Came to collect my belongings from my car. The people who work here took valuables from my car and that of another person. They kept me waiting in the lobby for over 30 minutes to retrieve my car, only to find out the woman at the front desk did not do her part to actually make sure my car was coming. 0/5 stars.

Not trustworthy. Hides deployed airbags . Not ok!!! Last purchase you would think if it had hail damage all over that would have been noted. NOT!!!!! Said front end damage. If you really intent to buy you better inspect prior to sale or you will get burned. Guess that's why the 3 star rating.

Don't let the other reviews freighten you. My experience was a very good one, minus the 1+ hour trip to get here. I suppose waiting in your car maybe a problem, but for me, it was better than standing in line. Also, it seems like all my valuables were there, such as my birth certificate I had just put in my car, along with my "small safe", and tax documents that I should have long since taken out. I went on a day that I would suspect be less busy, by chance, and about and hour and a half before noon. It was not a long wait at all. Carlos, the gentleman at the front was quite pleasant as well. That's especially important after a death in the family -aka my beloved vehicle. Kind regards and thank you all so much! You have no idea how "concerned" I was. Again, THANK YOU ALL! You make a DIFFERENCE! You ALL matter! Don't ever feel otherwise. In fact everyone , small and large dose. Don't ever feel you are not important! Without a pinky toe you could loose you whole foot in an accident. No joke. Don't listen the the lies of this flashy barren and fallen world. You MATTER, whomever you are that have made it this far!

I visited copart East, they said today only auction can not preview then I visited Copart Rankin. After reaching come to know must do registration for 100 Dollar for preview. In both location copart houston there is no live Auction, Only Online. If you realy want to buy then go for preview pay 100 dollars registration online. After preview wait when will be Auction for that particular models, ask date from them. Then do biding once they online. It's not easy. If u going don't take taxi.its too far.better rent a car if you don't own.

Copart Auction House in Houston has consistently failed to honor scheduled appointments for vehicle pickups. This ongoing issue forces customers to return on another day, which does result in added storage fees. The repeated disregard for confirmed appointments suggests a systemic problem rather than isolated incidents. This pattern raises concerns about potentially deceptive practices, as it appears to financially benefit the company. Under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), businesses are prohibited from engaging in false, misleading, or deceptive conduct. Copart’s failure to uphold scheduled appointments—while charging customers for delays they did not cause—may fall within that scope. Copart should take immediate steps to address these practices and ensure a more transparent and reliable experience for its customers or maybe the district attorney should take note?

Worst customer service. Staff have no desire or skills to resolve simple issues. Prices are astronomical compared with competitor auctions. Guaranteed bad experience. Maggie, the GM, and regional GM don't care when issues come up. They lost my title, didn't have any tracking updates showing post office even receive it, wouldnt admit wrongdoing, and tried to make me pay for a duplicate. This just one of many many issues at all these giant salvage auctions. They really don't care about the little guys. Gave them that $50 for a new title but migrated my sellers account (4k+ in monthly sale fees) to a competitor auction.

Very easy procedure and fairly quick to get our vehicle back after a little wreck and the insurance company releasing it back to us. Thank you copart for taking good care of our truck.

There is no staff. Be a member, wait an hour at the office to pay and 2 hours to remove the vehicle. A lie to the membership and also want you to wait outside in the sun or spend gas.
May 14, 2025 -
Don't waste you time going inside the office, there's no one helping at the counter, I even call to confirm if my appointment was there since I'm traveling from another city and they never answer, only workers putting effort are the ones in the yard, excellent customer service very clear and simple instructions to get your vehicle

Oh my God . ,!!!!! Please avoid this place if you can. Worst customer service ever! Only 1 teller for 15 customers. I think if they have the capacity to sell thousands of vehicles per day. I guess they should have the capacity to take care the same amount of customers.

I will not be buying any more cars from this copart. They flat out lied about the car i bought that was advertised as a runing driving car when I received the car it had more damage than what was in the photos, and was not driveable at all due to the upper ball joint, c/v axle, and steering knuckle having significant damage. Was told by the gm that there was nothing she could do even though the car was under $5k I will be filing a lawsuit and contacting tdlr as far as the false advertisement goes. Over all worst buying experience from a co part i have ever had

My car got hit and was forced to come here. I checked in via the code on the sign. It said 18 mins. Was waiting in the lobby. Some lady came out of the back office and started screaming for everyone to wait outside. She was not nice, had a rude tone from the start. Everyone just started shouting back at her saying “we aren’t going outside”. Never saw a sign saying “wait outside”. Then some guy behind the counter wanted to be a tuff guy and started yelling at everyone (half the people don’t speak English so ignored him). If you want people to stay out of your lobby pay someone 7.25$ an hour to stand there and tell them instead of screaming at people. Was here years ago and the policy was never to “wait outside”. How do the elderly wait outside in 100 degree summer? The estimated wait time went from 18 mins while I waited to 30 mins and kept going up. I had already left and went outside to avoid the drama. Since the estimated wait time kept going up and the lady screaming get out and wait in your car; that is what I did. Get to my car and sit down and guess what? A text saying it is my turn at the kiosk. Their system doesn’t work since my checkin wait time was 18 minutes, 5 minutes later said 30 mins, one minute later said it was my turn. They need to fix their system. The estimated wait time went up the longer I waited and by the time I sat in my car like the screaming lady said, it was my turn. Completely ridiculous. There is no sign saying wait outside. I hate this place. Literally worse than the DMV. The employee once checked in was nice. Horrible checkin process. When from 18 minutes to 30 minutes down to 0 minutes. Lady went nuts screaming and forced to walk to my car for nothing. Don’t leave the lobby.

We had to sign in through our phones. My wait time started at 8 minutes, then 16, then 33 to 41. No one was in the lobby. The employees were just sitting there getting paid to do nothing, but tell everyone waiting to stay outside ( in the heat) and wait for a text. Bad customer service. While I was there, I tried calling and got hung up on. One star was to nice.

I recently purchased a 2017 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG For $$28,000 Dollars from Copart. specifically looking for a 'run and drive' vehicle as advertised. Unfortunately, upon receiving the car Off the tow vehicle I discovered a major crack in the engine block causing a significant oil leak. This rendered the vehicle completely inoperable and unfit for its advertised purpose. Disappointed and frustrated, I contacted Copart's customer service department to address the discrepancy between the advertised condition and the reality. However, my attempts to reach a satisfactory resolution were unsuccessful. Copart's lack of responsiveness left me with no choice but to hire legal counsel and pursue legal action.

Welcome to the WORST yard in the US, you spend 2-3 hours waiting to get loaded and then if you're lucky you'll get the fastest loader, if it's not your lucky day, well, except to get done in 45-60 minutes to load 3 cars. No consideration whatsoever to driver's time. And to top it all off, the yard driveway is HORRIBLE, I can't believe this is a multi-billion dollar institution can't afford to pave the driveway properly. And then another 30-90 minutes to get the title/keys. Well done.

8 months ago I did a review for copart with a horrible experience. As of today 01/25/2024 copart has done a full 360. I have had experiences with a guy name Angel and a girl name Alex. They have truly been so helpful and their customer service is one of the best I have seen in a while! I’ve been coming to copart 2 to 3 times a week since interacting with Alex and Angel. I would definitely recommend more people to come copart!

I had a great experience at Copart Houston. The staff was friendly, and the location was clean. Keep in mind there's usually a queue during pickup or payment times. I found it best to go early in the morning or a few minutes before closing to avoid long lines. They even have a vending machine for drinks and snacks while you wait. Plus, if you can't stand in the queue, they provide seating for up to four people.

This is the worst copart I ever been 2 hours in line every body go lunch at the same time very unprofessional and rude customer service the manager is not doing his job…the young lady pass first people that she knows is unfair..I left videos to show the answer of the manager “why come at lunchtime”

**WARNING** I have never left a 1 STAR in over 10 years of leaving reviews ,because I have never had an experience that bordered on criminal. My vehicle was towed to this facility and damaged by Copart. They acknowledged that the damage was done while there on site and they refuse to fix the damage that they did. To make matters worse, the GM Jesse Perez and Regional Mgr Tim Smith don't have the fundamental human decency to call me or look me in the eyes and tell me why. I always look at reviews before Interacting with an establishment but it wasn't my choice. It was State Farm that sent my vehicle to their partner company Copart. If you read reviews like I do, save yourself several weeks of grief, don't allow your vehicle to come to the Copart on Rankin Rd. ***YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED *** **BELOW ARE PHOTOS OF WHEN IT GOT TO THEM AND AFTER THE DAMAGE THEY DID**

Be aware of some of the vehicles. Some people buys the cars with big damage and they hammer it down trying to make it good looking then they take it back to this location to listed again. Also the person who’s taking the pictures (copart employee) is trying to hide most the damage like he try to not show the airbags deployed or he hides the bag and take the picture from a good angles. For example see the photos for one of the vehicles that is nice looking and after I checked the vin# i found the original damage. Hopping if the corporate stops that by telling the employees to get a good pictures for the damage and not hide any damages.

This is one of the worst Copart in the nation The wait time , the office personal , the yard is destroyed mud and potholes if you are a transporter be ready to spend the whole day to pick up one car. Copart makes millions of dollars and they can even have a decent yard and personal. The last time here. Big mistake!!#copart

copart in houston is the last thing i will visit. staff is misery in the office, unprofessional, services are slow. they do not deserve a penny to pay, this is extortion. after you finish the procedures in the office, a horror awaits you outside, you will have to wait 6 to 8 hours to bring the car. this is a waste of time. I advise you all who plan to buy a car in Copart, think twice before you do, because you will be tax evaded and you will lose at least 2 working days until you get the vehicle. this is the worst thing i have experienced today in copart. I could not give it a minus star, because they deserve it.

Reception people are nice but the workers that load the cars are not doing a good job i mean 6 hours to get one car come on, thats ridiculous and when asked, they explain they dont have enough staff, and no one is helping this bad for a big Company like this.

I'm new to car hauling and this is my first time here, where sitting in line and waiting to just get one car then we have to go to another copart hope the wait won't be long like this one. One transporter said that they where here from 8am to 10pm one day yikes I hope that's not the case.

Where do I begin? We came all the way from Kentucky to pick up a camper we purchased online based on pictures that hid the real extent of the damage. To add to this someone had cut off the cord that hooks the truck lights and brakes to the camper. So, we are sitting in an rv service parking lot. Because you have to have brakes to haul a 38 foot camper home. Very disappointed. The first 10 pictures show the real damage. The last 3 are the ones they posted...notice how they avoided the real distruction. I may have still bought it...but I wouldn't have paid 12,100 for it. Yes, I could have relisted it. But I am an honest God fearing, love people like Jesus would want me to woman. So, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I did.

45 minutes, 30 people in line with NO CLERK HELPING CUSTOMERS . Yes!!! Another day at Copart. UPDATE!!! After you pay for a vehicle, you have to wait about 5 hours and if you ask a question to the people at the gate please be careful they might attack you. I have a video but google does not let me upload. Basically this is how the gate attendant screams at customers if you try to ask a question “GET OUTSIDE THE GATE AND WAIT OVER THERE” what these people don’t understand is that, you are getting paid because of our purchases. Copart hires gangsters with zero manners at the gate.

For what it's worth, do not come here! Take your business elsewhere. This is the most disorganized auction I've been to. Manheim and IAA offers more superior service. Here, they don't care of you spend the whole day to pay for a vehicle or to get the title. They are simply rude, unprofessional, disorganized and highly crude. I've been on the queue for 3 hours, two person behind and the lady went on break. They have no one else to replace her. We are virtually standing while there people keep talking and gisting in group like nothing is happening. The pictures I attached speak for itself. There are several people sitting while tonnes of customers stand and no one to attend to them. Did I tell you the lot is also not tarred. There's dust everywhere and you have to wait about three hours before their forklifts bring the car. Do not come here! I repeat take your business elsewhere!

The experience is as you would expect for a company like this, going into it with the following expectations will help: 1.Customer service is ok. 2. On the day of pick up expect to wait a few hours for your vehicle to be brought to the front if you are picking it up yourself. 3. If you're not picking up yourself, the delivery service I'm told could take a couple weeks. Other than these 3 items, the fine print on the website explains the rest. If you are prepared to accept this then the experience is a smooth one.
