I had such a great experience today with a customer service tech named Rane. Rane went above and beyond checking my battery, explained everything clearly, and even changed my battery right there in the parking lot. He was quick, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. It’s not everyday you get this type of customer service. Rane, thank you for making a stressful situation so easy.

my car didn’t start this morning so once we got it jumped i came to o’reilly’s in roanoke to get the battery tested. sam was SO helpful in getting my battery replaced and all around such a genuine person to talk to. thank you for the help today Sam, God bless!

Recently, my car broke down near this O'Reilly Auto in a shared parking lot with a 7 Eleven after I had just pulled away from the gas pumps. I immediately saw this store and thought they probably could help me with a jump. I ran inside where there were two employees. The man who 'helped' me came from a supply area in the back where he had expressed some frustration out loud to someone or something before assisting me. He seemed perturbed at the interruption and said he couldn't help me, the jumper box was not charged and he or the other employee couldn't leave the store. (You could see my car from their window) He made no further attempt to help me. I was disappointed and a bit frustrated. I proceeded to wait for a tow. As we were loading, I noted an employee outside helping another man with a jump and some diagnostics. I just wasn't at all impressed with the customer service provided me or any expressed concern over my predicament.

5 stars to Rane at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Roanoke. I stopped in with a check-engine light after a code reader I’d bought online wouldn’t work. Rane jumped in immediately, scanned my car, explained the code in plain English, and made sure I had exactly what I needed to fix it. He was attentive, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping—customer service you rarely see anymore. O’Reilly, please give this young man a raise; he turned a stressful situation into a great experience!

10/10 russell is the man to talk to.He has blonde hair and he is super helpful and kind right off the bat. He has helped me on 3 separate occasions, with 3 totally different issues on several cars. And he is just so knowledgeable and quick to help. Even if you don't know exactly what you're there for if you describe the issue to him.And your setup, he'll be able to help turn you towards some products that will assist whatever job you have. Highly recommend to anyone and love coming here because i know the customer service is amazing. It is great finding a store that you're comfortable with

Went in to buy low beam headlight bulbs. Got great service from Rane who helped me sort through all the options. Tried installing them at home but appeared they either didn’t fit or I needed a converter kit to go from halogen to LED. Called Rane back expressing my frustration about him either selling me the wrong bulbs or not selling me the converter kit I needed. He was very apologetic and professional about it and said he would be glad to further help in any way if I come back to the store. At the store he came out to take a closer look at my vehicle when we realized I mistakenly removed the high beam bulb instead of the low which is why it wasn’t fitting. I was shocked about how understanding and polite he was about my mistake that I initially blamed on him. He even took the time to replace the low beam bulbs for me and genuinely did it with a good attitude. Very rare these days to experience this kind of service anywhere. I will only be going to this O’Reilly for parts going forward.

It was always more expensive than other auto parts stores, but it is the closest to my house so I continued to go. I would get service parts for all three of my cars there, every three months it so. The other day the associate gave me the wrong filter for my wife’s Lexus. I didn’t know this until I got home and halfway through her oil change. I live about 23 minutes away through weekend traffic. I was pretty annoyed with having to stop the oil change, get cleaned up, and jump in my truck to drive back to the store. When I got there I had to show them the correct part number, which I never had to I do in the past. After they exchanged it they wanted to charge me $4 for the difference in the price if filters. I told them I’m not going to pay anything because they just took an hour from me in wasted time. They said they could not exchange the item unless I paid them. So, over $4, they lost about $350 every 3 months. I will not go back. Bad business.

Friendly staff and quick service. The wipers on my truck were coming apart, so I pulled in. I got a less expensive option via a recommendation from the staff and then he quickly changed them out for me. They're not the closest parts house to me but they will be who I go to from now on.

Was absolutely blown away by the customer service I received at the store, particularly Russell and Tyler were the employees present. When I came in with my car issues they went above and beyond, cannot thank them enough.

Stephanie, the Assistant Manager is superb in asking the right questions to get you the part you need as well as getting you in and out of the store. Couldn’t recommend a better person to work with or a better parts store in the area.

This store has consistently gone downhill over the last couple of years. A manager change, and employee turn over has gotten so bad. Was our go to store and last time we were in the employees were rude, condescending, uneducated and blamed it all on the current manager. Too bad because we really liked this store. Maybe they will take notice and change some things instead of running off long time customers.

Russell needs to wait on customers and speak instead of be rude and roll his eyes! Needed help getting the correct antifreeze and all he did was flip and card around and roll his eyes. If you don't want to do your job, then stay home!

We were so shocked! SERVICE IN THE RAIN! My daughter needed a battery. Her car had been sitting for several months while she was on a mission trip. It no longer kept a charge. It was pouring rain, but Cameron an employee at this store came out in the rain.Replaced the battery and replaced her wipers. We were so blessed. This is not his job. Above and beyond for sure.

I have been going to this location for a couple of years. Never been disappointed. Today Cameron helped me test my battery and alternator to identify the problem. He also helped with everything I needed. I highly recommend this location. Competitive prices and great customer support.

Cameron was knowledgeable, professional and willing to help me brainstorm ideas on how to address my issue on a cylinder 4 misfire. I appreciate his assistance and would go back to this location in the future without feeling like I’d be misguided or sold a bunch of unnecessary product.

While visiting from Little Rock we were in an accident that left our rear bumper hanging. We needed to safely get back home and unable to find a body shop open, I called the store to see if they had anything we might use to tie the bumper up and Bill answered phone and said to come on in , he’d help us. Bill assessed the damage and ended up cutting the bumper off with his own handsaw, which completely ruined the saw. He wouldn't let us pay him or reimburse him for the saw. Customer service like his today is a rarity. He really went above and beyond to help us out and we will always be grateful. We’ve told our family that live in Roanoke to head over to O’Reilly Auto Parts for all their auto needs!

Not happy at all with them. I bought a used jeep a couple of months back. It didn't start today and has been sluggish to start. I went by Autozone and they told me that I had a bad battery. It was an O'Reilly Super Start Extremes under a year old. I took it to O'Reilly to warranty it since they come with a 3 year warranty. They tested it and said the battery is good and the problem is my alternator. I bought a new alternator and paid someone to put it in for me. When I brought the old one back to them I noticed that the voltage meter was saying the same. I had them retest the battery to see if the new alternator was bad. It failed as well. So they took the old alternator to the back and tested it and it passes with no issues. Then I had them take the battery to the back and they tested it. IT FAILED. Autozone was right. I was given the option to pay someone to put the old alternator back on and they would be glad to refund the money that I spent on the part that they misdiagnosed. I decided to keep the alternator because I would be out of pocket about the same once paying for the mechanic to replace it. NOT HAPPY about that. Then I asked them to honor the warranty since it was under a year old. Battery was stamped 05/21. It was 03/22. They said that unless I have the receipt that they wont honor it. So now I have a new alternator that I did not need and a new battery that I had to pay for because the wouldn't honor a 3 year warranty on a battery under a year old. So I am out almost $500 because their store and policies SUCK!!!!!! Won't be back!!!!! Go to Autozone.... Their equipment works.

Went in to buy a car battery and socket to remove and install my car battery myself after NTB was going to charge me over $300. Jacob asked me if I needed help finding anything. When I mentioned I needed a car battery, he offered to install it for me. Jacob saved me the headache of removing and installing the battery myself. He also did something for free that NTB would charge $50-$100 for. Excellent service and would recommend to all in the area.

Zach went above and beyond. Having a part in stock has nothing to do with customer service but how Zach tracked down a hard-to-find part, got it to me as efficiently as possible, and had no priority higher than making this customer satisfied. Great addition to the Roanoke location and I will be returning soon.

This store just saved us hundreds of dollars. Our car broke down in the middle of no where and we happen to be lucky enough to be near this store, we walked in and were immidielty greeted so well. Tony helped us recover the car, he was so nice, professional and personable, on top of al that we didn’t even buy anything! we need more good people like Tony! Thank you so much Tony!
