This place is such a scam. Me and my husband just went to sell copper and we know we had around 50 lbs of copper. I saw the man weighing the box half way in the scale and yet he claimed it was after writing down how many lbs it was. DO NOT GO THERE ITS NOT WOTH IT!!!
We went there with over 60 lbs of insulated #2 wire and other items. When we got home we were shocked to see only $20 and some change. The guy there who claims to be the owners son said we only had 20 lbs of wire. When we called back he said the owner wasn't there. We told him that he better have the owner call us by the time they closed or we would report them. The son called back about 10 minutes later again claiming we only had 20 lbs. He doesn't want us to talk to the owner obviously so we will be reporting them at 5 pm today
I took items there on 2 different times in the same day . The fat Mexican weighs it & writes it down " secretly" around the corner - so you don't see the scales . Then hands you the figures he's arrived at . Not very creative though $5.40 each time that day . I had an old block from a motor, tire rims & rough iron... this place is despicable , low brow .
This mexican man tells me " you came at a bad time, we are only paying 1 dollar per 100 pounds" that was a shock since i know better. He saw an older woman and thought he could get away with hiway robbery since i had about 300 lbs if metal. I am spreading the word. Why cheat people? Please dont use them.
their prices are 10 to 30 cents under Texas and local prices and weight is also lower than it weighs this is .so if you like getting screwed amj metals is the place to go
