If you manage to let your AAA expire as I did, give Chad at fountain city wrecker a call and they will get you out of any tough situation, or at least they did for me. Left the truck in neutral and it rolled down the hill into a massive mud pit. No damages but was totally stuck. Chad and his guys were there in an hour and I was on the road 10 minutes later. Amazing service and will definitely use again when needed.

Chad and his team at fountain city are wrecker are amazing. I had a wreck a few months ago and called Chad in the middle of the night to come help me get my vehicle out of an embankment that had hit a tree. He said as right there so fast to assist me all the way through. It didn’t just stop at just making a check to tow my vehicle but he checked in on me multiple times to make sure I was feeling okay and didn’t need anytime.

The driver was so patient and careful with our Acura. Our 5 year old got a huge kick out of the rollback and the driver talked to him about what he was doing and how it worked. Absolutely terrible customer service! Completely rude and inaccurate with time. I will be using a different company next time. Not to mention the driver was also being incredibly rude to other drivers on the road, tailgating, honking, flipping people off. Would not recommend. Would give 0 stars if possible.
One of their drivers merged on top of me and when I blew my horn to let him know that he had cut me off he proceeded to brake check me for the next half mile. Had no regard to his own safety or anyone else around. Will never be calling them for help.
They seemed nice but totally screwed me up and charged me full price. Called in at 5pm to get a tow and was told they would get the car within an hour or so… i was then called back at 8 pm to say they didn’t have anyone to come get it now and that my car would have to stay there over night. I had to call all the businesses to make sure that was ok and then call my auto shop who was expecting the car when they opened today. The lady told me they would get my car at 8am, then I had to call them at 9 am to get them to go get it still because the auto shop had already opened… now hours later I’m still waiting at auto shop and my car isn’t being worked on because they had five other cars show up BEFORE MINE DID because the towing place took so long. So now a full day later and my car still hasn’t even been looked at… thanks for screwing me up Fountain city wrecker.
Horrible driving, runs red lights, tailgating, trying to pass in a curve and trying to run me off the road. Drivers have road rage all the time. It's gone down the drain since the old man passed...
The staff here is always so friendly. I hate that I have had to go there so many times over the years. But they are pretty great people. Everyone I have ever had to talk to on the phone or in person and even the drivers. Keep up the great work and I will definitely keep using you when a tow is needed or when in a wreck. RIP to my son's Impala.

The driver they dispatched was very patient. We had alot of trouble disconnecting the driveline and disengaging the emergency brakes (no air on the truck) and the recovery was in a very tight spot while traffic wouldn't move over. He never lost his cool once and when we got where we were going he backed my truck up a long hill straight to where I wanted to drop it. Also alot more affordable than I predicted it'd be for a rig this size.

Using Fountain City Wrecker Service, Inc was a great experience. Jeremy was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my car and I got where we needed to go. Service was timely and rates were reasonable. I highly recommend them if you ever need a tow.
My teenage son, having never had a totaled car hauled away before, excitedly ran towards his car once we pulled into their parking lot, eager to get has school stuff out of it. Some man with a bad temper and on a power trip decided their customer service involves screaming at us. All because my son didn't know he should walk into their filthy office and check in first. Class act and the pride of Fountain City, I'm sure. Check yourself and get therapy, dude.
The woman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. The angry man should not be front facing customers until he learns how to take a breath.
They might be cheap and nice if they're working for you but can be a complete @$$ to the general public. At least that was my experience today. Money better spent elsewhere.
Update: I had no issue with the road being blocked as I was in no hurry. I sat quietly and patiently. I understand everyone has a job to do... that wasn't the issue. The issue became the issue during our interaction after the road was opening back up... when you could've used the cul-de-sac directly in front of you, to let people pass but instead blocked us in and threw a fit in the middle of the road when we didn't back down the road... reminder, an open cul-de-sac was directly in front of you.... then when I used the cul-de-sac to let you pass, you preceeded to turn around like I previously asked you, just to block me in again, not letting me pass... I have the video if you'd like to see it?
The response to this issue and continued smart @$$ remarks (FYI...Google doesn't help when it's one way out and it's an indicator of how little thought you put into it this morning and into this response) is a clear indicator that this is your normal business practice and further bolsters my review of "Your money is best spent elsewhere". Truly was an unnecessary interaction. Like I said in my call this morning, I'm not expecting or hoping the guy gets fired. I wouldn't want that over someone having a bad day... my feedback was only to let you know that you should talk to the guys and use it as a learning opportunity to do better... as they're the face of your company interacting with the public daily and should be better and more professional... but if this is the mindset of the whole company then I can see that I was wasting my time calling. I can see from some of your other reviews, others have experienced this as well... so not an isolated incident.

These guys were recommended by the shop I had to have my car towed to and they were great! Both the guy on the phone and the guy who came out were friendly and polite. They were there within an hour (even though I told them no rush). The guy who loaded my Subaru onto the flatbed was extra cautious because it was raining. I think his name tag staid Stacy. Thanks guys! Hope I never have to use you again but I will if the need arises :)
My mother lives in Knoxville - I’m in CO- Around 9 PM TN time, I called as my mother’s car had a dead battery from that cold snap for the last 9 days. Driver was there in about 30ish minutes, was very courteous and got her going. Everyone from the dispatcher to the driver was awesome!
I needed to have my truck towed after it wouldn't start after the freezing temps. After calling at least 7 other tow companies, this was the only one able to tow my car. JJ was friendly and professional and ensured my truck was carefully put on the tow bed. Great price and highly recommended
On Saturday morning around 8am, October 28th, had an extremely unpleasant experience with a wrecker service in Fountain City. The behavior exhibited by one of their drivers was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about this company.
As I was driving along the road, minding my own business, I suddenly noticed a large wrecker truck tailgating me aggressively. The driver seemed to have no regard for the safety of others on the road, as they continuously screamed out of their window and made obscene gestures, including flipping people off.
To make matters worse, this wrecker truck was speeding in the left lane, well above the speed limit, with a car strapped to the back. It was a dangerous and reckless display of driving, especially considering I was already going over the speed limit in my own vehicle.
The driver's aggressive behavior and apparent anger issues were highly concerning. It is completely unacceptable for someone in a professional position to behave in such a manner. I was left feeling intimidated and stressed throughout the entire encounter.
Furthermore, I strongly advise anyone in need of a wrecker service to avoid this company at all costs. Based on my experience, it is evident that their driver's behavior poses a significant risk of causing further damage to vehicles being towed. The lack of care and disregard for safety displayed by this wrecker service is truly alarming.
Needless to say, I will never consider using this wrecker service after this incident. The behavior of this driver reflects poorly on the company as a whole. I expect a higher level of professionalism and respect from any business that I choose to engage with.
My experience with this wrecker service was beyond disappointing. I hope this review serves as a warning to others, and I sincerely hope that the company takes appropriate action to address the behavior of their driver. If you value the safety of yourself and your vehicle, I strongly recommend avoiding this wrecker service altogether until this driver is fired. I used them in the past but sadly after this incident I will not anymore.
After reading another review from 4 weeks ago concerning a hot headed driver, I would assume it’s the same guy.
Update: I reached out to them, if this is resolved I will definitely remove this negative review since it wouldn’t reflect on the business itself at that point.
Update 2: I guess this behavior does reflect on the business itself, it’s been a week and I got completely ghosted after messaging them, as they requested I do. I’m not sure what the point was in requesting me to reach out if I am to be ignored.
We called every wrecker in East Tn to help us get our camper up to our new property and every last one of them (including a man with a bulldozer) told us they were scared or just didn’t think they could do it (easily an 85 degree angle) ; BUT, BOY DID CHRIS SHOW UP TO THE RESCUE! He told us he wasn’t leaving until he got it up- an hour and an half drive- one way, and 6 hours later, after working over night, he got the job done. My family and I are so grateful to him and Fountain City Wrecker service. From the super sweet woman answering the phones, who made the effort to communicate with us (we never got her name), to Chris saving the day, we cannot recommend FCWS enough. You guys are literally the best. Thank you, so, so much for helping our family.
