They have always been fair and done me right. Even in the pouring rain, and about to close because of the weather; they let me unload my scrap and helped me out in a way that only us poor folks would know. I would recommend Howell recycling to anyone who wishes to LEGALLY sell scrap. I love these guys and they will always have my business.
Only place i do business with. Scrapping , it helps alot when life throws you those curve balls....theyre always friendly, and ready to help any way they can... Im ready to start scrapping again as soon as possible... I have been saving some things for years... Yall won't be disappointed!
EXCELLENT BUSINESS - Becca was extremely polite and knowledgeable. The man that weighed my crushed Aluminum Cans was at my truck before l even got out of it. FYI - The Recycling Center on the South Side of Jacksonville Texas no longer accepts crushed cans. I drove from Rusk Texas to Henderson Texas and was paid 55 cents a pound for my cans. EXACTLY what Becca quoted me over the phone
Dirtiest place I have ever been to in Texas. They paid on my 8 cents and told us 30 cents. I have been recycling for years all over Texas and I have never been paid 8 cents. Will NEVER GO BACK

Just wanted to recylcle a few bags of aluminum cans on a normal business day at 2:30 in the afternoon. The weather was fine and the aluminum can recycle shack is easy enough to find, right next to the drive up weighing scale.
After taking my cans to the shack, I noticed there was no one in attendance, so I waited for a reasonable amount of time for service. The lady operating the drive up weigh scale glanced at me but made no attempt to speak with me. I Waited longer as she was busy, but finally asked her if someone could help me. She responded with 'Relax!, someone will be with you in a sec'. Mmmmm, ok. After waiting for quite some time, no one showed to attend the shack & I took the bags back to my vehicle.
A rude employee (reminded me of festus from Gunsmoke), yelled 'Hey! ~ blathersnagabagabartbats' (or something like that). I said, 'That's ok'.
Best I can gather is that they were having a bad day, but sheeeesh! I would never treat a customer like that.
They will con you first chance they get they have very shady people working there and they will act nice but soon as you drop your guard they will con you.
