I go to Tarleton and I was trying to drive home to Austin for the weekend today and my car started having transmission issues so I pulled into L&H 20 minutes before closing. The man in the front listened to my story and gave me the information I needed because I am a 19 year old girl with 0 car knowledge. Long story short, my dad is on the way to pick me up right now and they are letting me leave my car in their parking lot until we are able to figure out what to do with it. I feel so lucky to have pulled in there even though their shop does not deal with transmission issues, I was treated very nicely and they helped me as much as possible given my situation.
Scammed my dad after around 15 years of shop loyalty, replaced parts that weren't immediate issues. Pricing was ridiculous. Did a clutch for us and it honestly doesn't even feel good to me. Not to mention I waited over 2 months to get the car back.
Brought my 2017 Civic in for no acceleration. Was told they tested compression and cylinders 1&2 didn’t have any. They said that meant I had a blown head gasket and ultimately needed an entire new motor $10k-$15k because they don’t just change the head gasket. When I asked how they came to that conclusion or what other tests were ran, they said none and that if I didn’t agree to an engine replacement there was nothing more they could do.
Was advised by my brother to take it elsewhere so went to another local shop. Turns out two of my fuel injectors (replaced at 100k miles) had been installed wrong. Swapped them out and car runs like new. Do not trust these guys.
Our whole family services and repairs our cars with L & H. They’ve been honest, communicative, reliable, and helpful. The quality of work has been exceptional. We highly recommend.

Told me that they could replace all freeze plugs and drain the gas tank cost me 225 dollars to get it towed to them keep it a month and said they couldn't do it at the price instead they said from 3000. To over 9 grand they lied so had to pay for towing back to Burnet where Waynes fixed for 3400 thanks for wasting my time and money Jeff.
AVOID THESE SCAMMERS
These guys suck. I don't know how they're in business at all. They replace parts that you don't ask for, and don't fix the problem that you take the vehicle in for.
After taking car to a auto shop where they could not find the problem I had with road noise from a bad wheel bearing, this place found it, fixed it and problem was solved!
Very honest, trustworthy automotive shop. Fair competitive prices. I have used them many times personally and through our business. They've always taking excellent care of us.
