I hate to be the one to break the 5 star streak, but my experience was bad enough that I felt I needed to share it here with those who might be thinking of using Lemo towing service with Moses. I called for a quote on a very specific thing, a tow of 3.6 miles from a parking lot to a repair shop. When I called I gave the year, make and model of my van and let him know it was a high roof and extended wheel base. It was a big van, and I made that clear before I got the price. Moses said he could do it for $150 and would be there in 30 minutes. About 50 minutes later he shows up, everything is good, he’s a cool guy and loads up the van, even points out some things that he sees is wrong with it that the county wreckers most likely caused. So he obviously does care about his customers in that way, or at least tries to show that he does.
Then after the load up he looks at me and says “I think, maybe like, $200” I said no, you said $150 on the phone, it’s $150. After a bit of back and forth he finally concedes and we go to meet at the repair shop. He then asks me TWO more times for more money. Asks for $200 and then offers to split in the middle at $175. He finally agrees after continuously badgering me for a little more money to accept the $150, and I even gave him $160 to cover the fees that cash app charges. That’s not how you run a good business, you don’t try to charge people more for a specific job that was already outlined.
The straw that broke the camels back is after all is said and done, I texted him and asked him for a receipt, because I need it to be refunded by my insurance. Obviously annoyed by our interaction, he reads both my messages and has ignored me for days since I’ve written him.
I give 2 stars because he did get my vehicle safely to the location (although the front chain wasn’t tight and it shifted and was dangerously leaning to one side). And he did accept the original price after back and forth, and didn’t try anything with me.
Moses, I’m a business owner too, if I hadn’t told you exactly what the job was going to be and you said on the phone or when you arrived that you would need to charge more because it was so big and it put more wear and tear on your flatbed I would understand, but you can’t do what you did. And you especially can’t let your anger get in the way of doing your duty to your customer, sending them a receipt when they ask for it.
I had a great experience with this company. I appreciate the customer service—they are very helpful and always there in times of need. Thank you again, and keep up the good work! Highly recommended for anyone seeking reliable and supportive service.
