I went with a friend to examine an engine-driven pressure washer. Managed to start it up; we need to feed water to the large pressure pump now. Looked at the hydra-boost on a 5 ton truck that I will get operating. Owner is a great guy, and we both like classic cars.
Since then, I do a lot more, here. They have put in a certified scale, that can weigh a semi, and have increased their efficiency, also. It is unbelieveable, what gets sold as scrap; sometimes brand new, unopened packages, even. I put items up for sale, regularly. There are always used bicycles for sale, cheap.
Today we had a trailer with 4ft walls on each side, the guy working the bucket that unloads the metal was slamming the bucket so hard onto our trailer I was worried about my tires and suspension. After we left there the walls of our trailer broke , we had to lay the walls down in trailer. And also, we had 2000 lbs of metal and was paid $120!
They have totally went down.. They used to pay great. Now everything is .06 cents per pound I had over 300lbs and only got 20 dollars. I've used this place over 10 years and they are worse than EVER
I know I had 6061 aluminum, clean. No doubt about it. That's what it was. The yard was a chaotic mess, people and trucks everywhere. Nerve wracking. Wasn't paying attention because I just wanted to get out of the confusion. Pulled out, finally and looked at my receipt and they had given me 'dirty aluminum sliding' price. Half of what it should have been. Would rather leave the scrap laying on the curb than to ever waste my time going there again.

I was ask to put my fingers printed in there system I don’t have no problem with that but I do have a problem the young lady taking pictures of my license .. with her phone I did ask she got nervous and stated with absurdly answer.. Just wanted be safe I had to reported …

Wow they gave me their own $/lb. I even showed the lady what Texas was giving for the scrap material and she said yes but we're giving this👿
They are crooks
They take anything! Copper wires, water heaters, washing machines, car doors, BBQ grills, car batteries, aluminum, brass, cans, empty gas cylinders, transmission, auto parts, anything! They pay descent by the weight.
Pretty new to the whole recycling copper thing went here had over 300 pounds of insulated copper wire. Had been saving for a while. They only gave me .60 per pound because of some excuse the guy gave me about it being dirty or something, never got his name. I later found out I got bent over and taken advantage of. But I guess thats how these places make money is f'n the little guy that doesn't know much about the business. Guess I've should done a little bit more research or they could've been a honest company and gave me what it was actually worth
