You would think if you wanted to run a business you would be smart enough to know how to answer a phone or at least hire someone who knew how to answer one, it would probably help your business increase just saying. Can't get prices on metal or to see if they're even open because no one knows how to pick up the phone at this place

Do your due diligence and get pricing from others. There is a reason why it's cramped over there. Don't pay near enough. Lesson learnt

2 Stars for being open Sunday. Lowest paying yard around. Mostly friendly. Currently at .05/lb on steel, TN Auto Salvage is at .09/lb. They won't take a refrigerator, which I believe is because they take their Dumpsters to SA Recycling, and SA deducts weight for plastic. If you mention another yard paying more, you're told, "Well go there then." If you're desperate on a Sunday use at your own discretion.

They literally have 2 scales, and one is off. Which is the one that they use to weigh steel, they also put your copper on that one, making you lose money, quite a bit actually. All other speciality metals go on the other scale, which seems to be correct. Yea you get your copper check same day, but he’s the lowest paying in Knoxville so it’s not worth it. Unless you just absolutely need the money on a Sunday, cause they’re the only ones open. But keep in mind, they close whenever they feel like it, they also play favoritism to certain sellers, allowing them extra weight on their false scales. And also have been known to tell sellers “they’re out of money” just because they want to close early. Just a little reading material for the curious minds. Can’t make this up. I got video proof showing our copper was off. So just make sure you put your own copper on the scales, weigh it on both to insure accuracy.

My husband scraps all the time and this is by far the worst place ever. They don’t even have scale, no one speak English. If u have long metal u can’t unload it bec all they have is 6 by 6 containers that u have to load it before getting it weighted. It’s a joke for calling it a SCAPE YARD!!! I wouldnt recommend any waisting there time.

My husband scraps alot. Has for years. He will never return there. They don't know the difference between copper and brass. Employees don't speak english!! They pay less than half per.pound as the other yards.

I’m always in and out quickly, even if there are loads ahead of me. The price for steel is a highlight for me, as they are often the highest paying in the immediate area. All other metal prices are fair compared to what I see around town as well. They are working hard to get you on your way.

Not a good place to bring any scrap and they will damage your vehicle this is what they done to my truck after they tried to screw us over going to a better scrap yard that don’t rip anyone off I will not come back here if I can give any stars it will be no stars

I have been told the 3 times I’ve been here they are open until 5/1700 every day Sunday through Saturday. I came in with a Very Heavy load in order to make the money I needed to pay a bill or two. I pull in at 1633 and they are closing up the gates!!! I see another loaded truck in front of me which couldn’t get in to unload either. I saw a Lady jump out and she was livid about the fact they weee closed! She said she’s about to make a complaint to the owners about the fact this makes several times she’s came only to find the gates closed. It was odious the employees saw the truck she was in because they only had the unload side shut and the other side was still open. They shut the gates regardless of the fact that two loaded trucks were sitting there with a large amount of metal. The lady said she wasted every bit of fuel to get here in hopes to make enough money to go scrap more tonight and tomorrow! I myself used all my fuel and now have a heavily loaded trailer with no where to unload!!! NOW I CANT GET OTHER JOBS HAULING, SCRAPPING, PICKING UP BROKEN APPLIANCES TO REPAIR etc… I agree with the Lady in that someone needs to reprimand these employees because this has cost the company money today and money in the future if the customer can’t get out and work to bring in other loads!!! I MEAN THATS NOT WHAT ID WANT FOR MY BUSINESS NOR CUSTOMERS!!!! Maybe someone else should consider opening up during the weekend hours???? I wonder if the employees were actually owners??? This would explain things!!! As far as I’m aware they have the monopoly on Saturday afternoon and Sunday because no one else is open! I’m not positive about it but??? (personally ID FIRE THESE FOLKS!!! unless maybe they own the place???) Now this being said…..Anyone out there who wants to open Saturday pm or Sunday I’d be willing to operate the place for a good wage and a cut of the daily profit from just those hours!!! lol SERIOUSLY I WOULD THOUGH!!!

If it was possible to give 0 Stars I would do so they were rude unhelpful and I also found out that they break the law and give cash for copper on the spot. I will never ever go to that company again. I like to deal with honest people...!

Always quick and helpful, and they have paid me a few times for small appliances no one else takes.

They are very nice here. I stopped in and they immediately came up to me and helped me unload a pickup truck load of scrap. I was in and out in about 5 minutes with cash in hand.

Don't waste your time. I specifically called for a quote and once I got there they tried to short me five cents a pound on a 3k pound load.

I go here 2 or more times a week, always best pricing on scrap metal @ $5 per 100lb , great group of guys willing to jump in and help. Will continue to go here because of that. Grade A in my book

Always been friendly and fast, you’ll get slightly less than a big yard but you’re in and out in 15 mins plus they are open Saturday which the big yards are not, it’s a compromise I’m willing to make, as the prices are always within 5 to 10 cents Haven’t been to PSC in years

Very nice young man helped us unload our truck Saturday 7/14. Friendly people, no waiting and open on the weekend. I will continue to take scrap here because the few cents more at other locations is not worth the bad attitudes, long lines and having to unload it all yourself.
Jul 16, 2018 -
The picture is not actually the location, it's the next outlet down to the right when looking at the building in the picture. We handed off a decent amount of copper for good pricing, however the steel value was too low for us to be interested.

This is the best yard in Knoxville. The lines at psc is not worth the wait when you can go here and be done i 15 mins. They may pay a nickel less but have always been right on the money compared to larger yards and like I said if they do pay less its within a nickel which is definitely worth it as I value my time.

Yes they are open seven days a week who really scraps on a Sunday? I go to church I live in Seymour the place that I use is Scrapmaxx recycling on 1999 Chapman Hwy. They are not open on Sunday but Monday through Saturday 9 to 630 . If .That doesn't cut it I don't know what does
Dec 24, 2016 -
They dont pay worth a flip. I usually go to PCS Metals on Central ave but went here cause psc was closed. I got less then half the money i wouldve if i had went to psc. They only pay like .33 per 100 for steel and aluminum.
