Getting in/out is horrible! The lady at the desk checking drivers in/out was very rude!! The guys working there were very nice and helpful.

I’ve been coming here for years. Great people and good prices. I don’t have to water the time driving all the way to Dallas.

Not what it use to be, can't hear the speaker and scale lady is always on her phone. You better check your tickets cause she will short you!

Just to give everyone a heads up call this place and the scrap yard on 35 south to see who is paying the most . This place paid .45 cents for the metal I was waiting in line and decided to call oak cliff metals they were paying almost double it was too late for me but I wanted to let everyone know not to make same mistake. Stay up.

If you are just wanting to get rid of your junk metals, it's ok But if you are in junk metal for cash then you.might want to go across the freeway(I-35) about a half mile and double your money (that's where they go to sell their metal) if every one is paying$8.25 per 100lbs they pay $4.50 you do the math, and that = not very fair

This place has posted on it's gate/door on the northside: "Not open to the Public" so don't bother heading over with your aluminum cans for and cash.

Place can be crowded and large amount of business from construction companies and those who work with metal as a profession. People get short-tempered when the waits are long and it is hot. Once you give them your stuff, your car has to get back on the scale in the path of customers entering, and if they are in a bad mood you have to wait awhile or risk a confrontation. Just unpleasant stuff that really isn't worth it if you only have a little bit of stuff/cans. I am from a state where we are taught getting out of the running vehicle to address another driver is ill-advised, but a truck driver told me that is what he expects if he is going to show a courtesy to a car. In fairness, the recycling place cannot control who comes when but could post a couple of signs related to being courteous to the other traffic, as it might make residential customers feel more welcome.

This place is great for recycling metals except for electronic waste. I've been here lots of times and the rates are always great, and the process is easy. However, apparently they have stopped separating e-waste, and if you bring any in it will all get priced as tin, so just be aware of that.

Took alittle while but I didn't mind waiting because the guy helping us was on point trying to get us unloaded

The place is a nightmare big trucks running up and down the gravel road covering your car in dust no one will point you in the right direction on were to put the scrape metal its a big headache ke I recommend going somewhere else to bring your scrape

Great prices on scrap. Friendly staff and speedy service I haven't spent more than 30mins weighing and offloading

Dropped off some metals here and I have to say it is very convenient the way they do things here. Thank you for the quick service. We had a gentleman greet us at the beginning which I think is a great plus for customer service. Will be back again soon.

Easy to weigh and unload. Market prices on all types of metals. Will take appliances but call for pricing before you go. Great people to work with.

Used to be the best most honest place in town I'l.,el never go back.i started noticing things like trying to group different metals in the same pay category.weights not seeming right,just a sense of dishonesty.i brought a really nice,clean really heavy aluminum block .really choice scrap.upon leaving and trying to sort out my very unexpectedely low ticket I had noticed they had given me like $2.12 for the cast block,and marked it dirty aluminum Wich it was not .I cleaned and wire brushed the item.there were several pieces of stainless steel marked as tin,and I had wire that should have been at least #2 if not bare Brite that was marked some other kind of low priced b .s.i went back in for the 2nd time in my last two trips and told the lady who seemed very irritated at my request for explanation,abbruptly stood muttered something that I gathered was she had to get simeone to help me .after 5 minutes of waiting a very large black man very fastly walking straight toward me in a very good attempt at intimidating me,stopped after I took a backwards foot planting defensive type stance because of the surprisingly abrupt approach of this man .I, by the way ,weight 230 lbs at 6'3",and this guy probably at the least had 3" and 50lbs on me at a conservative estimation.in an obviously overexagerated deep menacing voice,t(on the record this is not an over exaggerated rant a,it sounds,for I've waited over a month to write this review,so it's not an angry impulsive rant)what's the problem sir?needless to say after another 5 minutes of arguing the fact that my aluminum should have been rated way more than 9 or 10 cents per pound the man left,and after another 5 minutes came back with my block,and approved the 2.12 swap that I ended up requesting.like I said before I started noticing these descrepencies 4 or 5 trips ago.as a frequent scrapper who depends on the money that I make ,and put quite A bit of time and hardwork into honestly collecting and seperating my metals expect at least what I put into the material in a traditional morally,and ethically valued sense .I've used hlh&r exclusively for the past 10 or so years ,although they're prices are lower than most the conveinance,and the pleasnt nature of most of they're employees went a long way.im truly disappointed in hlh&r and have felt slighted really Everytime I've been for about the past year .I don't know what's going on with this once outstanding company but I'm sad to say the greed has gotten to someone in this organisation,and I for one will no longer bring my hard earned product to this particular location..what happened to you guys hlh&r?and I just have to wonder now ,how much money have I actually gotten "got" from you people over the years .I stand behind every word of this posting, and I am actively i.s.o another good yard,if there is actually such a thing anymore .

Great place and have always treated me fair. The yard is usually clean of tire poppers, but I've had one once and they paid for the repair at a local tire shop. I go nowhere else.

First time going there prices are right people are nice to people the guys in the yard are freakin funny as hell man they're good guys they have a Rewards program and the staff is just amazingly nice definitely going back to them one of my favorite places to go scrap now
