily costly. The device repeatedly threw an error code during the programming process, so I called the 1-800 support line. The technician who answered seemed irritated that I was calling on a Saturday and didn’t take the time to listen to the sequence of steps leading up to the error. Instead of troubleshooting, he abruptly told me to “give it 10 or 12 tries and if it doesn’t work, just send it back,” and then ended the call. Following his instructions, I attempted the process again. On the sixth attempt, the device appeared to be working—however, it ended up erasing the only functional key for the vehicle instead of programming a new one. As a result, I had no working key at all and had to have my car towed to the Nissan dealership to have the key reprogrammed. This created an unexpected expense and a major inconvenience. I placed a follow-up call with Tom’s Key customer service and left a detailed message with their AI support system, which promised a call back from a technician. As of today, I have still not received any response. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product or this company. The device did not work as advertised, the support was unhelpful and dismissive, and the outcome ended up costing significantly more time and money than simply going to the dealership in the first place.

I don't recommend them. I bought a key because they said they had a 30% discount if you uploaded 3 photos. I sent an email with 3 photos before buying, and they only said the discount would be applied when I made the purchase and uploaded the photos. What actually happened was they charged me the full price first, without the discount, and when I went to upload the photos, their website system crashed and reset, and it just said "thank you for your purchase" without applying any discount. I immediately sent an email with screenshots, and they just said they couldn't do anything. I asked them to cancel the order if that was the case, and they refused. They just said they were sorry but never did anything to refund the discount amount to my card. And they still had the nerve to send emails saying I forgot to include the key programmer in the order! I will never buy another key from this dishonest site. Besides, they only respond with their automated system; they don't bother to call you personally, hiding behind their online system. I do not recommend them.

Great communication with staff at Tom's. I was not familiar with what exactly my wife's car was equipped with and I ordered the wrong key fob. I contacted the company and heard back within minutes. Shine walked me through the entire return process. Every company should be this efficient with their customers. I will use and recommend Tom's keys to everyone now and into the future.

Easy to order the appropriate programmer. App connected automatically. Less than 5 min to program the key. Website needs some refining to facilitate the deposit refund; but after a couple emails with responsive customer support, return label provided. Deposit refunded within a week. I will definitely use this service again whenever I get new smart keys for my vehicles. Saved me over $200 from dealership price for 1 key.

I had trouble initially with programming my remote to my original key using the TSL-2. I ended up needing to purchase a new remote so I decided to have a new key cut as well since for the 2011 Toyota Camry the key and remote are one. After still having some trouble I was finally able to get the new key and remote to program with some troubleshooting with their conditioner service via email. Thankful to have a new working remote and key!

Received my new cut by photo key, fob and programmer withing 4 days. The cut key was perfectly matched. The programming instructions by QR code walked me through the programming. I was done in under 5 minutes. Went so quick I figured I had made a mistake, but everything on my Ram fib worked perfectly including the remote start. And I guess you keep the programmer doing you have to make any other keys, you are able to. Dealership and locksmith wanted over $325. I get the expenses, but this works for me. 5 STARS!

Easy to use service, did 2 new keys, cut by photo service and a programmer on a 2015 Honda Accord. Shipping was quicker than expected. Had to get some support since I could not get the keys to activate like the instructions said. Turns out they were already activated and I went straight to programming and it took about 5 minutes to do the 2 keys. The response from the support team was great and I would recommend them to anyone else.

Fast shipping and very easy to reprogram my 2016 Mazda CX-3 spare key. Spare key never worked and the dealer was asking $500 for it. This was $70, arrived within 1 week and I literally reprogrammed the key one time right within 3 minutes. For $70! Highly recommended if you need spare keys!

Purchased a key with a cut by photo option. Received the new key and it was cut wrong. Send new pics and 5 days later a new key arrives. Key looks cut right. Start to do program process and no red light. Wow, I get a new fob with a dead battery. Is there no quality control here. Never will buy from here again.

I ordered replacement keys for two vehicles, a spare key for a third vehicle, and the rental programmer. Following instruction videos via the QR code, I was able to easily program the first vehicle (RAV4) from the existing key. For the second vehicle (Sienna), I only had a valet key left. Customer service promptly provided instructions to program a new master key: success. Each vehicle took about 10 minutes including previewing the video instructions before beginning. Programming the spare smart key for the third vehicle (Camry hybrid) proved more difficult, but customer service was absolutely stellar. I received prompt, courteous, obviously human responses to my questions (within less than 24 hours), with a series of escalating supports. We eventually realized that due to my own error I had ordered the wrong key fob. I was given detailed instructions on which item to select for my exchange. The new key fob arrived and programming took about 5 minutes. I had the ignition keys and the emergency key in the smart fob cut at my local hardware store (not a big box store; a local place with the mechanical cutting machine rather than the smart kiosks now in the big box stores. I had previously checked to ensure they could do them) for about $20. So for about 90 minutes of total effort, including 4 emails to customer support, and the same amount of money that a locksmith quoted me for ONE KEY, I have made 1 smart key, 2 digital security keys, and two remote entry fobs for 3 vehicles, and we now have two active keys and a spare for each vehicle. I cannot recommend Tom’s key company highly enough. They offer a great value for their products and their customer service is probably the best I have ever experienced. A++++

The key fob and key cutting services were executed flawlessly; however, the programming aspect did not meet the same standard. It is worth noting that a small disclaimer indicated that the service does not extend to programming a 2021 Toyota Corolla, necessitating the involvement of a specialized professional. The additional cost for programming was significantly higher than the initial key and cutting expenses, and not all service providers offer this capability. In my case, I had to seek out additional assistance to complete the process, which could have been more efficiently managed with prior notification. While the YouTube video suggests a straightforward programming process, as demonstrated by Tom Key, it is important to recognize that this method is only applicable to specific vehicle models and years.

This sevice is amazing. I was nervous and have gone 2 months without the ability to secure my jeep. The dealership quoted me $245 for the new key and an additional $100 to program it. Oh and an hour for them to do it. I ordered the cut key service, fob, and programmer. Saved me $200 and the hassle of the dealership. Arrived within a week. The key cut works flawlessly. The instructions to program were simple, easy to follow, and it worked. I went from a single Sentry key, to an additional key and working fob in about 5 minutes. If you need an additional fob Tom's is the most affordable option. And with a full money-back guarantee (even if it is user error) it's hard to argue against them!

Very nice and easy. Saved me at least 100 dollars. I was able to program an aftermarket fob using the programmer in well under 30 minutes. If you can find a hardware store or similar that cuts aftermarket fob keys, plus Tom's Keys programming with the programmer, it is a cost effective way to get a new fob and key. Very satisfied, very user friendly with great customer service. Highly recommend.

Decent customer service, but I do have a minor cautionary tale as much as the customer service did manage to ultimately, with some prodding, meet my expectations in the end. TL;DR make sure that you research your own VIN number to determine whether your vehicle trim level is compatible with the type of key remote that you are purchasing. Full story: I purchased a key for my 2014 Toyota Corolla L not because I needed an extra manual key but because I really wanted a key to remotely unlock my vehicle doors. I didn’t have any keys that could do that. Well, it turns out that the L trim level on my 2014 Corolla is not compatible with any remote keys without a dealer modification. I was under the assumption that providing my VIN to Tom’s key company was enough information to validate all the compatibility of my vehicle, but it turns out that providing your vehicle identification number Only checks the compatibility of the manual type of key that you’re purchasing. I ended up going through a huge long process with Tom’s key Company to explain my confusion only to realize this after going back-and-forth via email with their customer service. Initially, They only wanted to refund me for half of the cost of the key Which was like $20 compared to the full sum that I had paid to them for the service of about $230. I had to honestly dispute the charge before I actually got a refund of the full amount. But to their credit, they did refund me the full amount Including all fees, and even the insurance I had paid for the shipment. If I had known what I know now, I never would’ve bought the key, but the key was functional, and the instructions were easy to follow. If I just needed a spare key, this would’ve been perfect, but because of my unique situation, the key was entirely useless to me and I needed the full Refund. But because they did provide it, even allowing me to disable the key transmitter chip which I had paired with my Vehicle through the process, I decided that they are all right in the end, even though I want to submit this review to warn anybody else who might be in a similar position to me. Make sure you check your own vehicle’s compatibility with whatever extra functions the remote might perform before you buy.

I bought a used vehicle with two remotes, one of which was too corroded to work, and the other of which worked but with significant physical damage. Tom's Key Company's website helped me find the exact programmer and replacement that I needed. The programming was simple, and now I have two good-as-new working remotes. As another reviewer noted, the remote that comes with the programmer and the separate remote have different trims, one being all black, and the other chrome. I don't mind, but take note if you do.

I had ordered a key fob and programmer for my 2007 Pontiac G5, but when it arrived I learned that I had been sent a used programmer. The programmer will only work for the first car it is plugged in to, so receiving a used one meant it was worthless. Luckily however, customer support was very understanding and they issued a return and replacement free of charge. The replacement worked perfectly and I am very happy with my purchase. One major advantage of buying a fob from Tom's over one from Amazon is that you can use the programmer as many times as you want as long as it's for the same vehicle. The Amazon programmers self destruct after 3 uses (or attempts)

Excellent Experience with Tom’s Key Company – Highly Recommended! I recently purchased a used Toyota Tacoma, but the dealer only provided one key fob. After reading positive reviews and comparing the price to what a dealership would charge, I decided to give Tom’s Key Company a try. I’m so glad I did! From the start, their customer service was outstanding. Before purchasing, I had email correspondence with Mariah and did also have a subsequent correspondence with Jude, who were incredibly helpful in answering my questions and ensuring I ordered the correct fob and that everything went smoothly. Their quick and informative responses gave me confidence in my purchase. The Process was Seamless– From Ordering to Programming The extra emergency key process was straightforward—they requested pictures, and everything was handled seamlessly. Shipping was exactly as described, and my order arrived with clear, easy-to-follow instructions. Programming was simple. Once I watched the most recent video tutorial (which they provided), I was able to program my fob in under 15 minutes—it worked perfectly! Amazing Customer Support Initially, I had a minor hiccup because I was watching an older video that didn’t exactly match my push-button start (proximity fob, no auto start). When I reached out for help, their support team responded immediately with suggestions and a new video link that was specific to my vehicle. Because of their guidance, I successfully programmed my fob in about 3 minutes! The small but crucial step I missed? I needed to press the start button twice during programming. That was the missing piece—and their video helped me figure it out quickly. Bottom Line – Tom’s Key Company is AWESOME! Stellar customer service Great pricing compared to dealerships Super easy programming with excellent instructions Fast shipping I highly recommend Tom’s Key Company to anyone needing a spare or replacement key fob. They made the process easy, affordable, and stress-free. Don’t hesitate—this company truly delivers!

I’m still in disbelief that this worked. For the record, my car is a 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid/Energi. Got done with my shift last Saturday and my fob was nowhere to be found. I was initially wary of the website and the fact that there were no complaints (or few). I haven’t had get a new fob programmed in almost 20 years. In fact, it was easier than the video on their YouTube site (for the Ford Explorer). I really hope I don’t have to use them again because I’ve lost my key, but I will recommend them to anybody. Just follow the instructions…

Wow! By the time the dealership sold me programmed key it was going to cost me over $400. I saw Tome Key Company online. Looked at reviews and decided to give them a try. Sent pictures of my key and waited for delivery. Couldn’t believe the key worked after cutting from a photo. Read program directions through once and tried it. Worked first time without a hitch. I am a 67 year old male who is not an I T guy by any means. I will tell everyone that needs a key to use Tom’s Key Company. Finally a company that does exactly what it says it will do. Excellent job guys. Keep up the good work!
