I got there at 7:04 and lined up behind 3 other trucks, but not only did they took those three trucks, then they got even more trucks that arrived after me, first time I asked I was told I’m ahead them, they’re just pulling them to the side and I’m ahead of them and they will get done with me before them, the guys that were loading me were using a mobile ramp so they couldn’t figure out where I should be, so they moved me around 3 times from spot to spot. They finally loaded me at around 10:30, so when I got on the scale, so at that point I was told to back up because they overloaded me and when I got frustrated with the process and asked them what the problem is, I was told that attitude will not get you anywhere.
This place is absolutely horrible. Been here over 6 hours and still not in a door. They seem to think it's a joke when you inquire about estimate time. All the workers just standing around eating tacos and junk. Nobody doing work. Took 5 guys to assist on one truck. Seems like they aren't in a rush and are riding the clock. Absolutely worse experience ever. Don't ever take a load to this place. You will definitely waste a whole day. They make you park on the side of an old dirt road with pot holes that are many feet deep. They have shards of sharp medals all over the yard. You have to back on and off the scale. And it's very dusty and hot. Not to mention the many of the workers pointing and laughing and speaking in a unknown language. If you know what time you close, then how on earth do you not know how long it takes each truck to get loaded. Just a goofy place all around. Total waste of time. They ride the clock and spend more time fraternizing than working.
If they weight in pounds 0.5500 is less than a pound. I had a trailer full of cans. I know I had about 45.00 pounds. They ripped me off.
I got more money with less cans last year. I will never do business with them again!
The Mexican guys are hardworking, if I could rate them separately, it would be 5 stars
I waited 2 hours waiting for them to sort out the papers, and another hour for them to issue them, it's just horrible!!
Disregard the negative comments, these guys are amazing! I’m a truck driver so time is of importance. I had help from the guys soon as I pulled up, was directed what to do. I scaled in got unloaded and was back on the road within 45mins. Friendly Trucking will be back!!
Beware! Don’t go here unless you want to waste time and money! They don’t pay enough for metals and don’t care if they damage your truck or trailer. They won’t do anything about it! Stay away
Horrible experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone! So disorganized and no one seems to coordinate the flow of traffic, hectic and unclear where to go. I've never been to a place so unorganized in my life! First off, I came to drop off some metals and the employees were rushing me to unload and eventually a crane came over and signaled me to get out of the way as to say I wasn't unloading fast enough, he tried to pick up the scrap metal in the back of my trailer and ended up damaging it in the process. Secondly, I went to the office to complain and nothing was done about it, they said there is nothing they can do. Third and final point, the amount of metal I dropped off wasn't even worth the trip or the hassle. I have my suspicions about that scale and will not be returning ever again and will be telling my coworkers and friends to not waste their time here. If you want your truck or trailer damaged without compensation or repair, go right ahead. You can also expect terrible service and pay.
Can't get around in the place, cluttered beyond reason, and the employees are useless. Pulled in, finally found my way back to the aluminum area, had about 1500 lbs of aluminum to unload, and sit for 20 minutes waiting on someone to tell me where to go. They tell me, I get there, and after another 20 min wait I get out start walking around, find someone, ask if there's anyone working in that area, he says yea but he's on his lunch break be about 30 min have to unload it by hand myself.
Unprofessional and very rude. The main Hispanic fellow that seems to be running the back of house operations should not be running anything!! As he was grabbing items out of my hands, I was trying to explain (in English) that I was just wanting to ask about some price differences between breaking electronic power cords down to scrap copper wire and ac/dc convertor boxes versus selling as is. Instead of stopping and attempting to listen and understand what I was saying, he proceeds to wave the items and throw them in with all the other scrap he had laying around. I had to raise my voice to get him to realize I was even standing next to him and stop and give me a price. Then he starts complaining in Spanish to the other Hispanic guy about the little white girl giving him trouble. I let him continue for a little bit before I (IN FLUENT SPANISH) let him know had another box in the back of my car if scrap metal I was wanting to get rid of, if he would like to assist me in grabbing that and putting it on the scales. Go somewhere else!!!!
Its a good place to take your unwanted scrap metal to. It is comparable to the ones in Dallas, but alot closer. The ppl there are very helpful and friendly
I'm seeing a lot of reviews about no payment.. we are going through the same thing. Ran a load back in April & have not received payment nor can get ahold of anyone. Do not haul for them!
Hey, it’s a scrap metal place not Neiman Marcus. It’s conveniently located for me and as a single woman, I’ve always been treated respectfully and fairly. No problems here!

They will not pay and when you try to get in contact with them they ignore you once they find out why your calling. The company I work for hauled three load in December 2020 and still haven't received payment. The one time I did talk to someone they promise to send a check out that week and its been over a month ago and no check.
The dude at the pay window wasn’t very helpful about where to go. We were onsite for a half hour, driving around, until we randomly came across someone who could articulate to us where we needed to go (not the first employee encountered, just the only one helpful). On top of that, nobody was present to help unload and the areas to drive in are littered with scrap metal. Pretty sure I’ll need to replace at least one tire.
FYI .. this place is CLOSED on Saturday!
Their automated system plays a messages that their business hours as 8am-12n, however, save yourself a trip!
According to the sign they have onsite this was effective in March.
Very poor business management if you cannot take the time to update your voice message to inform your customers!

Would give less than zero stars if possible! They are dangerous and smelly and should be shut down permanently! Catching on fire five times is too many!!! The residents who live in close proximity are endangered by their operations. Not to mention the pollution and noise! CLOSE THEM DOWN!!!
Place is 100% a rip off.. won't give back your item after they give you cash that they way underpaid for.. take your scrap somewhere else.. I'll never bring anything back here.. crooks
Worse scrap yard I've ever been to was rudely told to leave because it took me too long to unload due to zero assistants, and was told they didn't want the rest of my scrap and that he shouldn't of let me in and wouldn't give me a proper receipt for my tin highly recommend you go somewhere else they do not want your business. And this was scrap for a business not personal
The place was relatively clean for a scrap yard and were fair with pricing. They should really consider providing instructions for new private customers in how to use the scales on the tin metal side. Another customer had to explain to me what to do. That's bad news as far as I'm concerned. Overall, the place is convenient for me and were very helpful in unloading my metals the last time I went.
OK why she say scrap metal is paid .07 cents and a 4100 pound vehicle gets paid 140$. After doingthe math she wanted to pay the scrap metal at .03 cents just like all the other yards. Why advertise one price and pay another. SMH
I went there on 8/8/16 to sell 2 trash bags of aluminum foil and 1 bag of uncrushed aluminum cans. I encountered very impersonal personnel, all for $2.50. I just wanted to get rid of the bags out of my garage. First, I had to have the scrap weighed at the west end and get my money at the east end of the building. You would think they could a afford a weed-eater.. This business is run like checking into a prison, where the clerk talks to you via microphone & you can barely see him thru tinted glass. You have to shove your driver's license into the retrieval drawer. They take your picture with a discreet camera thru the bottom right of their tinted glass. Then you have to sign for the money. I felt like I was being thrown up against the wall with my legs spread, all for $2.50. For all of this experience and the trouble of recycling, from now on, my used-to-be recycle material will automatically go to the land fill. Thanks, but no thanks! Bob Betik
