My elderly mother broke down in Lumberton and she called the wrecker big bird towing. The next day I called to speak to the owner because my mother wasn’t given a receipt or paperwork the girl that answered was very ugly claiming she did give paperwork when in fact she had taken it back to change where the car was going and didn’t return my mom’s copy. We needed this to get payment from the insurance company. There was a misunderstanding with all of this because the girl would not talk and explain things that I was asking so my parents stopped payment on the check until we could speak to the owner. My mom went by there with my dad to talk to him he was gone so they waited for him . When he returned and they spoke he was very ugly to my parents and told my mother if she ever needed help again do not call him he wouldn’t come . This is how the owner of a business speaks to 82 year old people .he has been paid also
This is the only way I know how to provide a complaint BUT one of the tow truck drivers almost hit me in Woodville due to what looked like they were on their phone.
Since the owner wanted to comment to the review with a BLATANT lie they most certainly did have a unit in Woodville yesterday me and my husband both were in the car. When my husband called to report the complaint the lady that answered laughed and hung up on him. I also happen to know the person of whose car they were picking up so they DID IN FACT have a unit out in Woodville yesterday. The employee driving the tow truck was a woman!
went to pick up belongings out of my car and had to wait for the guys to show up. unfortunately i didn’t get the guys name he looked to be in his 40’s or 50’s had dark hair and looked extremely grimy, he felt that it was appropriate to make sexist comments “jokes” about female drivers and that women shouldn’t be driving. it made me feel extremely uncomfortable considering i just experienced my first wreck. i felt he had a distain towards woman in general it was definitely a disrespectful, awkward, and uncomfortable experience.
If you don't like your job providing wrecker service, then quit. Don't lie and say it is required to be towed to your wrecker yard when the police are standing right there and say it doesn't have to go to wrecker yard. And then you still argue and lie.

Let me just say that I have used big birds wrecker service and so has my family for many years but never again. So my car had an issue that required the local fire department. Probably the most traumatic day I've had in several years. It was obvious to everybody, the firemen. the police the people standing by, but not to big birds wrecker service. The employee dispatched was without a doubt one of the most inconsiderate, disrespectful, unprofessional persons I have dealt with in my life. And I say this with the fact that I have served our country in the military for
over 10 years and on 4 different continents. I have dealt with a lot of different situations and people. Now I understand that if the police call a wrecker there are set contract rates for a tow. However, the wrecker service can change that Price. I, like most live paycheck to paycheck. So when I am told the tow will be over $300 plus other fees, I ask to just tow it to a relatives property to avoid other fees. I just cant afford them. They say they can't because the police called, it's a 'County Tow' and a wreck. I replied, it's not a wreck. No other vehicle or property is involved and it is on private property not public property and the police said i can bring it where i want. Now the wrecker driver got a little upset and was like what do you want then. I asked if i could negotiate a cheaper price. The answer was no. Im like i want to pay cash and have it towed to a private residence. Is that ok? I finally got it acknowledged that I could since the car wasn't on public property. But no negotiation on price. Even when I offered just $20 dollars below the regular service price. Really! Is that what we have come to. If I would have not been upset I could have called the same company or any other and had it towed a mile down the road for 100 or 150. But not BIGBIRDS WRECKER SERVICE. I don't care how good there service has been in the past, they lost me and I know I am only one person, but maybe this will cause them to stop and atleast consider there actions and not flat out lie to get a few extra dollars.

Very friendly and positive attitude when answering the phone. They had the driver out exactly when they said they would and the driver had a very positive attitude and was very encouraging. This is the wrecker service I would choose if one of my children needed a tow.
We have used them a couple times for towing or jump start and wheel lug issues. Always helpful. In a world with of a bunch of Karen's and Richard's ,where you can't please everyone, id say these people are doing a fine job.

I called big birds and and he actually referred me to another business that was closer. They told me because the other company was closer it would save me a lot of money.
Mr. Brady was so incredibly nice and easy to deal with. I called one morning to have my husband's car towed and it was done by that afternoon. He quoted me a reasonable price and took the payment over the phone when the job was completed. He met me close to where I was to get the keys and even relayed that someone had stolen my husband's catalytic converter while it was broken down in a parking lot. I will definitely use Bigbird's wrecker service again.
rude driver,mouthy passenger, would not use again. threatened to call the police when I asked them to be reasonable. would not drop vehicle where I wanted it placed
This place is a HORRIBLE buisness!! Stole my vehicle and enclosed trailer on Christmas Eve and charged $350 each to get them back. Thieves- be glad to watch this company SINK!! If I could give NO STARS- i most definetly would. Then had the audacity to curse at me and tell me they wasn't gonna be held up all day
Well Google maps doesn't bring you to the wrecker yard, looked like owners home address. Had to get Silsbee Police Department to call the person on duty to get them to call us. We had only tried for a hour and half, maybe 2 hours, without having any of our calls answered.
My minor son went into ditch. Car couldn't be driven . The driver was told to bring vehicle to home 5blks from accident. Driver takes vehicle to their yard. Already paying 350 to bring to house Now the Rudest female I've ever come in contact with says 150 more.
It was the biggest drama dealing with this in human blonde female.

Big bird Wrecker Service was used as the tow company after my family member’s accident in Silsbee yesterday. They were very professional and when we called this morning to see if we could meet them at the storage facility to get items out of the truck, they were there within minutes.
