This place is ridiculous. First off I brought a set of Volvo wheels with good tread on the tires. I was offered $20 mind you there was four of them. The tires were good could’ve sold it as a set of course I refused !!! everyone else offered a heck of a lot more just a rip off. They don’t care about their customers if I were you I’d go somewhere else even if it meant further driving distance, you’ll Be better off in the long run!!!!
Shady business, you're better off giving away your scrap or recyclables. What they pay is massive profit for them and pennies for you. Oh well, first and last time I go there. They will probably make the news one of these days. I've seen it time and time again.
Two months ago, before my family and I moved back to Georgia, we took our 2009 Hyundai Sonata to Green's Recycling and sold it to Cody Green for SCRAP. We received $300 and was told they were unable to give more than that because it was going to be scrapped. This morning, my husband (who had no dealings with Green's Recycling...nor was his name on the title to the car) got a message from Cody Green stating that someone had a lien on that car...Concerned after my husband told me this, I called the Loudon County Courthouse, gave them the VIN number and they told me there was no such lien. Later on, I get a message on Facebook from a female I've never met before asking if I sold a Sonata to Cody Green..to which I replied that I didn't sell him anything, but yes, I took my Sonata to his business to have it scrapped. She then informed me that he sold it to her for $2000 and didn't fix all that I know was wrong with it. The problem with him selling this lady the Sonata is the fact that he NEVER had the title put in his name, he sold it under MY name, which was still under the Georgia title. HE ILLEGALLY SOLD THIS CAR UNDER MY NAME WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION. Again, this car was supposed to be SCRAPPED. Cody apparently thought he was going to be able to get away with this stunt...but because I never got it changed over to a Tennessee title, the lady can't even drive the car...(not that I even think it's safe for her to be driving anyways) This place is a SCAM...or at least Cody is. I can't speak about the other employees...I haven't dealt with them...but I can tell you, I've gotten in touch with a lawyer to find out how to proceed with this.
This place is a scam to make them rich. They dont pay the going rate.There prices on metal are a 1/3 less then anywhere else. Their rude. They sit around and talk when customers are standing and waiting for service. The only people thats giving them good reviews are their friend or business dealing. Everyone in this town know they are shorting people every chance they get. Go anywhere and you'll see that I'm telling you the truth. Greens is a rip off!
They weigh your metal in a dumpster not telling you how much the dumpster weighs took two hundred twenty pounds there of steel .I was told I only had one hundred pounds.my opinion I wouldn't use them
We called first and no one answered. When we showed up they started closing doors on us and in the rudest way possible told us they were closed. And we weren't even there that late in the evening. We showed up just before 12.
