Quick, reliable and the results were showroom worthy! Zero flaws with their work and they communicated throughout the process to keep me informed. Before and a short time after photos attached. (After photo was taken after few weeks after getting it back and a few layers of dust added)
Chris Mery was the front desk representative that got my damaged vehicle repaired and back on the highway in less than 4 hours time. Excellent customer service and mechanical work at a fair price!
My car started in collision due to an accident and that was taken care of pretty quickly with great updates. Then went over to the service side cause my AC needed work, George was wonderful to work with! Super friendly and worked with me on pricing. They fixed the AC and it’s working great!
After paying for daignostics...i decided not to do any recomended repairs.Chris was understanding about my decision.The car is 25 years old.upon my request he provided phone #'s of 2 places that purchace junk cars and pick them up....he also printed off a title transfer form that I needed.I appreciate his professionalism.Excellent employee.
Took my jeep in for repairs after being hit by a deer on drivers front & back door, two weeks later this is what they gave me back. They damaged my jeep & refuse to take responsibility for it! Said it was already there, IT WASN’T!! Already had an issue with repairs to my rogue that they messed up, but had to deal with jeep first. NEVER again! Do not give these people your business! They will mess you over too. If I could give a zero star, I would!
Eric was amazing for the process of working with the other insurance company and getting my car fixed 100%. Great communication, honesty, customer service and my car looks amazing and drives better than before the person hit my car!!
They did a great job replacing my gas tank, which was punctured and skewered by a long piece of rebar. They were quick too. They even cleaned my car very well before I picked it. Thank you guys for taking care of my car!
My car had issues, had it towed to Franks. They were able to diagnose the problem, and found my brakes were bad, needed immediate attention. Chris was friendly and the service was complete the next day! Very pleased with the quality of work done at Frank’s. Highly recommend them!!
I wanted to tell you about Frank’s Automotive in New Braunfels…all the employees were professional and friendly but most of all this is a car service place that has extremely honest workers.
My car had to be towed into Frank’s because it did not start. They checked my car and realized it was a loose nut on the starter. They did not have to fix or replace anything…and they told me the truth.
I highly recommend this car service center to everyone. Frank’s Automotive will do you right!

Took my vehicle in couple of months ago and Eric (estimator) is a decent guy but they wouldn’t help with damages that were found when I received the vehicle. They said the damages weren’t on that side so they couldn’t repair yet it was. Few inches away from all the fixtures. Doesn’t take much as you can tell by the pictures but I guess whatever looks good right ? SMH I used to work in this industry and why would you let a vehicle that’s not ready when you know any damage needs to be fixed! Thought this was a good place to take but from my experience I will never spend a second back there !

Frank's has done body work and handled a suspension issue on our awd car. They kept us informed of all work needing to be done, the costs and how long it would take. Will continue to use Frank's for other than routine maintenence on our vehicles.
Franks did a good job with my car. The first time they worked on it they actually cleaned my car inside and out! It was awesome. The second time I had it in there they fixed it but didn't clean it, so that was a little disappointing. But they fixed it so I was happy.

On May 26, 2025, I brought my 2024 Chevrolet Silverado to Frank's Automotive in New Braunfels for the AAA Road Trip Ready Service Package, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The service was fast, efficient, and professional. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit stress-free.
What really stood out was the personal touch — they even followed up afterward to check how the vehicle was running. That level of care is rare these days.

Called about getting a quote. They were available right away so I stopped on. They were able to help me and get the scratches on my car taken care of. Great customer service. Fast. Friendly. Helpful. Would definitely recommend and will be back if those services are needed!
Franks Automotive did a great job overall and kept me informed along the way. My daughter hit a curb and bent some suspension parts and also damaged the drivers door alignment some in that event. Franks was able to fix everything including the door alignment issue for a very fair and reasonable price. I hate dealing with auto repair shops. I don’t trust them. I was forced to pick one local to or close to San Marcos where my daughter goes to school. I based the decision on the reviews. And for an auto repair and body shop Franks had really good reviews. My experience matches all of the positive reviews that I read. I would recommend Franks based on my experience.

Seems a little too corporate. And your correct, I've never used you. I didn't give you a bad review. I visited your shop, not for work. Talked to the service manager. And gave my opinion. Having worked in this industry for most of my life, it appears stiff, and corporate like. No one was friendly, no one really seemed to care that I was looking for a shop to call home. That is why.
My wife's bronco went in after hitting a deer they did great body work, some how after having my vehicle back for 3 days the battery dies??hmm brand new battery still under warranty so they swapped it out.. we had a new belt installed by Ford which tore three days layer due to franks repair being done improperly the hose for the radiator they installed was not tucked away properly so it tore my belt. Had them pick up my truck though they would fix what they messed up instead I got charge 357. And told it wasn't their fault. So I have it at ford who are fixing it properly, they didn't offer to refund my money for their mistake just put the blame on the belt being put on wrong smh.. do no go to franks they will just charge you and kick you out the door go anywhere else!!!!! I leave a bad review now they reach out to use as for the battery the tow guy checked the battery prior to loading the vehicle as per their policy it was good so when you all called and said it was a bad battery I let it slide cause I need my vehicle I'm a special needs nurse for pediatric kids so I needed my vehicle but your service affected my ability to get to those special needs kids smh.. and you guys keep busting our ball I paid the 1000 deductible plus this 357.. keep the damn money don't contact use anymore and my one star rating stands!!!!!!!
I have had nothing but great experiences with Frank's Automotive, and that includes both locations in San Marcos and New Braunfels. I have found the friendly staff always willing to take on new and/or various tasks related to my cars. I recently had carbon fiber trim installed on a Ferrari 488GTB. Frank's did an outstanding, and professional job on the installation. A previous task involved a "high value" car, a 2024 Nissan GTR, where an exhaust was installed. This was another example of a "job well done". Frank's Automotive employee's are car people who eagerly accept jobs that other shops normally refuse. I highly recommend this shop for automotive needs. A+
I gave two stars because the first two vehicles we had repaired at Frank’s came back flawless. Our last experience did not play out so well. Eric Avalos (estimator at Frank’s) never provided status updates. We would have to call to get information. We took our vehicle in on 4/30/2024 and they had until 5/31/2024. When we picked up the vehicle at 4:52PM, which is near closing time, they were quick to usher us out and never did a walk around with us like they had with our other two repairs. When we got home we noticed that the quality of the repair work was awful. We called Franks the following a Monday and took the vehicle back on 6/4/2024 and showed them all of the issues we found. We waited until 6/16/2024 to get a rental car this time. Our insurance only covers 50 days of rental. After making this iteration of repairs, Eric notified us that they had road tested the vehicle this time and noticed something was off. They put the vehicle on the lift and found that the rear axle had a crack in it and it was causing a wheel alignment issue. So they ordered a new axle and replaced it. On 7/3/2024 when we picked the vehicle up we did a quick walk around and the visual repairs were satisfactory to us. The next morning as I was driving I noticed some wobble in the steering wheel. I went Home and told the wife it was time to get rid of this vehicle because it will never be the same. So we bought a new vehicle and sold ours to CarMax. No way was I going to let Franks attempt any additional repairs. We were also approaching the $25,000 max limit of the person that hit us, so our insurance would have had to pay. Unfortunately I am unable to upload the video of the steering wheel. Be careful where you take your car. They were fully ready for me to take possession of this well before the issues had been resolved.
Took my 2016 Chevy Traverse in with front end damage from hitting a deer, which was heartbreaking on its own. They did such an amazing job. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. It looks brand new. They even vacuumed it out inside. Very professional and they didn’t charge an arm and a leg.
I highly recommend Franks Automotive.
I’ve been in many automotive repair shops and I have to say this is one of the cleanest shops I’ve ever seen! Spotless!!!

I immediately commented on the horrible match after I drove 2+ hours out to pick it up. "We tried three times. That's the best we could do." Verbatim. Then they said "it's an older car and the paint faded making it impossible to match." Let me ask you all a question about the way fading works... does it make factory paint DARKER?
Not only do they do garbage work and willfully lie to customers in order to convince them it's acceptable. They can't even lie well. Stay away.
