Let me start by saying, I wish this could be a 6 star review. Daniel came to my rescue when my trailer tire decided to retire without notice. From the moment he got there I felt like a lifelong friend had shown up.
Not only did he make two attempts to provide me with a replacement rim and tire, but also hooked me up with the folks at Big Tex trailers. After storing the trailer overnight Daniel recommended Big Tex as a good source for the parts I needed.
If the rest of the customer facing industries would follow Daniel’s example the world would be a much happier place. In closing Daniel took a situation that could have ruined my entire week and made it a memorable experience that will always remind me,
“Good people still exist in this world.”
Absolutely phenomenal. Daniel is the nicest guy, he was so careful with my car, i pulled out of my driveway and made one turn and my cv axel popped out of the transmission (I think I said that right) I was so worried about it being picked up and broken even worse than it was, he explained what he was going to do, he answered my questions, he even let my two year old son help him turn the wrench which was adorable. He wasn’t in a hurry and he was so cautious, instead of dragging my broken ass car up on the truck like most would have he took off my tire, and he dropped the bed down under my car just a little bit at a time using a floor jack and a block to pick it up a little more over and over again. Then when we took it home he was sure to put it somewhere my husband could actually get to it, he let me get a jack stand to put under it too. He really went above and beyond for me and my kiddos, thanks again Daniel.

Heaven Sent! My kids and I were stranded on side of 59S waiting for tow service that AAA predicted would take over 2 hours. Due to my situation AAA finally reached out to this wonderful guy Daniel, he got to us in 20 mins towed my truck and got us home safe and sound. 96 miles away. Predatory Pricing & Unprofessional Conduct
We are a towing company, and when we can’t reach a customer fast enough, we always try to help by finding a reputable company closer to them. That’s exactly what we did when we dispatched Smith Towing to assist one of our clients.
Instead of handling the job professionally, their driver attempted to charge the customer over $850 for “wait time,” which was completely unreasonable and unjustified.
Because of how poorly they handled the situation, we ended up refunding our customer in full and told Smith Towing to deal directly with the client — which speaks volumes about their business practices.
This type of predatory, misleading behavior is exactly what gives the towing industry a bad name. We do everything we can to help people when they’re stuck, and it’s disappointing to see another company take advantage of someone we were trying to help.
If you want honesty, fair pricing, and real professionalism, avoid this company.
Called for service after 10pm. Shortly there after arrived and took care of everything. Friendly, great work and prompt. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.
The gentlemen help me and my kids get home when my car overheated in the middle of the night. Very professional. The truck was very clean on the inside.
I want to give a shout out to Danielle with Smith’s Towing in livingston Texas he’s a man of his word. I called him early. This week asked him to meet me at the jail on Friday. He said no problem, sir. Let me know when you make it. Both of our trucks were stolen and recovered. He got us loaded up stuck to the original price, even though it was more work for him. Most folks won’t do that
Smith Towing in Livingston was so helpful to us in our time of need!
We were stuck with a tire we couldn’t change because the stud was stripped and free spinning. So many people tried to help and no one could get it off.
It was a Sunday. No repair shops were open and we were over an hour from home. There was no way we were going to have any help from a shop to fix our dud of a stud. No way we could put on the donut and get home.
Daniel Smith picked us up and said, “I think I can get you on the road today”. I was so surprised! Not only did he pick us up and tow us, he took us to his shop, pulled out a welding torch and melted the lug and the dud stud. He got the new tire on and we made it back home in no time. He even disposed of what was left of the old tire for us. We tried to pay him for his extra service but he refused. “It was his good deed for the day.”
Thank you for your kindness, Daniel. Others wreckers could have just dragged us somewhere and left us there. Daniel got us home.

Daniel is absolutely the best person you could hope to come across if you break down on the side of the road. He went out of his way to make sure we were able to get back up and running quickly, and didn't charge us for the ton of extra work he did. We were so fortunate to have picked his service, having been miles from home and unfamiliar with the area. Highly recommended! It doesn't get any better than this!
I’ll start by saying the workers were friendly. The gentleman that arrived helped get my semi off the road (like 350ft pull) and made sure I wasn’t blocking traffic. He informed me that his co worker was going to tow me the rest of the way. When the other worker arrived, he informed me that they could remove my drive axel before towing (for $100 extra), or I could risk getting it towed without removing it. I told him I’ll take the chance, but there was some form of miscommunication, and the axel was removed anyways. I was loaded, and was charged $768.60 to be towed 6.8mi. I wanted to be towed to a shop, but the driver kept telling me he wouldn’t take my truck there. Now, my truck is stranded at a small truck stop where mechanics can’t properly work on it. Again, the people are kind, but I feel like I didn’t get towed to the proper location and was heftily charged. Unfortunately, I’m not very familiar with being towed, so the price seemed very high to me.
The man who towed us home was incredibly helpful and polite, he even told us the company we tried to get a wrecker through, Owen Towing, was basically a scam and would over charge. He got us home safe and told us it would cost about 100 dollars less than it would if we payed the other company.
My wife and I were on a pinch. Daniel showed up in less than 30 minutes and went out of his way to help us. It was such a relief and by far the best wrecker service I have ever received. If I ever have another blow out, I sure do hope it’s o lot in the Livingston area.
I called this place for a towing service. They asked me what kind of truck I had and how much my truck weighed so I told them. When the Tow Truck shows up he says because the GVRW is more than what I told dispatch, the price will be more. Like I told him and his dispatch. She asked me how much my truck weighed, not for my GVRW. These are two different things. I understand GVRW is how you come up with the price. But your dispatcher should ask for GVRW not how much your truck weighs when giving quotes. The dispatcher swore she asked for the GVRW but my wife and mother-in-law were on the phone and heard her clearest day. Ask for the weight and not the GVRW. But either way needless to say, I will not be using them again.
Daniel did an excellent getting my truck out of a mud hole. I had fought it for 3 hours but he was able to get it out even though it was not accessible from the road. Great attitude and super friendly. Pricing was very fair and even cheaper than quoted. Will definitely use again.

Let me tell y’all about the best towing company in Livingston! I was on my way back from a funeral in Houston to Nacogdoches when my upper ball joint nut came off and I slid across the highway. I managed to get my truck to the shoulder and Livingston PD arrived to make sure that I was safe considering I was just past the overpass for Old Hwy 35 South. I told them that I had called AAA because I live in Nacogdoches and that the tow was going to cost me $300. They told me that Smith towing was going to come and help me get off the shoulder of the highway and I was immediately greatful. Smith towing arrived and told me that he could not only get me off the road, but that he could get me fixed up and save me a tow fee! He got the part I needed to get the truck on the road on its own without a tow! This towing service is hands down the best and most caring I have ever experienced in my life. They saved me that day from what was already a terrible weekend. I cannot express how grateful I am to this company for the hard work they put in just for a satisfied customer. Truly amazing people and went out of their way for a complete stranger. Thank you so much!
