I TOOK ALUMINUM CANS I WAS TOLD I HAD 50 LBS I WENT INSIDE AND LOOKED AT THE SCALE IT SHOWED 66 POUNDS THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE SCALES OR YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF
Only place in the area still accepting scrap metal and aluminum. Today's current price was 40cents per pound for aluminum. I took in 2 shopping bags of steel cans from my kitchen and 3 13 gallon trash bags of aluminum cans and I was able to recieve over $4 for all of it. The are quick and friendly and will give your trash bags back if you ask. Please remove the paper labels from your cans and make sure they are rinsed out.
The lady and young man working there was very nice but the forklift operator was a hateful older man that even cussed at me in front of my son and was just a sad excuse for a employee and I feel bad for the employer that hired him
Got there before 4, sat for 20 minutes just to tell us they were closed. We were waiting to get the tote for cans from the one gentlemen just to have the second one tell us they weren’t taking no more loads.
When you go to mcdonalds, the employees are nice to you because they have to be. The company guidelines forces them. This place is a mom n pop scrap yard. If your not nice to them, they will absolutely not be nice back. If you come 5 minutes before they close with a few thousand pounds, of course their not gonna be happy. No one would. Ive been going here since i was a kid with my dad and they are honest, the scales are right. You can stand right there and watch them. They zero it out, they tare the containers. They USED to be a little low on prices back in the day but now, they are literally the only outfit in town, so what choice do you really have. Their not so low on prices for it to justify driving to another town unless maybe you had a ton of copper.
Good place to get rid of metal junk and get paid cash. The people were helpfull and hardworking.
There are no truck scales and you offload onto a raised loading dock into bins. If you have alot of heavy stuff one with truck scales where you offload onto the ground would be better.

Service was terrible and the prices they paid were about 1/3 of what the other scrap yards are paying. On the positive side the place was basically empty both times I went monday afternoon to sell my scrap and friday afternoon to go back and get my money. I regret taking my scrap there and even though Im not much for writing reviews I am writing this one so others dont make the same mistake I did. I took 29 lbs of #1 copper tubing which he paid me about 1.40 lb I think it was hard to read his writing 2 lbs insulated #1 wire that he mixed in with the 3 lbs of insulated #2 wire and paid me a little over a dollar all together, 2 ballist he gave me 90 cents for, 5 lbs of lead he gave me 80 cents for 8 - 10 lbs of dirty alluminum, 2 dewalt batteries, 8lbs of cappacitors, 2 lbs of clean alluminum, 2 lbs of dirty brass, and 2 lbs of stripped #2 wire (because it was so thin) all together they gave me 80 dollars. 6 that monday and I had to come back friday for the othe 74. Besides the guy having an attitude and throwing stuff around because "he was Tired mannn" I was expecting around 100 bucks for the copper tubing alone being that the scrap value for #1 copper tubing is currently close to 4.00 dollars lb. I had all of my items sepparated in containers when I arrived and have been scrapping for many years down around VA Beach, Va so Im familiar with the process and try to make it as easy as I can on the people that work at the scrap yards and there were only 3 trucks there the whole 45 minutes that I was so I dont know why the guy was so upset but I do know that I regret taking my stuff there and wouldnt recommend this place to people I dont like. It is by far the worst scrap yard I have ever been to. Please dont make the same mistake I did because I have regretted it ever since. I think I figured out why the place was so empty I just wish I would have figured that out sooner.
The Pros -Very helpful and friendly employees.
The Cons - 320 lbs of steel @ $.04 lb = $12.80 = A total waste of my time loading and hauling a bed of steel. Pic shows only a third of what was hauled. Wished I'd called Wise Recycling first. Their buying rate was much higher. Lesson learned.
Anybody can post anything in a review.It requires no proof.All I can do is share my personal opinion from experience.Take your business to another recycler.
It shows they are open on Saturdays from 9-12, but they were not. Drove my trailer full of metal up there and nothing was open. It even showed on their handmade sign that they were open on Saturdays. Don't waste your time!
