I had a junk car I needed gone so I messaged them about it. They got back to me almost 2 minutes later plus they gave me the top price and was here to pick it up the very next day. Everyone I talk to was extremely friendly respectful and full of knowledge the driver that come out to the house was very respectful even showed my kids how to load it up and they love that I will definitely be using them in the future for all of my scrap needs
So I came to this salvage yard thinking they would give me a good deal on the parts that I need for my vehicle., the miserable guy up front was acting very bad and greedy, it was my first time here and this was the worst experience of my life. It took me 3 hr to pull the parts off that was a pain to take off and I come to the front desk and he tells me a ridiculous price 3x the price of what the part is worth. My offer was way more than what the parts were worth and he still wanted double. This manager whoever needs to get fired, acts like an animal. Please stay away! I’m very disappointed and had to leave everything there. This is sickening ,

I had a couple old vehicles that didn’t run and didn’t want to deal with hauling them off myself. Got in touch with a few different companies to come pick them up. TYS Recycling offered the most for the vehicles! Over double what everybody else was offering. And they came and picked them up less than 24 hours after I got the quote from them!
I had a extremely bad experience with a competitor. Called them on Monday, receptionist told me they could pick up the car on Thursday. Never heard a word back. I tried to call twice on Thursday, got sent to voicemail. So this morning I called TAS. Young lady told me she would get a driver out between 12:00 - 2:00. Johan came at around 1:15 we signed papers. He is hooking the car up as we speak. Check in hand fair price. I'm very pleased with TAS. And Johan was very polite and courteous. Very professional. You don't have to worry about being taken or conned into changing your price. It was a very easy transaction with driver. I would choose them again if I ever needed their help.

Paid more than anyone else in Knoxville and near double what pull a part offered me. Pick up of my vehicle was quick and went smoothly. After about 5 min of paperwork he cut my check for me and I didn't even have to wait around while the car was pulled up onto the rowback.
These folks are great. Came and picked up my junk cars for a fair price, then brought a dumpster to put the rest of my scrap metal in. They will pick it up also and pay me for the contents. Didn’t have to get on the road with any of it taking it to the yard myself. Very convenient and quick.
Had a car that constantly overheated and was going to cost more to fix than it was worth. Sent a message to TAS on their website with the cars make and model and year, answered a few other questions and that was it. Received a text a few minutes later with an offer that was very reasonable. Scheduled a pickup and met the tow truck driver the next evening. He done his thing gave me a check and I left to take it to the bank he was gone before I got back. Awesome!

I had some older vehicles that needed more mechanical work than I wanted to spend the money on. TAS Recycling made me a fair offer, we agreed upon a time and they sent a driver (Fred, great guy) to pick the vehicles up.
What I really appreciated was the attention to lawful detail that was provided. No shady dealings what so ever. Everything was transparent, open, and honest. When dealing with older "junk" vehicles, sometimes "grey" areas are exploited with regards to titles, registrations etc. Not with this company.
I contacted TAS Recycling via website on Thursday afternoon. After some details were provided via a couple of text messages, a time was set for pick up. By 10:00 a.m. Friday the vehicles were gone, I had $$$$ in hand, and I had more yard space!
